  • Hi guys, Rettra90 here and I will be showing you how to make cold porcelain clay.
    Cold Porcelain is very simple and cheap to make.

    * The cooking time depend on what kind of microwave you are using and what kind bowl you are using.
    *This cold porcelain recipe is not mine and also the directions. These are just ones that i found from online.
    Materials Used:
    1. 1 Cup of Corn Starch
    2. 1 Cup of White Glue
    3. 2 Table Spoon of Lemon Juice or Vinegar
    4. 2 Table Spoon of Baby Oil
    5. Microwavable bowl
    6. Mixing utensil
    7. Measuring Cup and Spoon

    if the clay is wrapped tight and sealed in an air tight container or bag, the clay would last a long time. athe clay should lat about 4 to 5 months or longer.

    In Italy nobody cooks it, they just knead it with more cornstarch until it is the right consistency. you don't have that sticky mess

      You could cook it over low heat on the stove.

    Isabel Jerado the lemon juice keeps it from molding because you wouldn't want moldy cold porcelin

    Best tutorial so far, I could really see what you were doing and it allowed me to trouble shoot a bunch of problems I was having from other tutorials. I went through 3 failed batches from other tutorials before I found yours, and it helped so so much!! :D Finally made a half decent batch. Still a few tweaks and errors I made but I at least made progress, and I know where I went wrong (thinking it wasn't supposed to be sticky BEFORE kneading...so I was always adding more corn flour...Big mistake!...Your video allowed me to see it was meant to be sticky then it gets better as you knead!) so I think my next batch will be right :)

      Hi, there! I know an artist she has the secret cold porcelain that can be stored for three months at room temperature without fungee and cracks after fully dried!The charms after dried will be as hard as rock and hold it shape great! if any one want her contact just send me message!

    I used this to make a turtle key chain and a hedgehog. as well as other like cactus they turned out real cute and very durrable. I was surprised I Expected the turtle head and feet to brake off right away but they hadn't they turned out so cool. I love this clay!!!!!

    Fatima Riyadh No, you cannot use flour. Flour will make the dough crack and possibly fall apart. Cornstarch and flour are two totally different things. ^_^

    you can use vinegar but i believe it will give vinegar smell so it is best to use lemon or lime juice

    i think it is best to wrap it in clear wrap before putting in ziploc bag because it will help keep moisture better

    I will try this. Process in a silicone bag (for dough - from Aliexpress). Hands will be clean.

    so, here's a question:
    if I start kneading it with the lotion, and then I realize it needed more microwaving, can I put it back in the microwave for an interval, or 2 of 15 sec each?

    Mine does not crack. it depend on clay consistancy.
    If the charms that are made does not crack, and in great condition, than i think it is good for sale in my opinion.

    When this happened to me for my first batch of cold porcelain, i used to add a little bit of glue to the clay. This seemed to help me.

    I tried this and made it exactly as instructed, but it stayed VERY sticky. I even threw it back into the microwave for 2 more cycles and had to add some more corn starch. I'm at sea level in a dry climate so I'm not sure what I did wrong. :(

      Cornstarch is used for thickening gravy or to make blancmange, sometimes it is called maizena, they also mix a bit into normal flour to make biscuits crisper - look in the flour/food aisles.

    All microwave perform differently. My microwave is an old, low powered piece of junky dunk so i have to microwave a lot and use a lot of intervals. However, if yours is high super dooper powered microwave, you cold use short intervals.
