- How's my dear RUclips community ? I hope you're doing great !! 💜 Today I bring you a new synthwave video of your favorite retro-style video game that I'm sure you'll like a lot 🤗
The truth is that Hotline Miami has a phenomenal soundtrack, and with this being one of my favorite songs in the game, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a cover. I hope you like my version, since I feel like I've been doing very intense synthwave covers and I would like to go back to a more relaxing and nostalgic style, that's the reason why it has a slower tempo and many more instruments that sound different than the original 🥺 Anyway, without further ado, I present to you my synthwave-style cover of "Voyager" by Jasper Byrne 💜

another great job bro, your synthwave covers are perfect as always, I would like to praise you for a very long time, but there are a couple of questions that I hope you will answer, the first is it difficult to compose such synthwave covers? How did you get to know synthwave? And have you played hotline Miami? If so, what is your favorite character?
Awww thank you so so much for your words !! 💜🤧 I'm very happy that you like my synthwave covers and now I'm going to answer your questions:
1.- It's a bit difficult, it's a 50/50 process between redoing the song I chose and adding synthwave style arrangements.
2.- Personally, I learned just by listening to synthwave songs, then I downloaded my synthesizers and experimented with them until I knew how to use them and recreate the retro sound.
3.- Unfortunately I haven't been able to play it, but my favorite character is Biker 😁🏍
Sorry if I’m late for the party. Too much stuff I was focused on and didn’t have time to reply. I’ve listened to your recent covers and was excited to see a Hotline Miami cover again. It’s been a while! It was pretty good and was bopping my head a bit. Loved the artwork you did as well. This one feels more mellow, like something you can hear anywhere, most preferably during night drives. I dig it😁👍. Great job on your recent covers and this one as well, they sound good!

Жил парень, был полон сил,
За брата на войне с страной советов, он русской мафии,
Сполна за время отомстить успел...
Взял биту, маску, нейлоновую куртку,
так называемый жакет,
Запрыгнул в тачку, и уехал,
Куда-то в неоновый рассвет.
Туда, где ретровейв, тускнел,
Где он искал злодеяниям предел,
не знал тогда, жакетик наш,
Как быстро потускнеет мир,
а он пойдет под судейный карандаш
Шли дни, недели, месяцы и годы,
Дубинка верно багровела,
Как багровело его сердце,
От осознания сего, что все это без смысла и всяко здравого предела,
Ведь под конец, когда был он уж под стражей оказался,
К нему понятие пришло своеобразно,
Что нет справедливости на свете, и есть только возмездие одно, спасавшее невинных душ и посылая в ад ублюдков, стоявших на тропах сказочных путей,
где мрачно багровело души,
Как верх, дубинка, и жакет...
Ну вот прошли те годы, а парень уж, присел на нары, и прикуря сигару, сумный,
вспомнил суд неугомонный,
Где сказ он вел обыкновенный, что гробил нелюдей - зверей:
"Не маски делают зверей, а лишь и только их поступки!
Наркотики, насилие, убийства, деньги - чужда мне,
я дружбой дорожил своей! И я бы ни за что и не поверил, что мир как рыба - гнить начинает с головы!
но вот пришел тот день,
когда был я затаскан по зданиям суда,
и как улики, перед всеми, светились ярко на панели,
под светом светло-желтых ламп, мой верх, моя дубинка, мой жакет!
Маска не давала силы,
она лишь скрывала от врага, тот гнев, те мускулы под ней, которые сводило мне от боли, гнева, увидав которые бы враг - просто бросился бежать!"
Судья лишь брякнул что-то на библейском, ткнул пальцем он на клетку лестно,
сказав что доводы Ричарда не верны,
И скоро парень попадет в тюрьму.
Итог каков? Все было четно, бессмысленно и бедно, ужасно, гадко - не изящно,
но все случилось, как и предсказал цыпленок:
Каждый путь каков бы кто не выбрав, путь держат в сторону одну: кто по его стопам пойдя попробовал удачу, надев звериный атрибут - отхватил лишь сдачу,
Кто наркотики как хлопья ел - в страну сказок захотел, да только путь туда был невозможен, но вредна была зараза,
Но осознание уж не придет к нему попозже, кто в фильме откровенно выебнулся, кто в подворотне, кто в клубе - все одно,
как и сказал несчастный Ричард:
"побагровели души, люди, пропал из жизни всякий светлый цвет, словно как мои улики на суде - мой верх, моя дубинка, мой жакет...
какая же имба
Interesting. I am not saying this as a criticism or anything so please don’t take this the wrong way, but personally this feels slightly different from your other works, to me at least. This strikes me as more traditional synthwave, while your previous works had the common theme of either moody undertones or straight up melancholic musical themes, something which I personally can’t see in this. Now, that’s never a bad thing, for instance, let’s take a look at the 1960’s rock band “the beach boys” as an example: their best works were made because they wanted to make something new, something different even if what they already made was what made them famous and messing with the formula had the potential to hurt their fame. Anyway, I love synthwave no matter the style, so I have no issue with it, just something I noticed. You know, this got me wondering, how come there isn’t more “biker” space-faring sci-fi. Most biker stories are evolutions on the cowboy stereotype: lone rider in the wild type stuff. And while there certainly is Wild West sci-fi, biker sci-fi is much more rare. Akira is sci-fi, but it isn’t space exploration type. Really, the closest thing I have seen to what I described would be Cowboy Bebop, more specifically those one man car-type ships, but it doesn’t really fit the bill either, does it?
As always, it is a pleasure to read your comments.💜 and no problem, I understand your point, the truth is that I did my first videos inspired by traditional synthwave, although I know that everyone likes my style, I wanted to return to the true essence of synthwave with this cover, additionally, the original song is more danceable and happy, so it was a challenge for me 😅 Thank you so much for your comment, 'cause this gives me an idea of what I can or cannot do with my covers, but I'm glad to know that you liked it 🥰
