My mom got me a keyboard for my birthday a few months back and I honestly I haven't given it the time it deserves. I appreciate this video as it helps me with some tips I can apply straight from the jump! I'm looking forward to watching your tutorial videos 😁
Everyone needs to repeat this list from time to time to avoid mistakes 🙈. Especially the passage ... finally played correctly, huhu!!! ... I have to repeat it a few more times🙈. I was very happy to hear this summary from you with your contagious good mood. I feel like torturing the keys again. I wish you a super nice weekend ❣
This is Golden information! I am excited get back to the piano as a beginner. Your method is truly unique; I had no idea that i was chained to every one of these bad habits. Lol, you should have seen me attacking Chopin's Minute Waltz. Lots of Pedal. and just go fast. and get it done. And of course, one must play both hands right from the start. What a relief. Now I can relax and have some fun.😎 Thanks. Martha (ottomewful)
Some great advice Thomas especially the power of sleep. I am a programmer by trade and if I can't solve a problem, sleep or even a break from something works wonders and would work for anything that requires a lot of brain activity. Thankyou !
Tolles Video.
Great video, some really useful tips there. But I find that when I personally try to learn each hand separate, it's a recipe for disaster. For me, it makes it so much harder to put them together later. All the songs that I learned both hands from the start, I have done so much faster and can play those pieces far more confidently. I just start REALLY slow gradually and build it up. Every time i separate the hands it really messes me up and I have to spend hours/days to rewire my brain again to put them together, so for me it's worse. I'm also a drummer and maybe its that, with drums you never just learn 1 hand or just the foot pedal for example, you play it all together to force your brain to learn to coordination between the hands and feet. This is just me so each to their own, we all learn differently but just thought this was worth mentioning as I don't feel like the same approach works for everyone.
Starting at 39 it took me 8 years of playing Hanon in sixty exercises on and off just to condition fingers and hands to play/move in a pianistic manner. But eventually it payed off. Today I can reach for the right note without a struggle most of the time. Definitely not gifted but hard work pays off.
Thank you for the Video. Could you do a tutorial for the Neon Genesis Evangelion intro? I would love to learn it. It's called "A Cruel Angels Thesis" I think.
Thanks for tips, but the thumbnail was such a bait. It seems to be implying that you're going to talk about hand posture, so I thought I might better sit on my piano for this... Yeah, guess I can put the cover back on it now. Haha. It's ok though, I had a good laugh. I apreciate your content. ❤
Such helpful tips for me who often got some bad habits when practising the piano. Thank you very much for sharing this, coach!

I agree at 1. I just practice and two day later I notice my hands learned the movement.
