I bought a DAW. Then I bought some electrical equipment. Now I need to connect them together. If I bought the electrical gear first I wouldn't of bothered buying a DAW. Real gear is so much better to play with. Still early stage of my electric productions and button pressing lol. Great video , you get my sub
I also absolutely prefer to have a desk full of hardwares respect to become crazy with computers, because for me they are much more intuitive, funny and easy to learn...but in reality there is no one thing better than the other, simply everyone have his tastes and over all his experience with one or the other approach.

Hi....in this session both rhythm machines go into the Octatrack to be able to use the effects. The OT goes straight into my blender. The TB-3 goes into the inputs of the Analog Four to use the effects of the A4. The masterouts from the A4 & Keys also go into the mixer. I record the sum from the mixer with Ableton. regards

gerne...darf ich fragen welchen Mixer du verwendest in den du den ganzen Haufen an hardware fliessen lässt...bin gerade stolzer Besitzer eines rytms geworden hab noch ne tr8 und tb3 ne analog four soll folgen...und bin mir unschlüssig was sich am besten auch für die Bühne dann eignet...bis zu deinem Niveau werde ich zwar noch Jahre brauchen aber toll zu sehen was man da alles rausholen kann
Ich benutze eine Mackie 1202VLZ4, der hat 4 Stereo und 4 Mono (2xStereo) Eingänge....also für 6 Geräte. Dadurch das die meisten Elektron Geräte zusätzliche Inputs haben, spart man sich einen großen Mixer. In meinen Octratrack gehen beide Rhythmusmaschinen und in den Keys + A4 jeweils die TB´s. Ich empfehle am liebsten Elektron, da ich die Arbeitsweise zeitsparend und genial finde. Wenn man erstmal den dreh raus hat, funzt das auch:) Aber jede hat eine andere Arbeitsweise und ich weiß natürlich nicht wie deine ist. Aber wenn du mit dem Rytm klar kommst wäre die Investition eines A4 sinnvoll, denn die Gräte sind nicht zu groß und der Klang ist geil....der AR + A4 klingen auf Party wirklich fett! Ich denke du wirst das schon merken ob das mit dem AR gut läuft....es gibt ja viele gute Tutorials & Inspirationen....alles weitere kommt mit der Zeit. Viel Spaß beim Mucke machen. Beste Grüße
ich hab mich jetzt für nen allen Heath ZED 14 entschieden...denke auch nicht die schlechteste Wahl. A4 kommt dann sobald ich mit dem rytm einigermaßen klar komme. Nach 3 Tagen Tutorials gucken hab ich jetzt mal die Oberfläche des machbaren angekratzt, der Klang ist meiner Meinung nach mit nichts vergleichbar ein riesen Spass...danke für die Tips und evtl hört man dich ja bald mal in diversen Clubs ich wünsch es dir auf alle Fälle

Mit namhaften Herstellern hat man immer eine gute Wahl getroffen....viel Freude mit dem AR, ich weiß mit der Arbeitsweise muss man erstmal ein bisschen warm werden, aber wenn der Knoten erstmal geplatzt ist:) gibt es keine vergleichbare Alternative mehr zu dem Analog Rytm. Das ist, meiner Meinung nach, die ungeschlagene Drummaschine.....klanglich, wie von der Bedienung....und Vielen Dank, vielleicht sieht man sich wirklich irgendwo im Club Live. this track has been playing all morning on the hi fi with the sub woofer CRANKED UP.
One of the nicest tracks I've heard. I don't think i can hear anymore and i think the sub woofer actually moved some hair on my nearly bald head.

If you relate it to the recording, then no. I record the sum from the mixer. When playing live, I use all traces of the Elektron devices. That gives me the greatest possible variability.

nice! i guess you are using the digitakt as the main sampler for rhythms etc and just using the octatrack as a mixer and fx and a secondary sampler ?? im thinking of selling my octa as i just use it as a small mixer and fx that arent super great. its handy and better than the digitakt but its just not as good as a drum machine and sample player as the digitakt is it ? should i sell my octa for a digitakt and some fx pedals instead do you think ? i struggle with it. love all the other elektron boxes. ive got them all too. the analog keys is much more than an a4 with keys isnt it! glad i got the AK instead of the straight A4. great stuff!
The answer is not that simple. If you want to get there faster, the Digitakt is better because it's not as complicated as the OT.
