I had to put my old dog to sleep two days ago. Russel was just what I needed to cheer me up. I laughed so hard, I know how you felt as I have been “helped “ many times by my critters. Thank you Russel!
The Ginger twins Russell and Cheddar, they always end up being the stars of the show 😊 I love all the videos, I'm in Australia and planting out all my Spring and Summer crops so its always motivating seeing all your veg and flower crops do so well because then I order the varieties I can get my hands on here and try my hand at them. Thanks for always being inspiring and making me get my butt into gear 😊
Russell cracks me up! Also, I ordered two ornaments you featured on your “Decorating the Garden Center” video, and had great customer service over the phone as well! Thanks for all you do and show us!
I loved hearing how to use the soil heat cable a d the super hoops! It’s awesome that you do all this experimentation! Makes us braver in our own gardens!😃
I really like the idea of putting the tulips in the empty raised beds for cutting! I imagine it's going to look glorious! Then there's Russell! He loves you! How do you not just love on him all the time?! He's a mess!!!😁😻😽
Tip: for those using Tulips in arrangements. If you take your knife and cut a slit about 1/4 inch on the stem right under the bloom, it will stop the Tulip from continuing to grow and hold the shape of your arrangement. Yes, they still grow when cut !
Russell had me chuckling out loud! He thought that heat cable was the most irresistible toy that you were playing with him!! Hilarious! Thanks so much for sharing your kitties with us!
You are tenacious! All that effort to put in heat cable 3 times. I just love watching your channel! Russel while interrupting your goals is sooo fun to watch!
oh that Russell.. he had me laughing out loud... such a great helper, eh?? reminds me of changing the sheets with the cat's help.. takes twice as long!! hope your efforts pay off, the greens in that other bed are gorgeous! cannot wait to see your tulips in the spring... should be a glorious show! what a productive day out there... thanks for the video!!
I didn't think I could love Russel any more than I already did. What? Dirt? String? Sunshine? And my favorite person? He was in high clover. Seeing that rascally ginger cat makes my heart happy for both Laura and Russel.
Russell is so funny! We have a few cats so can relate! I have been following you since before your move to this house. I am from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and wanted to take the time to THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge, your beautiful flower beds and your every day work in the garden! I have been suffering from chronic pain since 2012 and learned a lot about gardening from you. You got me interested and it has been therapeutic for me. My son has redone our landscape and I have planted my new flowerbeds. They are beautiful and it’s because of everything you shared with us! A neighbour was walking on the street and she stopped and said “Oh my, it’s so beautiful, so much work” she didn’t know I heard her! Lol The world is more beautiful because of people like you that share their passion and knowledge! Thank you and may God bless your family and protect you.
A plumber once told me "the heat is in the handle of the shovel." It sure is! Every time I start digging, I get hot!😂🤣 Love the lettuce and spinach planting!
@@vgil1278 it was really cold outside (close to freezing) and I had been digging with a shovel and had to take my coat off because I got too warm. It was a joke that I got too warm because of the heat inside the shovel handle. I was touching the handle, but I really got too warm because I was digging. Does that make sense?😊

That Russel!😂 I enjoy his antics! Can’t hardly wait to see the show of tulips in your garden and pots next spring!! It will be something to behold!🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

I think it is great idea to utilize all seasons for planting vegetable seeds with the proper equipment as indicated in your video. The tulips will be beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day!
Russell stoleeeeee my heart today 🥰 This is my first time writing comments because of Russell!!!! I wish I wasn’t allergic to cats 😞😞😞 you make me smile Russell every time 😘
Thank you Russell for the comedy relief we all need this week! Brought back memories of trying to read a newspaper with my cat baby. Impossible! Can't wait to see the beautiful tulip show in Spring!
Got my coffee, got my Garden Answer video, and thanks to Russell, I got my morning laugh! Thank you Laura for all you do, your ideas and the inspiration you give me to make my home more beautiful and loved. May God richly bless your day!
Russell's just like my dog, always in the mix! Your videos always bring me such joy and inspiration. Thank you so very much as I'm greateful to have found your channel. 400 tulip bulbs ordered, half planted so far.
Oh Russell! He was determined to be more interesting than the heat cable. He reminds me of my cat Blinky. When I was teaching virtually, she would walk all over my laptop. Even now, if I sit at my desk, she runs in and plops right in the middle of it. Cats! They're so smart.
The BEST video! Thanks, Laura. I took a chance and planter bulbs in my empty garden beds and thought....is this a good idea? What would Laura do? I was sooo happy to see you do this in your garden. Are you going to dig them up after they bloom? I'm hoping you'll follow up with a before and after video. Gosh, this just made my day. 🌷🌻💗🌷🌻💗

SO HAPPY to see you this morning. Tulips are going to be amazing there. Hoops are so great. You accomplish so much. Go Laura.💞
I really like the idea of using the tulips in raised beds for cutting, my puppy love to dig up every single bulb I put in the ground and bring it back to me. So putting them in the veggie garden that’s fenced in is clearly what I’ll need to do! Thanks for the idea!!!❤️
robbie lovett- poor little thing. I suppose he got yelled at(I would have). Mine used to dig all bulbs up till I saw him with his head in the bonemeal bag and figured out he was after the bonemeal. I stopped using that!
The BEST part of this whole video was watching Russell! Makes me miss my garden cat who passed away a few years ago. CatieCat was equally as entertaining!

I love the idea of the heat coil to plant late in season. Hope it works as well as Russell does. Now I'm going to be waiting all winter to see those bulbs come up and bloom. We have something that eats every tulip bulb that I put in ground. I planted in hay bales once and they ate those too. Whatever it is digs trenches but doesn't eat the daffodils. We have moles but I've been told that they only eat worms and grubs. The "Grabnoids" also ate the roots off my weeping willow, lady banks rose, and fig tree over winter.
