thanks so much for your video . i've just bought the same camera , boxed with all its paper work still in side . the only thing just like your the light seals need replacing and after watching the other video on replacing them i might have a go . but i need to track down some of that strip foam first .
Hi, both good cameras and basically the same apart from the cosmetics, condition and price matter, get the best condition one for the best price and I feel sure you'll be happy with either, the original does have that "first autofocus camera" cachet though....be interested in hearing about your exploits!
Hi, it's a point and shoot, when the shutter is pressed the autofocus will set the focus, it was a very early system and works well with normal subjects, I don't remember if the focus can be set manually, composition via the viewfinder, it is a very basic camera, hope this helps, please don't hesitate to come back to me if still having issues 🙂
Hi, nice little cameras, all the small Konica models, don't pay too much, the POP series have a strong following, check it's in working condition as not cost effective to repair....
Hi, my depth of field calculator states that a 38mm lens, at f2.8, focussed at 1.1 meter will render everything sharp between 1.04 and 1.17 meters Even stopping down to f22 it only goes from 0.7 to 2.2 meters, Have you checked the battery, I use Wien cell air zinc hearing aid type as it has the same voltage (1.35v) as the original but now banned mercury battery? Hope this helps, you can always come back to me.....
@@HarveyG. sounds like the camera is stuck at the minimum focus distance, you should be able to select by turning the lens to one of 4 options, shown by pictograms, if this is stuck then some gentle persuasion is needed, failing this some disassembly and repair will be required....
@@thephotographersbag then i got pretty fvck up I've never noticed it untill finishing my 3rd roll of film. it means most of the images are out of focus 🙃

Hi, you can find the foams for sale on eBay normally, clean off the old gunk with lighter fluid, great cameras, great find....
I’m a little confused. The video says “you have to measure the distance”, but isn’t it an autofocus camera? 😅
Ah actual question. Does it have a timer ? . Nowhere on google seems to say ??
Alas, no it does not have a self timer but you can get a self timer that screws into the cable release socket...
Im trying to decide between this and the c35-a2 . The difference mostly seems cosmetic from what I can see so i dunno which to choose ??

My ASA setting on this camera is stuck, I cant get the dial near the lens to work, any advice?
Hi, sorry to hear that, is it a recent problem or is the camera new to you?
@@thephotographersbag It's new to me. I was able to move the dial but it required a lot of pressure and some tools too. Just a pain to get it to move
Hi, are you pushing the dial in first, it does lock in the selected position, push in to release....
So how do you focus and recompose this?

will the Konica efj be worth it to buy? Thanks.

Is it also the same with olympus c-af film camera?? Having a hard time using it 😭😭
Hi, I don't think they share the same system, what problems/issues are you having?
how to know if you used 36 exposures already?
is the les removable?
Hi, sorry, it is fixed, could use supplementary close up lenses via the filter ring I suppose....
how about the focus indicator stuck at 1.1m does it mean all photos focus will be only for 1.1m?

@@HarveyG. oh dear, I hope that you get used to what is called "zone focussing", and get better results going forward....
Do you have photo samples taken by this camera?
Hi, no I don't have samples, I am so ashamed of my artistic ability, check out Flickr for some great examples of what the camera is capable of...
