I was there, it was about as beautiful a summers day as you can get for a nice Saturday game in Toronto! I even got the victory Vlad bobble head!
Great game overall. TOR definitely needed this win to stop the bleeding. CLE is headed in the right direction no doubt. Congrats on the win TOR 👍.

Jays end the losing skid and picked up a much needed win.. This Game was PIVOTAL for the Jays because of where they are in the Wildcard standings... A couple of solo Dingers was enough to get the job done - because Toronto's pitching was dialed in today... Romano got the final 4 outs and grabbed save number 26 on the season... Will see what tomorrow brings in the rubber match...

Man this Guardians team is scary, give it a year or two and if they can keep these prospects they’ll be some strong contenders. Hard fought win, White was a wonderful addition to our team, hope to see more of him! Great game can’t wait for the next one!

This second haft of the season is SCARY in terms of exciting, teams coming up from know-where, this is all good for the league.
@@jamesrbaylis6363 Seatle, Clevland and even Baltimore are good young teams on the rise. They trade off veterans for good prospects who will help down the road.
He was basically the centerpiece we got back from the Mets in the Lindor trade. He, Amed Rosario, and a couple other minor leaguers are who we got. Good trade for both sides

@@red3here he's a baseball analyst, not a fairweather fan. You have to be realistic and not fall for the smoke and mirrors the front office wants to give you. This team is just as good as the Orioles and they're just a mirage.

Loving all the respect I’m seeing from you Blue Jay fans. I look at these comment sections every night and it’s never this respectful. You guys are good eggs and you have a great team as well. Really just a good coach and some consistent pitching from being World Series winners in my opinion. Looking forward to all of our battles in the future!

Was Saturday an all-blue matchup between the Cleveland Guardians and the Toronto Blue Jays?
Cleveland Guardians just doesn't sound right.. I'm going back and watching *Major League* just so I can get my head straight.. *Wild Thing, You Make my Butt Sting* -- :)~ 🤣😂
The Cleveland aces need to internalize that their stuff is ripe for the picking when they throw it up in the strike zone...Bieber and McKenzie especially. They just need to keep it low with sliders, curves and changes...if so, they are unhittable!! Triston lost this game with two mistakes in the upper strike zone today. Certainly forgivable if the offense would've scored more runs but hey, you can't win every game!

Darn, Guardians P Triston McKenzie was pitching good early on then, threw two bad pitches plus, Cleveland hardly gave McKenzie any run support.

How come sometimes the highlight packages are so good and other times they are very bad. Clearly some differing talent levels in the MLB's editing department
That is a very common comment. Doesn't matter what teams.
The Yankees demonstrated for years how NOT to build a team, giving away their young players over and over again for veterans with the idea that they would get winning teams, now the Padres are falling into the same trap, the Rays and Oakland just don't have the money to complete the dream and because of that are often cited as examples of the idea not working, it's actually a very delicate balance between veterans, young players, opportunity, money and luck that few GMs achieve because it requires a long-term commitment, the Marlins come to mind.

Guardians have arguably best closer, balanced lineup pitching leads division but no1 talks about them
Lineup isn’t that scary. Relies heavily on slap hitting singles. Ramirez is the only real power threat. Naylor to a point but he’s got a lot of swing and miss. They do have very consistent SP and a nailz closer tho.

if the jays miss the playoffs, which I believe they may, Atkins needs to be fired next as he didnt do enough to improve a contending team compared to other competing teams.
