Working on an Alien/Star Wars stop motion, so I dug this guy out. I like the look and I'm glad I picked it up many moons ago. NECA has a reboot of this line in a larger scale, but so far, I only found the Rhino Alien and added him to the collection. Wouldn't mind getting the larger scale Scorpion alien!
Because it's based on one of the many varied animalistic Aliens that were created to appear in the unproduced animated series Operation Aliens. When production for the cartoon fell through, the figures were simply released under the film licence. This is also why most of the Space marines differed in appearance from their movie counter-parts, they were also all re-designed for the TV show.
I loved these toys as a kid. I had a queen, scorpion, gorilla, Ripley, hicks, drake and atek. this line was actually made for a cartoon series that failed to launch.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the most accurate toy to the aliens in the second movie. Nothing comes close, not even busts. This is why I am surprised that all reviews I have seen if this toy are just like "meh". It looks exactly like the suits they wore for the movie!
@@FrozenVibraniumProductions McFarlane is far from accurate on Aliens. Neca got it pretty well, however, look at the ones in the movie, they still look a tiny bit more like this than they do NECA.
I remember I hated going to the dentist as a kid (Duh). so as an incentive one particular time,I remember my grandmother bought me this after a particular painful trip
Apone: "...or they'd had to give me more than a Bio-Arm." Wait...a Bio-Arm? Like a Biological Arm? Kenner Apone was supposed to be a re-imagined version of Sgt. Apone from ALIENS that somehow survived the events of ALIENS, here he is supposed to have a CYBER-Arm. Or was Kenner Apone an Android that was fitted with BIOLOGICAL Components? Bruh, 90s comics really had an issue with Tech and Science Lingo. I always had a cringed laugh at the comics when I collected the figures, and in a way it is cool to relive this with the NECA versions.
When Neca finally does get around to updating this guy I hope they, well, make him resemble a scorpion more. Pincers, beefed up stinger, mandibles, and maybe some arachnid legs sticking out of his back. Also albino & black variants would be lovely. :)
I had this, and it was my favorite for recreating scenes from the movie. sad thing was I found out my grandmas neighbor's kid had the figure too, we played together and learned the hard way the scorpion alien doesn't mix will with others of the same figure. And I didnt learn this till I got home and it was too late to go figure out what parts werent the corret ones for mine and his. so my Scorpion Alien would never exploit when i hit the button because the pices were jammed to tight.

Kenner made the best toys in the 90s. JP, Alien/Predator, Batman Forever. Loved them.
My favorite from the Kenner toy line. He was practically a Warrior with a few small differences from the classic Warrior.
Seeing toys like these make me sad that hasbro bought Kenner. Kenner actually had variety, not 10 different Spider-Man's that had a missle launcher
this was quite possibly the best thing ever as kid
It's funny, I had most of this line as a kid but I didn't know it was from a movie until I was in middle school

What about the Alien from the Predator Two-Pack?

Excellent observation on how today's gimmick buttons on toys are way too obvious.

I hope to get my hands on these scorpion xenomorph through eBay as it will go well for my Alien, Predator, G.I. Joe crossover display.
Update: I have just recently ordered 3 scorpion aliens in a figure lot from mecari 7-31-2022
One question, how tall is it? I wanna know, I got some figures that would go nicely with it
@@V1ncenz010 I think they are around 5 inches tall because they taller than the 3.75 G.I. Joe figures.
....Older and playing with your toys LOL! reminded me of Spaceballs Dark Helmet
Aww yeah loved this line! Thanks for the review.
This was my favorite Alien 25 years ago or so.
Nice going to get crp hicks from this series :) cant wait to review it

I did it was awesome!
My cousin actually gave me this, but when we moved the tail broke off. So I use it as a blown apart alien to pose my predators with
I wonder why the cartoon about the chest busting, face raping, nightmare fuel that was Aliens never got off the ground? It seems perfect for children.
I hope Neca Toys makes a redo of this.
make more reviews. I have some reviews too: atax, alien queen, and the fliying alien queen from my childhood
The scorpion would probobly be my best
I only have Atax, Flying Queen and Queen Alien. I'm looking for Mantis and King Alien
I also have atax, stalker, and spiked tail pred
NECA IS MAKING A SCORPION ALIEN
can you please do a review on the rhino alien toy
They should've made the inside bits green instead.
Hi Spot, will you be bringing back the "meet and greet" videos you used to make?
Just curious.
Sorting Alien is a facesucer

Did u know exploding bj had the same gimmick as t1000 and scorpion alien.
do batman beyonds and south park toys
And it's called Scorpion because..?
holsson85
Poison tipped tail

Personally I think it looks to much like the warrior.
