Nice overview - appreciate you checking it out and putting this together, even if you started showing people how to hack the build! Our updates will overwrite most changes people make, so it's better to ask us for new features than to try and make them yourself 🙂Online updates and our easy networking configuration are the two key features we've worked very hard on and very pleased with how well they are working.
Lol, I hope you knew what you were getting into when you sent this to me. 😆 gotta show people ALL the things they can do with their products 😜. But 100% agree for folks to utilize requests and updates thru you guys and I LOVE that you figured out how to push online updates thru this build. That's truly NEXT LEVEL commitment and service to your product.
Can't wait to see more info on this PC build. In Bee's video, the full-screen gameplay shows a 16:9 aspect ratio, but his picture-in-picture shows the cabinet's 4:5 aspect ratio. So I'm guessing any older (arcade, etc) games will look normal on the 4:5 but stretched out on a modern 16:9 & any modern games will look fine on a current 16:9 screen but smooshed horizontally on the 4:5 RR/Outrun cabinets. I'm debating modding my RR for the RR build or just getting your sit-down Racing cabinet which will take a 32" modern TV. Would there be any options for older 4:5 games to have a bezel on modern 16:9 screens?
I'm a bit of a BuyStuffArcades fanboy at this point. I've given them so much money and my life is better for it lol. Looking forward to providing them with much more in the future! Thanks B for covering this, you are the best!
I'm a huge Buy Stuff fan. I have the android box upgrades in my OutRun and my Star Wars, and they are linked. I also have their Retro Shooter Mini Pedestal, and they told me that they are working on a PC upgrade for the Retro Shooter, so I am anxiously awaiting that. The Buy Stuff guys are doing amazing work, and it is because of them that I have the home arcade of my dreams.
Ordered mine last week, looking forward to it! I've enjoyed their previous Android box. I'm also thinking about how to modify the cabinet/riser so the pedals can be inside it so I can sit more comfortably.
Yes, I think his capture card was a bit low on the frame rates - we have nice high frame rates on most all the games. A few start to tax the mini PCs a bit, but we do a lot of optimizing and get a great performance bang for the buck.
Once the F&F version is done, that might be an option actually if we use the F&F encoder board - need to think about that. Might require some jigsaw work on the control deck to fit, however.
I have a small problem with my auto on power bar from buystuff. When I put on my arcade no green plug on the bar goes on. Can you tell me with a photo or help me I may have disconnected a wire
To be honest I wish I went this route , I bought a computer supposedly plug and play computer big box kit from a known custom arcade company . First he took almost a year to get me my order and truthfully sent me a trash dump files of games . Once I connected to my out run cabinet I had nothing but trouble with games working . In the end he hid to hid games because bye couldn’t get them to work and I couldn’t use the shifter correctly because he basically jimmy rigged it to kind of work . I can only play Manuel mode driving and. Many games I just had to not play be use they never worked correctly . Just go with this option it’s cheaper and way more dependable
Appreciate that. It is a ton of work to customize controls for all these games and make them all work and run as best as possible. It's really only feasible if you REALLY love to do it yourself or if you're doing it for a whole bunch of people like we are.
i use those power strips in my custom builds and my modded a1up pinball, you buy them for $1.25 at dollar tree lol, even my t2 has this inside so everything powers off with the pcb
Great video, as always, Bee. Is it me, or am I noticing a good amount of delay from when you turn the wheel to when the vehicles actually turn? It may not matter too much with slower racing games, but some of those fast racing games will be difficult to control.
@@BuyStuffArcades That is a good point. I was looking at the picture-in-picture on the upper right of the screen where his camera is behind the cab to the left a bit. The cabinet monitor and wheel are in the same shot. When he turns the wheel, there looked like a little delay from when the cars onscreen would turn. Yes, possibly just youtube playing tricks on our eyes. Just wanted to bring it up for discussion.
They will have a separate racing PC listing for Fast and Furious cab coming soon as there's different configurations using the 4 way Shifter. However, installation and games list will be the same and can be networked to these cabs as well
Great job, Bee! I'm looking forward to the Outrun video. I want to see what YOU can do to take this to the next level. I saw the wheels turning in your head. Lol
Buy stuff. How many games on your PC build will be taking advantage of the fast and furious four-way shifter I have two of those now and an alu. and I have to decide if I wanna link both of the fast and furious or return one fast and furious back to Walmart and get the ALU pc wheel mod with the ridge racer shifter and link the alu to my fast and furious Also if I get the mod for the alu with the 24 inch wide screen then how many games do you have that are true wide screen that will play with no bars on my alu Thx
Kongs, I have the Buy Stuff Arcades Outrun Android mod and this looks like a great upgrade, however... Like you said, this isn't as plug and play, and right now, it's a bit more than I want to dive into since I'm loving the android build. But... I am interested in upgrading down the line, so my question is... I really want to play some of these higher spec games until I am ready to upgrade my Outrun cabinet, so would the Pro PC be something to buy to hook to a monitor and play these games using an XBox360 controller? It just looks like a good game system on its own. Would there be a bunch of configuring to do something like that, or do you think it would be pretty easy to use outside of a cabinet setup. Let me know :) vgv
Technically, the encoder does register as an Xbox controller so there is a possibility it would work on a TV and just use a controller. Pro PC just gives u extra games, but either PC could potentially work this way. But I would let the Buy Stuff guys answer if they can
Nice overview 🐝 I will most likely grab this and possibly upgrade the monitor … Do you see the need for the top deck if I’m only gonna do the racing build ?
hey Delo! The top deck will just give you easier access for volume control and a few extra buttons for some console racing games. All games will allow you to drive and gas/brake, but the extra buttons may help with views or some other options. I prefer playing arcade racing games only anyways, so if you don't mind missing a few buttons for console racing, you should be ok.
@@BuyStuffArcades great point! I didn't get to testing all the games, so I honestly don't know what I'm missing without those LB/RB buttons. Can you share an example of what having those buttons on the top deck will do in game?
Considering these are arcade machines, it’s really disappointing that the games are 99% console games. That’s my biggest complaint with the original game box, mostly console games that don’t run well. Surprised that they didn’t rectify this.
I do agree with this sentiment, but there are still a lot of arcade titles now that teknoparrot is here with model 3 and model 2. Plenty of good arcade racing titles which is what I usually play anyways
@ When there are arcade versions of games, I don't want to play the console version. That's my point. Are there 132 arcade games on the previous game box? There's not. Most of the good racing games are console ports that run poorly. I don't want to play the N64 version of Cruis'n World with poor performance. It's just not fun. Even Ridge Racer, the game that these cabinets were made for, is the PS1 version. It's not nearly as good as the arcade version.
@@retroreplay1980 We actually had 60 Arcade games on the Gaming Box, but we're not talking about that - you claimed we we only had 1% Arcade games on our PC Build and we indeed have over 130, including MAME Cruzin' and RR. I'll gladly pay the $500 to BuyStuff to have this be basically plug and play. I have no problem doing light modding with encoder boards and other things as long as there are good tutorials.

Batman looked really good! Pretty cool upgrade
My Batman says there is no ROM. Other than that, I love this upgrade. So fun!
I just ordered mine , good timing on this video 👍
nice! enjoy man
I have been very curious about this. I have done all of their upgrades for the Outrun thus far.
I will probably upgrade to this also. Thanks, Bee.👊
nice Jester! it's definitely an improvement and the games list expansion is impressive for the mini pc without a dedicated GPU!
Great vid - lots of details 👊 So many ways to play Outun! Music rocks! Happy New Year!
Thank you!
Did you try out their lightgun USB stick option with it? It's the best lightgun config I've played.

How time to do basic mod ?
How do you network them together? LAN?
Our pre-configured router makes it a snap to LAN over 100 games.
can't wait to get mine any release date foer people that pre-order the pro version
Pros are starting to ship - will take a bit before we are all caught up. But it will make it all the way up there to the great white north!
I was wondering if you guys would make an encoder for full-size driving cabinets so we could hook up your gaming box or pc to our full-size cabinets.
Something we are wanting to look at.
