MOVING IS REALLY A TASK TO DO.....INDEED A TIRING ONE,,,AND THAN UNPACKING AND SETUP....MAY TAKE UPTO 2-3 MONTHS...BUT BEST PART WHEN YOU MOVE TO YOUR OWN HOUSE ....THIS PAIN TURNS INTO HAPPYNESS....

Our moving coat was close to $2000. So in my opinion it was much cheaper than buying everything new again 🙂

Congratulations to both of you. But thinking about the price of your house and the moving cost you paid to Alberta. I think if you had moved to some suburb like Kitchener, Milton etc. in Ontario only you could have saved a lot there. Prices of townhomes are coming down now and becoming affordable, but you get more job opportunities and better weather here. International connectivity is also good. Compared to 500k$ new townhome in Calgary, it would have been fine to purchase 650k$ older townhome while living in Ontario would have been a better choice.
