I've been painting for around a year, I've recently got into palette knife painting, I'm a lil bit addicted! I have half a painting on my easel of a train, been trying to work out how to do the steam. You just showed me how with your clouds, awesoooome! Thanks! Now I can stop procrastinating and get on with finishing 😊

I think Kevin is a master of the knife as well as brushes in his work. Paintings using only the knife, creates a very different visual experience than paintings done with brushes. Lock away your brushes for a time and painting only with the knife to master this “amazingly versatile instrument.”
Kevin gave good advice, spend time learning how to use the knife exclusively in order to broaden your skills.

palette knife is my cup of tea. It makes better texture than I can with a brush. And I like texture better than anything in a painting

para todo hay gustos..pero le comentó las obras con espatula son bastante agradables opticamente hablando,, otro asunto el realizarlas es muchisímo más rapido que con pincel..y lo otro hoy dia la tendencia en el arte es trabajar obras con espatula , los paisajes, bodegones etc..de tendencia realista están pasados de moda.

i liked this, it was good to see what is achiveable with a pallett knife i really liked your resulting paintings, thank you very much for sharing this, your a good demonstrator! you make it seem very simple, ive not tried, these techniques yet, as i dont have much experience, of how to use oils, im a beginner, in water colour painting, which i find easier, but i do see some lovely effects in oil painting, and i would like to do some, as these can be beautiful, do you have other videos on how to paint water scenes in oils?.

Really like your channel. I've lost my mojo since losing my husband 11 years ago and I needed some inspiration to get back into it. So I thought of something new. I used to do watercolours but I needed a total change. This has really inspired me to try it. I'll watch some more before I leap in! Thanks.

Good day Kevin. Hope you are well. just a question on the oil paint do you use mediums with your paint or not. I love abstract painting but if I use only just the oil paint and not mediums wont the paint takes to long to dry or crack over time. I really like to start but have no idea where to start. must you leave the paint to dry before you put another layer on. any other videos that might help will be appreciated
