    Princess interiors always seem so warm and inviting. They don’t seem pretentious or overly exaggerated, just a nice place to be with quality wood working and comfortable looking fabrics. Subtle and beautiful as always.

    A Princess yacht is about the beauty of design. And the quality that is built in - not added on. Plus the practicality of the layout. The easy interaction of boat and boater. Safety that imparts security. Lest we forget the FUN that is the soul of a Princess yacht. This F65, is all that - a tried and true Princess Yacht. Thanks to Princess for building this magnificent boat. And to Nick for a FUN way to end the week.

    They do make the best interiors! We loved the F62 and they have really knocked it out of the park with the new model! It would be nice to see other options (office, lounge) instead of a 4th cabin if you don’t need it.

    Glad to hear your voice has recovered after Cannes Nick. Some clever design has gone into this to get so much accommodation and accessibility on board, and that Kodak 126 Instamatic camera in the owners cabin! - the first real camera I owned back in 1971!

    I dunno. It's definitely nice and wood finish is great, but i'm not seeing 4,2 million here. I've seen bigger/better yachts for less.
    Also i would have changed the fourth small cabin into a small seating area.
    Thanks again Nick. Always the best.

    We had a very good look around this actual boat at the Boat Show today. Also, hands down, the Princess team were the friendliest, most helpful bunch you could hope for. We made it clear we were enthusiasts rather than serious purchasers, and they could not have been more welcoming. In start contrast with Sunseeker sadly.

      @@matthewfurneaux3797 - same vibe from Sunseeker. I just don’t bother, but the guy on the Galeón 500 deserves credit. His enthusiasm for the boat seemed genuine.
      As for the F65? My thought was that here was a boat which must be close to perfect for an owner/operator. The only suggestion I’d make is tiny - cup holders on that wee “laptop table”. Was also very impressed with the F55.

      @@matthewfurneaux3797 - To my surprise, I find that the video rather shrinks the boat. The master in particular felt much bigger than it looks on the video, or so it seems to me. I was interested to know if you felt the same? Or if it was just me not remembering clearly.

    Yes! Yes! Yes! This is a competitor to the SS Manhattan 68, but on that boat you have to choose between 3 cabin layout or 4 cabins with a compromised saloon with 2nd staircase. Princess has solved this problem by making cabin 4 a generous bunk cabin, perfect for kids. So you get the big nice saloon an 4 cabins. Ideal.

    Princess never disappoints. Love the new foredeck and flybridge designs. I always love the crew quarters on this size of boat, you get it all, storage, day head, and cabin space. Engine room access is a bit tight, especially given the size of the hatch. Didn't see a Seakeeper, or room for 1. For that kind of money it would absolutely be mandatory for me. Love the boat, great tour, as always, Nick.

    • @markshutt1476
      @markshutt1476 Год назад +1

      @UClmk8zE5q_fGsScNFjALItw I would think so, to mount to the side would put real stress on the hull. If we think how it works, using centrifugal force to counter roll, it literally pushes the entire boat against the force of the sea movement. Good question, though.

    Another outstanding boat. Excellent quality in every respect; but you know? I really miss the days of good old fashioned sea-going boats. Lots of polished wood and comfortable leather. Of course, those craft were not as efficient as modern boats but I just loved the "look". I guess I'm thankful for the likes of Linnsen and some the British pilot type boats. I know, I'm nostalgic.

      A large number of American and Turkish boatyards have the full-mahogany interiors, and the UK does do them too. Look for MB&Y's review of the Spirit P70. It's ridiculously "nautical" in terms of wood - such a beauty.

    Is there a glitch in the matrix? For the life of me, I couldn't see the hatch coming up from the VIP cabin when looking at the forward deck area. Which, honestly, is perfect. Utility being there, but not seen, is brilliant!
    Also, that trawler style yacht off the bow looks like a great video candidate! :)

  • @respectbossmon
    @respectbossmon Год назад +3

    One of the qualities of earlier Princess yachts I always liked was the designers' use of curves and, er, roundish shapes in the interiors. This new F65 merges that with the contemporary obsession with sharp, clean, angles and straight edges really well. It's everywhere on this boat. And to my eye, it makes it a much more relaxing experience; one that induces smiles over frowns.

  • @petergibbs
    @petergibbs Год назад +16

    One new point about this new Princess 65 design I like is in the fourth cabin they have moved the top bunk inwards around a foot and left a gap so BOTH bunks can see the pothole and direct daylight. That turns a pokey bottom bunk into a bright sunlight area. A simple but huge change for whoever is sleeping there.

    4K Nick, what a great upgrade to your excellent video tours. It does make a big difference and is worth the extra time it takes to edit/upload. As for the Princess I'm not convinced that a 65ft boat needs either four cabins or a flybridge. They seem very busy (and to my eyes at least) to tall and unstable. I know for sure that none of my "tribe" would want that bunks cabin, it's just to small. Other than that I do like the updates over the earlier models and the new superstructure design is definately a winner.
    As always Nick, keep doing what you do please, I for one look forwards to your videos popping up in my feed and I've even been known to cancel appointments to watch. Haha.

    We were there on the Thursday morning, but we had to wait until after 10:00 😞. We looked around many of the fine vessels on show and were very impressed. The F65 was very nice indeed, some changes from the F62 were very nice, as you showed at the start of your video. I do miss the circular or horseshoe seating of the F62 though. I love the little area next to the helm - best I’ve seen (I think?!)
    Love all the matte woodwork and all the curves.
    Was there a grill above the ice maker on the flybridge? Assume it’s an option if not.
    Amazing boat overall - typical Princess

    Nick you are gentlemen! I love your videos. A small remark Nik: In my opinion it's not necessary to open the drawers, dishwasher etc. all the time.

    Lovely boat - typical Princess quality, so nice. The 60-70ft range is getting super crampt with great offerings.

    Hey Nick when I hear Princess I see quality and this yacht has it everywhere you look and touch, the owners cabin is akin to a seven star hotel in Dubai, although I don't do favourites I find myself smiling before I start the video when it's a Princess. Have a great day bud

    Thank you for the great video, Nick. I love this boat. One thing I especially like is an enclosed shower in the crew cabin. So often, all we have is a wet head, which in my opinion,
    is insufficient for the crew.
