TFS. My husband and daughter have glasses from zenni. They both seem pleased. My plan is to order for myself this year. I thought all of your choice looked nice.
Hi Susan! Yeah, I think it's definitely worth checking out. I was skeptical at first, especially because their glasses are so cheap, but they worked out for me. Thanks for watching! :)
Hi Tisha!!! I didn't get notified when you posted this.😡 I was just checking to see if you had posted a new video and found this. I've never ordered glasses online. I've always been skeptical but the company you chose seemed to make it pretty easy. My favorite was the first pair but I did like all three on you. They all fit well and were the perfect size and shape for you. I thought the price was reasonable especially with a complicated prescription. Tfs Hugs for Sammie, Kaia and Mollie. 🐕🐕🐈 I hope you and your family have a blessed and happy Easter! 🐤🌷🐇❤
Hi Mary!!! Hope your'e doing well! I've been very happy with the Zenni glasses so far and the prices are very reasonable. I'm going to be posting a new video this weekend...so be on the lookout :)! I did some on-line shopping on Walmart.com and got some cute things. Anyway, take care and thanks so much for your support! :)
I have Zenni progressive sunglasses. Great service, good frames, I got the $30 frames. The whole package, including Polarized lenses, was $85 two years ago. My clear glasses are Ray-Bans. The Zenni’s are just as good.
Tish, I love your top, black and white gingham with daisies…where did you get it? As always your reviews are very helpful. I’m glad you tried Uniqlo. I bought the shorts for me.
Hi Julia! I got the b&w top from Old Navy and you can see it in my last ON haul. I love uniqlo and have worn those shorts a ton. They are so comfortable! Thanks so much for watching! :)
Hi Karyn! Thanks for your feedback ~ I think I will try to put together a review of Noom. I'm not sure if it's for everyone, but it worked for me. Thanks for watching! :)
Hi I want to order but an a skeptic when it comes to ordering glasses online. I just came across your video. I also have a high prescription and yours looks really nice. Doesn't look like you have a high prescription at all. My prescription is -5.75 and -6.00. May I ask you what is your prescription. Thank you
Kinda happy it was as the first two not really my fav or care for them but have them now to take the frames in to have my prescription lenses put in them lol but I may also just donate them lol 😆
I ordered from Zenni too. At first I ordered 2 pairs, but then I cancelled one of them. I should of kept both. I'm so bad at making up my mind. Found one pair I liked then one week later found something else I liked. Well maybe I don't need 2 pairs.
I'm a former optician, now retired. It may actually surprise you and your sister to know that Zenni has been around for over twenty years, that I'm aware of anyway. I first became aware of Zenni from the girls working in our optical store. I'm not really sure how they found out about Zenni but once they did they were ordering glasses and sunglasses quite often. I was very skeptical of Zenni at first because of how inexpensive their glasses were. I insisted that my girls would allow me to first check the prescriptions of their glasses before they started wearing them. I didn't want any of them damaging their eyes by wearing glasses with wrong prescriptions in them. I only had one case that seemed like a mistake was made. It was for one of my girls that didn't need glasses that had perfect vision. When i called her over and told her that her glasses were made wrong she turned a bit red in the face and admitted that it wasn't a mistake. She said that she had been borrowing one of the other girls glasses to wear just because she really liked her co-workers glasses .that much. She said after wearing them at work for a few days she could see perfect wearing them. So she found out that the prescription of the glasses she was wearing was -.75 SPH. So she decided to order her own glasses in that prescription rather than non-prescription glasses. So all of their glasses were as accurate as if our own lab had made the lenses. I also couldn't help but notice that the quality of their glasses was every bit as good as any we sold in our store. Now something you said I think is what scares many people from even considering ordering their glasses on-line. You said that you have what you believe to be a complicated prescription. I'm 99.9% sure that your prescription isn't complicated at all. I can see by looking at your glasses that your nearsighted so that's only one number per eye. But you most likely also have astigmatisms that is an additional two numbers per eye for a total of three number per eye. That's the case for at least 99.9% of people wearing glasses. Since you wear progressives you have one more number per eye to enter. I'm sure the reason people think their prescriptions are complicated is because of all the testing being done by the doctor. And of course the stronger the prescription the more you tend to think your prescription might be complicated. Every time I have helped anyone order their own glasses they almost always are surprised by how easy it really was to order their own glasses.. Actually the most difficult part is getting the right size glasses that will fit you best. But even that has several ways to make sure of a nice fit. If you look at any of your previous glasses you purchased from a local optical store, you will find a set of three numbers on the inside of the temples Those numbers are indicating the size of the frame. By matching rather closely to those numbers with glasses you see on line should provide you a very good fitting pair of glasses. The first number you see is the width of one of the lenses in your glasses, The second number is the bridge size, the part that fits on your nose. And the last number is the length of the temples. Another way is by measuring that previous pair of glasses across the face portion using a millimeter ruler. That's the overall width and by matching that size with glasses you see on-line also should provide a good fitting pair of glasses. About measuring your PD. I highly suggest having someone else actually doing the measuring rather than trying to do it yourself in the mirror. Here's why. You're rather nearsighted and without your glasses you probably need to have your face quite close to a mirror to even apply makeup. By needing to get that close to the mirror your pupils were slightly closer together than they would be looking at a distance which is the type of measurement you should have gotten because of being nearsighted. Having the correct PD is really very critical the stronger the prescription is. For a very weak prescription it's not quite as critical. Just to see how close you were at 60mm, next time you are with a friend or relative have that person measure your PD for you several times. Remember to have your eyes looking off into the distance as there doing the measurement. Don't be surprised if it comes out being closer to 63mm. Your glasses look really cute on you. I am a big fan of semi-rimless frames and especially smallish ones with a slight "cat-eye" shape. And they look really good on you as well. The only issue you were having is that they need to be adjusted or fitted to to your face. All you need to do is take your glasses to any optical store and have them do that for you. There is no charge and they don't care where you got your glasses from. If you near a Walmart Supercenter you have maybe noticed that every store has a very nice vision center right in the front of the store. It will only take them a couple minutes to have your glasses fitting you perfectly. You were very smart in getting glasses with adjustable nose pads because that will allow an optician to make any adjustments necessary so your reading segment is located properly and not sitting too high or too low. If had gotten glasses with the molded plastic nose pads it would be nearly impossible to make any adjustments for that. By the way that back area of your glasses is called the "earpieces" The arms are called "temples". Now you ended up paying $149.90 which is a lot of money for glasses. but considering everything you got on your glasses the same glasses would have easily cost you well over $350.00 at a local glasses store. Zenni only charges $16.95 for the Blokz and local optical stores charge around $50.00 for that alone. And of course if you only needed single vision lenses and in a weaker prescription your glasses could have been as low as $6.95. If you were to ever want prescription sunglasses depending on how much you need your glasses for seeing close up is you could just order them as single vision for driving and being dark sunglasses you wouldn't need to bother getting the thinner lenses so the only add on would be the cost of tinting them as sunglasses which is only $5.00. So by choosing a pair of regular glasses in the $6.95 price range and adding on the tinting your sunglasses would only cost $12.00. So as long as your able to see the speedometer through your distance portion of your glasses single vision would work fine for you for sunglasses. I honestly, and by the way I am always honest with people in my comments which sometimes gets me in trouble if that person doesn't like what i have to say. But anyway the second pair is nice and they seem to fit you quite well, but I do prefer your other glasses on you more. Your really a very attractive young woman so you should want your glasses to be as attractive as possible on you. The second pair does seem to have more of a nerdy look about them. Your eyes do have more of a viewing area in them because the lenses are larger which might be an advantage when doing computer work. But for daily wear I prefer the look of the first pair more. The last pair you got is also a very nice semi-rimless framed pair. I really like them as well. About as much as the first pair. I'm assuming since you just ordered three pairs of glasses and each being over $100.00 you must have recently had your eyes examined and maybe got an increase in prescription which is why you ordered three pairs nearly at the same time. By the way do you mind me asking what your prescription is. I'm asking because I'm wondering if your prescription is enough to justify getting the thinnest lens option for you glasses. Having been an optician I will be able to tell simply by knowing what your prescription is. If you have any questions about Zenni, glasses or your eyesight please feel free to e-mail me at jimboice14@yahoo.com
Hi Jim! Thanks for your comments! My prescription is Right: SPH -6, CYL +3, Axis 85; Left: SPH -7, CYL +2.25, Axis 95 ; NV-ADD +2. I have always thought that it was a pretty complicated prescription and have paid a lot of money in the past. Lately I had been getting glasses from Sam's Club which were ~$300, but have previously paid $700 for glasses from an optician. Thanks so much for watching & it is good to get an expert opinion! :)
@@TishaH Thank you for your reply. Like I said in my comment your prescription is really quite the same as millions of others and not really complicated at all. You do have a strong prescription so the numbers are somewhat higher than most prescriptions. Sam's Club and Costco are both good sources for getting your glasses from if you prefer getting your glasses locally. It's really terrible to have to pay even $300.00 for a pair of glasses., let alone $700.00. For many people, like yourself, glasses are a necessity and not an option. Buying an expensive necklace is an option and not necessary. So i don't have any issue with a jeweler selling that necklace for hundreds of dollars. But I saw cases in the store I worked at where I know patients were going without other things in order to pay for their glasses. I never want anyone to not be able to eat properly in order to pay for their glasses. So I'm always looking to help people and encouraging them to give the on-line glasses sites a chance. Some are better than others but most are really quite good. I even try and advise those that I wouldn't do business with. I can tell you that in my honest opinion Zenni is one of the best out their. I have been ordering glasses from Zenni for my own family members for several years now. Once again if you have any questions about your eyesight or glasses please feel free to e-mail me at jimboice14@yahoo.com
Hi Kathy! Yeah, I was pretty surprised by how cheap (and good!) these glasses were. I usually buy my glasses from Sam's Club and still end up paying over $300. Worth a try! Thanks for watching! :)
