    Nice little van. With 4x4 capability that opens up a whole lot more wild camping options. 3.0 litre, is that a four or six cylinder? Good conversion Tony, utilising all available space. 🙂👍

      Thanks buddy for watching. Yes, a very capable van indeed, more capable than most things out there and like you say, it can certainly get to places other vans can't.
      It's a 6 cylinder V6 and sounds lovely.
      Many thanks fir watching. Hope you're well and all the best. 👍😎🚐

    Absolutely brilliant, such a clever design for a small space. The curtain idea is great as our internal screens with suction cups drive me mad! Does Ian get any water spills from the cap on his fresh water container? Mine spills up through the cap where the pump feed goes through. I tend not to fill it right up, but it’s only 10L like Ian’s. Thank you for the review. X

    • @adventurevanfreddie
      @adventurevanfreddie  6 месяцев назад +2

      Hi there, many thanks for your kind compliments. Yep, we had suction cup screens....my patience lasted about 10 minutes with them until they were thrown away lol. The flexible curtain rail is simple to install on any van that has internal roof mounted assistance handles.
      I might have shared this with you for watching before, it's old now but you will see how to install the track:
      ruclips.net/video/6wqh7j9Cehg/видео.htmlsi=sFq1dCyAhJibex7i
      As for water spill, no, I drilled a hole through the cap the same diameter as the pump pipe, then cut a single slit through cap to the hole, then twisted the the cap to get the pipe/electrical wire into the hole. No need to screw the lid down all the way tight, just a little turn as the pipe friction prevents the cap from unscrewing. Additionally, the tank isn't filled to the very top.
      Many thanks as always for watching and for taking the time to leave the comment. All the best. X

      Thanks for that and for sharing the modifications video. I hadn’t seen it, really ingenious use of materials to create Freddie and not a suction cup in sight! X

    I'm probably biased, but great videoTony. You explain it all so much better than me. And to add in just over the 2 years I've had Reggie he is currently on his 4th overseas trip. In Spain at present. Cheers mate a great build.👍

    • @adventurevanfreddie
      @adventurevanfreddie  6 месяцев назад +1

      Indeed mate, you have every right to be biased towards Reggie, he's a great van and to think you were considering a swap. Yep, Scotland to Gibraltar, the Alps, Pyrenees and the Highland mountain ranges, the whole coast of Spain and Portugal, numerous touring in France.....he's not done too bad in 2 years 👍👌🚐

    That’s a great van Ian has there, you made a brilliant job of the build . Being a four wheel drive really turns it into a bit of a beast . Thanks for the look around it and thank Ian for allowing me to be nosey. Best wishes to you , Claire and Ian . 🚐👍

    nice small camper for one. A small toilet would be a must for me and a max fan vent, buy hey ho it's not my van. Didn't realise until the end , you said it's 3 litre, should cruise easily and be reasonably fuel efficient.

    • @adventurevanfreddie
      @adventurevanfreddie  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there, hope you're well. Indeed, a small toilet would certainly make things easier for Ian although he has got rather good at finding public loos first thing in the morning lol....much like ourselves.
      Yes, a max fan would an easy addition for him in the future if he decided on having one.
      Yes, the engine is a beast and although it is a little bit 'juicy', overall it's not too bad. Great little van. Many thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave the comment, it's very much appreciated. All the best.

      There is one near to us and it is jacked up with what I assume is a lift kit ! It’s a crackin bit of kit too.

    Amazing camper van conversion skills Tony. Everything packed so neatly and logically into such a small space. A breeze for an ex fast jet technician though! Did the design evolve as you went along, or did you stick to plan? Did Claire have any input on the design, or was it all to Ian’s wishes and requirements? Looks like this new adventure will be a great watch😄. Drive safe ❤

    • @adventurevanfreddie
      @adventurevanfreddie  6 месяцев назад +1

      Many thanks buddy.
      Yep, not too difficult to build once I worked out headroom/bed space. The rest of the furniture was pretty straightforward also👍😎. Ian was really cool about the build, I had free rein. Claire helped with motivation and cups of tea👍🤣.
      Many thanks again and all the best. 🛠️🔧😎👍🚐
