This is what happened with the blue windows.
Basically Hasbro uses 2 types of plastics. ABS for the majority of the external parts and a softer material that can handle more tension for the articulation, that way they prevent mayor breakages on the joints. The problem with the second material is that paint doesn't stick to it.
Now, in the way Bee was molded, there's a major piece of that unpaintable material that conects the waist with the torso and also pokes through the front window, so it couldn't be painted blue.
There is a very small chance they try to make a blue windowed Bee in the future, but they would have to rework a good chunk of the figure, and honestly, hasbro are not the type that like to do that extra work
you are right after relooking at be but knowing hasbro they will repaint this figure for another character for sure. thanks for the explanation

18:00 this earthrise prime, 86bee combo will hold me over til we get 86 commander prime in December. So happy it fits in the trailer. And the commander prime trailer, I HOPE is larger.
