Thanks for the insight into the Negative press that Tesla has to deal with on daily basis. Unfortunately there will be those who post videos of failures and threaten to sue Tesla due to operator error. It takes owners like you to set the record straight. Thank you!
Absolutely! I think the investigation is warranted and there should be safeguards in place. But when I see media claiming that Tesla is unclear about autopilot’s capabilities (despite paragraph warnings you have to accept before using autopilot and FSD features), I have to speak up. Always good to see your comments!
Great video!. I noticed that you had to take over for the sharp turn. Have you tried driving on a highway overpass with a sharp turn? My AP was set at 80mph and the the overpass had a sign that said 55mph before the sharp turn. My AP did not slow down, which scared the heck out of me and I had to take over. Have you had this situation before?
Yes I have. If the speed limit sign is not a traditional gray one the car will not recognize and adjust the speed. It does not know to adjust for the yellow speed limit warning signs that are usually before sharp curves. This is something that the FSD beta is actually pretty good at. Standard AP has not quite caught up yet.
