  • In this episode of How They Love Mary, Fr. Edward Looney speaks with two sisters from the Ava, MO Foundation of the Benedictine Sisters of Mary, Queen of Apostles, whose motherhouse is in Gower, MO. The traditional Benedictine sisters are growing exponentially and are forming new convents and breaking ground on new monasteries. Their new children's book, Brides of Christ, published by Sophia Institute Press will introduce people to their vowed cloistered and contemplative life.

    🕊IF THEY WERE UP ON GOD’S WAY OF THINKING,WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH STATUES ?

    • @jkm1200
      @jkm1200 Год назад

      Catholics do not pray to statues. They are physical tools, images to keep people directed on Christ one way or another. Tools have always been used in old and new testament. Like Moses and the bronze statue, Paul's handkerchief Act's 19. S far as Incorruptible bodies, Enoch and Elijah did not even die!!let alone have incorrupt bodies, Lazarus was raised after 4 days of being dead. Which goes to tell you it's not up to us but God to do as He wills and to whom He wills. Ask God to reveal the truth to you and He will.

      Statues are reminders of what is about God just like pictures of your family reminds you of them.

    BEWARE! There is no single incidence of the incorrupt body of a saint/prophet/patriarch/matriarch/virgin/priest/martyr/apostle/evangelist/disciple etc., throughout the millennia of biblical history, both in the Old and New Testaments. God's way of saying "I'm there" is the restoration of life (raising of the dead) which is found all over the Bible (and still happens today where the true Gospel is preached). God NEVER confers incorruptibility, because it encourages necromancy which is severely condemned and forbidden by the Bible. Incorruptibility is a scheme for promoting Romanism (so-called "Catholicism"), which is a false gospel. Incorruption NEVER happened to a true believer, while the raising of the dead has NEVER occurred among the heedless Roman “Catholics.” It is almost unbelievable the folly that humans can invent once they stop using the Bible to check dogma/liturgy.
    Romanists not only refuse to heed the Holy Spirit in Scripture, but also reject the early Church fathers!
    St. Athanasius, Patriarch (Pope) of Alexandria (and the foremost defender of the doctrine of the Holy Trinity), writing in the 360s says this of Anthony the Great (the first Christian monk), believed to have died in 356 in his one hundred and sixth year:
    “The brethren were trying to persuade Anthony to stay with them until he died, but he refused because of the custom of the Egyptian Christians to venerate the corpses of men of distinction, especially the holy martyrs, wrapping them up in linen, and laying them on low beds [epi skimpodiôn]. In this way, they thought they were honouring the departed. Many a bishop did Anthony ask to preach against this; he cried shame on the laity, saying the practice was illegal and unholy, for the bodies of the patriarchs and prophets remain within their tombs to this day; and even the body of the Lord was placed in a sepulchre and a stone set in place to conceal it until he rose again three days later. In these words St. Anthony demonstrated the perversity of not putting away the bodies of the deceased after death, no matter how holy the corpses might be, for what could be greater or more holy than the body of the Lord? So, many who heard finally concealed [their deceased] beneath the ground; and they gave thanks to the Lord for having been so well instructed.”
    All through his life, St. Athanasius fought against the preservation and veneration of relics, which he declared to be distasteful, unchristian, and even dangerous to health.
    Commenting on the example of St. Anthony, St. Jerome writing ca 390, stated that when St. Hilary visited the site of Antony’s death shortly after he died, “the elder also asked to be shown the place of Antony’s tomb, whereupon they took him aside, claiming that the reason for concealing its whereabouts was Antony’s directive; this was to ensure that Pergamius, an extremely wealthy person in those parts, should not remove the body of the saint to his villa and construct a martyrion.
    What Romanists are practicing is not Christianity but a perversion of the Catholic faith.

      @@juliat5989 Dear Julia, I need all the prayers in the world. Thank you! God uses even "wrong" prayers.
      However, permit me to explain why this unwanted truth-telling is so important. Everyone suffers when the true Catholic faith is perverted. How? The necromancy of Rome led to trafficking, racketeering, and black marketing of the "relics" of "saints". The revulsion against such practices turned Europe against genuine Christianity. Because Christians are the light of the world, the consequences of an anti-Christian Europe are dire for the entire world. Do you understand? Peace!
