    I've been watching your channel for a few years now and can usually find something wrong with a boat. Wrong colors, wrong layout, compromised engine room, etc. For the first time, I don't have anything I'd change. Of course I don't have $6.6M, but this is, in my opinion, 100% perfect. Thanks so much to you and Princess for showing us around an absolutely gorgeous, perfect yacht!

    It is truly amazing how, as I’ve been learning and admiring from Nick’s superb reviews, 6.6 million dollars can be spent in MANY different ways, configurations, sizes… Obviously this boat is for the discerning customer with top top quality and essential, and money being no object. Yet as much as I admire this beautiful boat, I continue to imagine OTHER potential options that kind of money could obtain…

      Yes. Not all are Western owned now though, a bit like Lotus and Volvo. I hope the R&D and manufacturing doesn't get outsourced abroad for any of them, as that's when things tend to go wrong, and the heritage is lost as there is no knowledge passed down over time. Jaguar Land Rover has done well under foreign ownership though, but their engineers and manufacturing remain in the UK, good talent and close to the factories, helps a lot with ironing out production problems, effective communication and oversight of the production process, and when they outsource to the Far East for price due to a line in a spreadsheet it all goes t*ts up from an engineering point of view, unless closely monitored.

    • @mohammednadeemanwar2213
      @mohammednadeemanwar2213 11 месяцев назад

      @@timk3939 still boat yards and sheds where boats are still made. So not so sure if skills are lost. Fairline are quite inland so boats trucked out to Lincolnshire coast. But definitely made from hull to final fit out in. Britain.

    • @timk3939
      @timk3939 11 месяцев назад

      Yes indeed. You lose the flow of information when things are outsourced too far away. When you bump into someone and have a 5 minute chat in the corridor the legacy is preserved, when you're emailing someone or just sending them a spreadsheet you lose the richness of a decent face to face conversation.
      For srtictly technical things like manufacturing it can be okay, but my experience of outsourcing to China is that the companies set up to make money, buy some expensive kit, and their engineers have no troubleshooting skills or depth of knowledge about the process in question.
      Their lack of ingenuity or critical thinking was astounding to me. As an engineer all I wanted to do was solve problems but it was excrutiating having to do all of the thinking.
      And it all comes home to roost. I know outsourcing to China can be successful, but for low volume manufacturing it is not worth the effort in my opinion, as you need so many people to lay down specifications, scrutinise and monitor the end result, and communication is an added pressure.@@mohammednadeemanwar2213

Simple layout without too much extra stuff, yet roomy, and with just a single, accentuating step between the two upstair zones; sleeps two families; side door access for easy owner operation; a dream boat!

    There is a lot that can be said about the s72. I’ve been a huge fan of the s class since the s65 was launched in 2015 later replaced by updated s66, the best looking boat in decades in its category imo. But the s72 is just a masterpiece in every way! The hard top isn’t necessary and it looks so much better without it. I had a pleasure to be on this boat for a day at my local dealer in Sweden, and wow! What a boat and with the 1800hp man v12s it’s crazy how this boat accelerates when you go full throttle. Then the design and attention to detail in everything from the helm position to the cabins is just perfect! Princess at its very best! This and the Sunseeker predator 75 are om Top of my list

    I love this boat. Everything is so well designed and crafted, and curvylicious. The finishes tread the perfect fine line between being too dull and and too blingy. So classy. It looks like a timeless luxury hotel. Everything is so well proportioned too, enough space to feel spacious everywhere, but not so much you feel lost, it retains a cosy feel throughout. It must be a great allrounder for those with large enough wallets, just about small enough to get in most places and large enough to be able to travel in comfort in almost all conditions. I hope you get a chance to have a blast in Plymouth Sound at 40 knots at some point.
    This is a bit like a Pershing 7x in terms of style, speed and quality, with a nice amount of extra space and losing some top speed. I think 40 knots top end should be fine for almost everyone, unless you're a bond villain.
    Only criticisms are the fading on the flybridge table in the gap between the leaves, on an almost brand new boat, surely some UV protectant oil of some kind could be applied, and the squeaky wet bar and fridge hinges up on the flybridge. I've heard this on Princesses for years on the RUclips walkarounds. Surely they can get someone to lubricate the hinges on them to get rid of that annoying noise. Minor issues in the grand scheme of things though.
    Would go for a bimini over the hard top, as the hardtop has no opening section, and the boat looks ace without a hardtop.
    I recently saw a RUclips short of a tender being lifted onto a megayacht by crane, it must have been a 250 + foot yacht. The tender was a Princess Y72, the sister of this one. Nice little boat to pop to the shops in for some people! And I guess for the final leg you deploy the tender of the tender to get you to shore.
    I think you did the 'twist again' joke before, I can't remember when, maybe last summer!

    Great video and tour! Looks like a quality build, with nice access to systems. The blue labels/tags on cabling/piping must be a great maintenance helper. Did anyone catch where the WC (toilet) is in the crew cabin? We saw the shower and sink... Under the sink?

    beautiful boat, thanks for the excellent tour as usual Nick. One thing struck me, the first toilet we saw in the tour - very near the towel rail. Larger guys sitting there get a burn from it, I have similar and I have to watch it real careful 😄

    Good morning Nick! Not a fan of the hardtop roof on the S class, I would choose a Fairline Phantom 65 all day over this and save the extra $2mil for fuel! Princess makes a great boat, but you definitely pay for it.

    I notice a lack of speakers thrughout... it would be cool to lie in the various sunbeds and controll the music/sounds via a mobile app...
    Im guessing it can be installed, as an option

    Great boat and even better review, as usual, thanks! I wonder if there is any difference between "hanging locker" and "wardrobe", or are the terms synonyms?

    • @AQUAHOLIC
      @AQUAHOLIC  11 месяцев назад +3

      I suppose technically a wardrobe is a standalone piece of furniture whereas a hanging locker is built in.
