Dude in Peru we actually have a dish called "Lomo a lo pobre" which is meat with fried banana (a special kind though, less sweet) and a fried egg. And some burger joints serve an "a lo pobre" burger which is pretty much what you made. I personally fuck with it HEAVILY.

One time I took a miso spoon from this pho restaurant and now I use it as the designated spoon to scoop my dog’s wet food
i think of those spoons as like broth/soup spoons instead of specifically for miso soup so every comment mentioning “miso spoons” made me picture like, the little strainer basket on a handle that you would put miso paste paste in when you mix it into the water and was very confused as to how he could possibly be using it as an all purpose kitchen utensil lol

I can't remember what it's called, but my best friend is Cuban and she makes this dish that is ground beef, rice(preferably white) and chopped up banana. It's simple and AMAZING

I'm cuban and the ground beef is called picadillo :) banana is a common side dish. I know it sounds strange but you've got to try chopping a banana into thick vegetable soup right before eating. It's so good! It reminds me of cold days in my childhood :,)
