As a top lane Briar main, my biggest issue is that people do not understand the lane and often come and try to gank and end up inting my lane.

do you say it because of the wave state? i'll be good to know as a jungler
@@BMallow it can be because of wave state, but it can also be because of getting too greedy or trading kills. For example, if you gank and trade kills, now I have to play against a champion that is a free kill up on me. Sure, you are stronger, but unless you and I play very well, that can lose the top lane and possibly the game. Unlike in other lanes, a few CS, lane tempo, or 1 kill is enough to just lose the entire game, and it can be very frustrating when I have worked hard to get a good lane and it all gets ruined because the jungler got a little greedy, especially if my team loses because of it.

I always go top briar when I can, then ban Illaoi. I find Briar's kit to be unexpectedly flexible towards most of the top laners, also punishing adc's who want to kill joy(chase, eat damage, q them, regain lost hp with W, then use flash/ignite to secure the kill). With Briar being in a lane where you get the most exp and gold, you can really punish the junglers who try and take grubs and herald with ult due to their scaling being in relation to bot lane.
My style is to always play aggressive(Forcing a 1v1 during lvl 1) and take advantage of my W, PTA, and ignite- trying to snowball to the point where it's too late for them to build anti heal. I always start by hiding in the middle brush so that I can hopefully get the first strike on them.

I believe Gnar is considered melee in arena only sadly, doesn’t affect summoners rift
I looked more into this and "Gnar, Elise, Nidalee, Jayce, Kayle, and Samira are the only champions to be conditionally considered both Ranged role ranged and Melee role melee."
So, that's EVEN MORE interesting
@@L0ganJGs I may be wrong but I think that’s just meaning literally “ranged mini Gnar and melee mega Gnar”. I think for the purposes of item interactions he is always counted as a ranger champion. But again, could be wrong
@@michaelmacneil124 What he meant by conditionally ranged role ranged and melee role melee, is that item/rune interactions do change with these champs. Grasp doesn't work on mini gnar
*Edit: To clarify, certain champs have things that happen that affect their range, without affecting their range TYPE. So lots of empowered autos for example that increase range. Where as the champs he mentioned fully change range TYPE from melee to range.

My friend’s eyes bleed every time I ult as Briar (miss), I tend to play better when I don’t even ult. I literally got promoted to Diamond instead of losing when I hit my first ult that game at 30 mins

Renekton always gives me a hard time... nothing that a quick Bot visit won't help me fix. Teammates will get sour for that, but it works 😂.
i'm doing full lifesteal/attack speed... kinda sucks against tanks in the beginning, but mid to late game it's effective.
