Living where I do I never get to go miniature shopping . There doesn't seem to be much interest here so I have to make my own things I have learnt so much from you. I really enjoyed seeing all the lovely things you got thank you.
That’s an amazing haul. I think the person who made the butcher block was attempting to replicate the wear that a heavily used butcher block would receive after numerous years of use. If you’ve ever seen a really old butcher block in an antique store, you’ll notice deep wear spots. This person was just a little aggressive with the aging. 😂 I love the tilt top table and the one with the cabriole legs! They are gorgeous. Tilt top tables are actually older than the Victorian period bc in many stately homes furniture was pushed against the wall when not in use and they were often used as game tables, so you are correct! Card games were very popular at one time. They would also have been used as tea tables too. You have the best luck when searching out minis. I’m so glad you share your find with us. ❤
I knew there was something I forgot !! The pieces you had laid out with the wheels I'm pretty sure is a baby buggy or pram, for UK friends. Super adorable!!
The cabinet with the hutch, that has drawers that aren't real drawers...those flat pull out parts are cutting boards or just general extensions for prep space (not fake drawers). If the printed flower papers have a poly- backing, they may be water transfers to use as decorative decals on accessories.
I thought flower decals as well. Especially when she started to show the white cabinet that was hand painted. As it looked like there was flower like decals on it as well!!
Hi, I love the first cabinet A LOT!! The metal leaves are fern leaves, you can paint them, bend them, ... make them into plants... I would use the little cameo as luxury soaps. The paper flowers, are they sliding decal? If not, you could use them as a wall paper boarder, or cut them apart and use them as little posters ? The boat is meant to have only one paddle, because it's like the Venetian boat paddles, you paddle from the rear of the boat, I think, due to the form of the paddle, but don't quote me on this... Beautiful hand paint job on the cabinet from 2001. I love the mahogany table actually! Nice Haul!!
Yes, I could see the flowers as some sort of wallpaper border, or even wallpaper itself, in a small enough space. Making them into paintings seems good too. Or maybe as appliqués on otherwise plain furniture? They are lovely!
What a great haul. The concave surface on the butcher block table is for baking/kneading dough I believe, that is what I have used it for anyway. Wood is usually warm so all you have to do is form the dough, cover it and let is raise. You did good with all your goodies. Have a great day
Many have said the tilt top table was for tea and card games and that's correct. It was also used as a decorative way to cover the fireplace when not in use. I'm pretty sure it was a kit, House of Miniatures I think🤔. The chairs with armrests are called 'Captains chairs and sat at opposite ends of the table. The butchers block is supposed to have a slightly convave surface but this one is a bit much. The surface shape was to accommodate the shape of meat cleavers and hatchets. It also helped with "fluid drainage". So many awesome pieces in this lot!! ❤
@@queencityminis as with most things fact is always more interesting than fiction🤷♀️ I thought the same thing when I learned it years ago. I grew up on and around farms my entire childhood and into my early adult years, we also hunted for winter food stores so macabre was sort of overlooked out of necessity, I would guess. The strange things we bring along throughout our lives 🤔
I love your hall videos! I really e😮njoy seeing what other artists create. I'd love to see you make a couple of the kits you got, I always really like the way you customise the items
The metal ferns(?) shown at 4:19 are made by photo-etching on sheets of brass or steel, using a photochemical process. In modeling, photo-etched parts are most commonly encountered as aftermarket parts for advanced-level scale model kits. But they show up everywhere if you look. BTW, nice haul!
Joann Fabrics has tiny wood dowels that are smaller than toothpicks. Nice haul! I want to see that puppy get flocked! Wait, that doesn't sound right...
I recognise the table at 1:15. I have made it myself. It was from a construction kit you have to assemble yourself. It was from Mini Mundus from the nineties. I painted it mahogany look.
Man! You find the cutest miniatures!! I have a dining table that seats 8. You're right the armed chairs do go at the heads of the table. My mom has one of those pieces of furniture you said was from the 80's. She left all the wood plain except for the back panel. She painted it white. It looks so much better that way. It sort of looks like 2 separate shelves now. Idk if I'd have thought of that. Idk if I'm even explaining it right. It breaks it up some, and it's so cute! But you don't need my ideas. You do excellent all by yourself!
4:21 I found this product on scale link fretcetera, a UK company. It’s exactly what you think; foliage. I did some reading and it looks like maybe people who do architectural modelling like metal foliage because it will stay in place? PS the lengths I will go to solve a mystery when I should be cleaning my apartment are really something.
Badassed haul woman Wow! Esp the 1st sage green hutch (So woulda paid $49 for that), the tilt top (Top notch - Oooh) & doghouse. U always find killer good deals! I did scarf a pk of $17 real marble floor tile today for $7. But was soo tired of my numerous failed attempts 2 make realistic outta foam core board😂. TY 4 sharing!
Great haul. I really love the first cabinet and the fold down table. Furniture used to be not only bulky, but oh so heavy. Thanks for sharing, and always love to watch you put together kits or make your own. Have a great week
What a great haul! I'm not sure what those mini flower prints are for either but you could possibly cut some to use in a picture frame / as hanging artwork? The tiny woven basket was too cute.
The two colored lanterns look like they’d hang at the doorway of a tavern a couple hundred years ago. Could they have been part of the barrel project? (Btw you have more barrels than anyone could ever need 😅. )
You're funny. Those are pop cans at the end..hehe. Where do you find these hauls? A lot of expensive things. Curious what you paid? Can't wait to see some vids on you transforming some of the stuff❤❤

I'm so glad 😊 check out Little Gretchen's Workshop as well

Definitely decals. I recognize the brand.
I thought flower decals as well.

Ohhh, that makes sense about the cutting board.
Oh, decals! Duh

Maybe I'll make some fern plants! It would be weird to paint metal to look like leaves.

That makes so much sense! It's like a bowl

I know those chairs with the arm rests as carver chairs. I'm from England so maybe it's a UK thing? 🤔
That's so interesting and kind of gross about the concave butcher block. Thanks for the info!
@@MimmiesMinis-KellyPenny I thought it looked like a long used seat with a butt print worn in it lol
@@Jean-vl2nf well that's one way to look at it! 😂😂 And really, you're not wrong LOL 🤣

The handpainted cabinet is really lovely❤
It's perfect!

The concave top of the butcher block is from use. So many years of cutting something in the middle of it creates a concave shape
That's so cool!
You have some gorgeous miniature treasures there, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧

There are so beautiful pieces in this haul it is hard to choose what I like most, lol.

I'm w/ u Tubegood - we need a good flocking tutorial. How to flock solid pieces & how to flock like suede🙂
LOL! 😂
😄
Nice pieces. I really like the 1st item you showed. Thank you for this video. Have a nice day.
WOW..fabulous haul. Beautiful pieces..❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 🤗

Thanks for the ideas! I always appreciate that.
The brass leaf looking things are actually Boston Fern pieces. You could cut them and create an entire fern plant! FYI
Do you know where to get those by any chance? :)
Thank you 😊 that's cool
Lovely haul, I particularly like the first piece, it was so beautifully made!
Thank you so much!
Ps. Really cool that u give credit to the original artist/date. TY
My pleasure!

Some of those items are absolutely beautiful!! You are up in the ranks of the perfect pieces as well! Thank you for showing these!🥰
Very nice pieces!!
Thank you!
Love half scale doll houses

That's a great deal! At least you scored some marble flooring and don't need to make it.
6:33 I think you have a babies pram there 🎉😊😊
Exactly what I was going to say! Looks like a baby buggy. :)
🎉I have a 1/24 house waiting in a queue lol 😊
What a great haul❤

Thanks for watching!
Great assortment. I think the bench/pew is a “settle” for kitchen or keeping room.
So cool!
So great!
Lot of lovely stuff there 😀. I look forward to seeing you do your magic with the pieces 😊
Thank you 😊
So many wonderful things!
Thank you 😊
Nice finds!
All beautiful pieces.
Thank you!
This is amazing. And the metal pieces are ferns.
Thank you 😊
❤❤❤
The side table (3rd item) with the drawer is a House of Miniatures kit I believe. I have one that I made that’s exactly like it.
That's so cool! I thought I recognized the hardware.
That fencing would be a good grave yard fence
That would be cool!
Maybe the butcher block is shaped that way so that meat juices do not run out onto the floor?
You got so many nice things!
Thank you 😊
Awesome haul!!❤❤❤
Thank you! 🤗
Amazing haul ❤ did I hear a kitty in the background
Yes 😁 I got tired of repeating myself so I left his meow in
Great channel! I am new to diorama building and I need all the tips I can get. You got a new subscriber! :)

I could find a use for all of those barrels lol
I really like the little kits to build, but hard to find in Michigan.
Ebay!
🎉
6.27 i think it's a stroller old wan😅
Ur probably right. I was thinking "goat cart", but then I think they only had two wheels...
Oh interesting!
I think that the piece the furniture that looks like a stool is a butcher's log
Oh, cool! Thank you 😊
Great haul! Did you get these from ebay? I'd love to see your refurbishing of some of these items.
I did! I got these so long ago, I didn't record the refurbishing.
I'm curious about where you find these lots? Do you go to auctions or do ebay or...?
I got this one on ebay
You're funny. Those are pop cans at the end..hehe. Where do you find these hauls? A lot of expensive things. Curious what you paid? Can't wait to see some vids on you transforming some of the stuff❤❤
I have no clue. I got this a while ago on ebay.
The wagon looks like a buggy or a baby carriage.
Could be!
That is a stool not a butcher block
Could be …
It's a butcher block.
The kit with the wheels with no directions could be a wagon that held those smaller barrels
Thank you 😊
