As a London bus driver myself, I can tell you it is the easiest job I've ever done.
No stress, no aggro from anybody.
Do I check passes? NO
Do I care if anyone doesn't want to pay their fare? BIG FAT NO!!!
Do I take any abuse personally? NO
Do I forget an occurence after 10 mins?
I forget everything that happened after 2 mins.

I'm not personally so sure, listening to my grandma when she talks about some of the drivers she used to have compared to the drivers I get and see around myself now, I feel quite lucky

Public should be respectful to drivers as they simply have the publics lives in their hands. stressing drivers out, and then they have to do a route that involves so much concentration with traffic, stopping for passengers and picking up, making the correct turns and performing the turns correctly. And all this 7-10 hours a day sometimes 8 days in a row.
