The announcers for this game were great. For being Royals announcers, these guys called the game without bias and even got excited when Kirk hit the HR in the 8th.

Hudler's the only Royals announcer. Jason Benetti is the WhiteSox's announcer (but is pxp for Peacock games) while Plesac is an MLBN analyst.
They were even mentioned by the Blue Jays announcers on how great they are.
I completely agree with you. I also disagree with you, even as the home announcers. They are still expected to see the game with a unbiased mindset.

Congrats on getting win #50 on the season. This is a good and they are playing in the best division in the MLB by far. WC race is going to be very interesting in the 2nd half of the season. Congrats on the win TOR 👍.

I really don't understand all these people that keep saying "congrats to Toronto for beating a AAA team". Do they not know that bad teams beat good teams in the MLB all the time?
I hear you and a win is a win in the majors, but the Jays made it way harder that expected and came too close to losing the series. Jays had to play hero ball in the 10th to win yesterday and today they were gifted the tying runs in comic fashion due to a little league error by Witt letting the ball go through his legs and again came very close to losing against essentially a jury-rigged quad A team.
Royals held their role quite well.

Could have been 71 wins... but hey the pitching needs to find its footing. Kirk on pace for 20-25 home runs. Getting that Pudge Rodriguez style and maybe some others who used to hit for bases and not as much Homer's.

Thank God. Shout out to KC youngins for putting up a spirited series, Jays now 4-1 in the Schneider era and get a much needed (and deserved) break.
As a jays fan, we get spoiled with the buttery voices of Dan Shulman or Buck Martinez commentating the games. I must say this Kansas City crew is pretty good too.

This was actually the Peacock broadcast, they were broadcasting it nationally. Jason Benetti (who usually calls White Sox games), Dan Plesac, and Rex Hudler (for the Royals) were making the call.

Was July 17 an all-blue matchup between the Kansas City Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays?
The Royals deserve to lose EVERY game for having so many unvaccinated players on their team.

They’ve done that three times this season already. It’s something the Jays have clearly been working on. It’s fantastic because those kinds of outs are rare and really kill the other team’s spirit. I believe two of the three were inning ending plays, too.
royals star player bobby witt jr. kinda messed up twice in a row, yesterday he wasn't unable to field the ball and we walked off, now today he wasn't able to again and we tied the game.
He's a top prospect, not a star player. Maybe you can consider him a star rookie. Our pros who have been in the game much longer have had errors to cost us games. Think back to the Detroit series last season that would have given us the win we need to us to get in the playoffs if it wasn't for Semiens 9th inning error.

Congrats to Pratto on his first MLB homer! It hurt my hand.
Wish we could’ve at least split the series, but I still have to say that I’m really proud of all our young guys for really stepping up when the veterans including our “leader” Whit Merrifield wouldn’t. They all had their moments and did the best with that they could. Once we trade Merrifield, Benintendi, and Taylor, Matheny needs to let the kids play. Go Royals!

Gotta tip my (Jays) hat to y'all. Y'all prevented a sweep, and y'all had a chance to either win the series or at least make it a tie. A shame about Merrifield and others not coming to Canada for the most avoidable reason, but these Royals made it competitive.
Who knows, in the future, maybe one day the Royals will again break my heart like they did back in 2015? We'll see....
I must say the Royals commentators are the best.

It's actually only 1 KC color commentator. I had to look it up because they sounded like they were meat riding them all day. Still kinda dumb imo they get a KC guy but can't get 1 Blue jays commentator.

You add jose ramirez and send off cavan, kirk and prospects and in return you get your everyday second basemen and with santiago doing well he could lock in as our dh and be a utility infielder. Give bo a dh day. They gotta make moves now ! Either for stud relievers and or closers or hitters who can HIT, OR BOTH! But ramirez was rumored here and under contract so he could still be traded for the package

Two catchers have had the nickname "Pudge". Ivan Rodriguez and before him, Carlton Fisk. No reason there can't be third, considering the first two are retired.

Doesn't matter Jays will still lose in the AL Wild Card round regardless of who they play. Jays vs Rays = Rays win in 3. Jays vs Mariners = Mariners in 3 or Jays vs Twins = Twins in 3. Even if the Jays make the playoffs, they like the Leafs will lose in round 1 anyways.

It was the right move. Although he had to bear the burden, he really was not helping the team with his decisions. Stagnant batting line up during lows in offence and repeatedly bringing in relief pitchers who were consistently blowing games. Seems Schneider is not afraid to change things up which is good.
Charlie was still there for the first of those 6.

1.It's the mlb, the Yankees almost got swept by the reds a few days ago.
2. The royals players have no pressure, they're not expected to win, just go out and have fun and play. All the pressure is on the Jays. They won 3-4, they did their job. Good for the young guys on KC making it good baseball.
