Egil (the guitarist) is one guy who saw Angelina from when she was still little up to now that she's already a young lady. He's always there to accompany Angelina when she does covers. He's like already a family to her. Angelina has a very high standard when it comes to her sound and Egil knows Angelina's music very well. A slight change in Angelina's movement and Egil knows what to do or adjust. I would have love Egil to be the one playing for Angelina in AGTC.☺️
The chemistry between Egil Clausen and Angelina is awesome, shown in so many videos. You see it here too, Egil is in his own world, and the ending of this video is just hilarious. Another great rendition, and another awesome reaction. Thanks, Mace!
Everyone says she's laughing at the guitarist's head bobbing at the end, but my interpretation is this: She expects the last line she sings to be the end of the song, but the guitarist keeps playing, so she decides to jump in with another repetition of "I am titanium". But by the time she starts, she realizes it's too late. So she's laughing because they didn't coordinate the end of the song correctly. (But maybe knowing what he said to her [which I don't] would help to know why she's laughing.)
He says: "Jeg sitter her og rocker jeg." Meaning: "I am sitting here rockin`.." So I go for the head bob, guessing she hasn`t seen that to this extend before.
Hi Mace thanks for your nice reaction, I believe this is truly an incredible interpretation of Angelina, so different from the original and at the same time so self-sufficient, I love her. Pay close attention to the coronavirus, I live in Italy and in recent weeks it has become devastating, do not take it sufficiently, as they are doing in the USA, it's really dangerous for its very easy transmission :(
Knowing what Angelina can do, I'm actually not fully satisfied with this cover, even though she did a great job and guitar was amazing. Sia did a slow version with studio piano a few years back, which is far more suitable to Angelina's style. Angelina would have pulled a stunning rendition in the slow version with her signature touch as we've seen in Bohemian Rhapsody. She does sound better than Sia in this cover though, kudos to her beautiful voice.
