      Hi ya Geoff, glad to hear that you have put the castle on your bucket list, it's definitely worth a visit, just try to arrive when the kids are at school lol. Also, take a picnic as the cafe was pretty basic.
      Many thanks again and all the very best to you. Tony and Claire.

      Yep, a romantic place for some...and a great place to stock up on Tunnocks for others🤣👍. Like you say, some folks obviously find it a romantic place😍❤️.
      Ah, so your sister is also a fellow 'castle spotter', brilliant, we're not alone then🤣. We do love a castle and they're great for photography📷. Many thanks as always for watching and for your continued support. All the very best, Tony and Claire. 👍💙❤️🚐📷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Good morning my beautiful friends, for some reason I wasn't expecting much from your latest vlog, you know leaving Scotland 😢😢😢 and going home.How wrong I was, the water fall was just perfect, and goes to show they don't have to be the hight of Niagara fall's to be awesome .And some stunning photos of the falls and castle to boot.
    Talking of the castle 🏰 I'm ashamed to say that I've never heard of it, but after seeing it I think it's now one of the best in Scotland, and a must visit,
    Thanks to a couple of English folks for pointing it out 😂.
    I pray I find you both well and safe 🙏.

      A good morning to you also our Northern friends👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙❤️. We're glad that we exceeded your expectations....🤣, although leaving Scotland is never a good feeling. Indeed, a small waterfall can be just as beautiful and impressive as something much larger and to be fair, Niagara would be a right bugger to photograph📷🤣, although the journey there could be interesting👍🚐.
      Yes, Caerlaverock Castle is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit....just visit when the kids are at school lol🤔.
      Yep, you can always count on your English brethren 🤣.
      Take care our good friend and God bless you both. 👍💙❤️🚐📷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🙏

    Evening folks another interesting vlog. The drone footage certainly gives you that extra dimension which helped with this latest waterfall. The castle near Dumfries was very different to your usual castles, architecturally . As for Gretna Green , like you not sure what all the fuss was for. Been there done that comes to mind. Keep them coming ❤❤🚐🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😢

    • @adventurevanfreddie
      @adventurevanfreddie  6 месяцев назад +1

      Good morning Al, thank you as always. Glad you enjoyed the drone footage and like you say, it definitely adds extra dimension to the video of the waterfall.👍📷. Yes, a very unique castle and other than the kids climbing all over it and screaming all the time🤔, it was definitely worth a visit.
      Indeed, Gretna is a very strange place, I don't understand what the attraction is at all, however, it was mobbed with people, so they're obviously doing something right🤔...not for us though; at least we can now say the same as you, "been there, done that".
      Take care our friend and all the very best as always. 👍💙❤️🚐📷

    Afternoon Sarge & Sarnt Major Claire! 😂. Love the Castle. Like you, I'm a history addict though have to say, the screams from the dungeon at 21mins 15secs were really realistic!! 😂😂😂
    Gretna??? Sarge, thought you'd be sharper than that. She's doing a recce! Fleeee....fleeeee

      @adventurevanfreddie  6 месяцев назад +1

      Haha, Sarge....🤣👍. Claire is definitely the higher rank, Officer Commanding household🤣.
      Yep, you can't beat a little history and accompanied by real sound effects really adds to the ambience of the place....it was a great experience....screaming kids are our favourite whilst filming lol🤣👍.
      Haha, as you would have seen from the vid....I didn't hang around there long😎.
      Many thanks as always for your comment, funny as....
      All the best and take care. 👍💙❤️🚐📷

    • @adventurevanfreddie
      @adventurevanfreddie  6 месяцев назад +1

      🤣👍, a very good point indeed, knee pads are a lot cheaper than jeans lol. Claire carries a foam kneeling pad with her, but either forgets it's in her bag or she's deliberately staining her jeans so that she can buy a new pair🤔😂.
      Many thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave the comment. All the very best, Tony and 'a crafty' Claire. 👍💙❤️🚐📷

    Aww...you two old romantics you....heading off to gretna green together! 😁 Bit underwhelming and a bit of a tourist trap really as you alluded to ..but hey, it is what it is. Such a shame you have to leave Scotland, probably the most beautiful place on earth...apart from maybe Ireland....which you two have to visit next. Don't know if you've done the "wild Atlantic way" but if you haven't, it's gotta be done....and even if you have....come back to Ireland....we love you both and the Guinness is to die for. Love you dudes.....here's to the next one! 😎😎😎👍

      Haha, indeed, old romantics we are🤣, that's why we go to these exotic locations 👍🤣. Yes, Scotland is one of the most beautiful places on earth and as as for Ireland, it's very much up there on the bucket list and we'd love to do the Atlantic way💙❤️🇮🇪. Definitely worth saving some pennies for....especially for the Guinness tasting experience that I would be compelled to try🤣👍
      Thank you as always our friend, best wishes and take care. Tony and Claire. 👍💙❤️🇮🇪🚐

    Some very poignant things to ponder over there lovelies . And yes , what will they think of this generation in a thousand years time , what mark did we leave on this earth . We won't be here to find out that's for sure .
    Yes , we two also love the history of where we travel to and in particular the tenth , eleventh and twelfth centuries , Knights templar and all that . Great vlog once again guys , thank you .

      Hi there Ken, hope you're well buddy. Yep, if mankind is still around in 1000 years time.....
      You definitely can't beat looking back at history and the older we get, the more engaging it becomes. Much like you, the High Middle Ages is very interesting...castles, knights and border wars across Europe that shaped the landscapes.
      As always, thank you for watching mate and all the very best.
