What a beautiful home! So often, people who can afford it, have homes that are over-sized, contemporary, sterile mansions that have expensive features but lack warmth, character and imagination. Vanessa's home exudes quality with attention to details. She blended old world French, Italian, English and whimsical fairy-tale aspects with vintage 50's Hollywood and modern-day contemporary design seamlessly. She did an amazing job!

This house has a very interesting mysterious vibe. Those hidden gardens which feel so Italian, and the hardwood floors from some chapel in Europe, and the fact that every single detail is intentional and has to have meaning for her is wonderful. Stunning. I love that she names each of the(lesser known) artists and the stories behind each of the pieces. Saw her at a popular secondhand consignment shop in Brooklyn a few years ago, seems like she buys with true purpose and intent.
I like that for the most part, she didn’t brag too much. She had wonderful art pieces that were special to her regardless of who the artist was or their popularity and her furniture was just vintage and personal. She spoke proudly of citrus trees and small collected things of joy rather than high priced & designer name dropping. The house is amazing and romantic and probably one of my favorites in this series.
This is probably one of the nicest and most welcoming celeb homes I’ve ever seen. It’s so warm and inviting. She has great taste and the overall vibe and flow of the space is super calming.
One of the things that makes it so welcoming is that the inside of the home is designed at a family scale --- so the rooms are the size of rooms that a family home would have. This is in great contrast to so many celebrity homes, which are now being designed at hotel or resort scale --- at public gathering scale --- they seem to be designed for large groups. So rooms are huge --- way too big. And if you're there with just a spouse, or spouse and 2 kids --- it's going to be way too big. It will feel alienating. You can see that with many of the homes AD features. Another issue is color scheme. This woman has a generally warm color scheme that is built around the combination of orange and green. If you look at so many of the celebrity homes today they are done in alienating cold and industrial color schemes. Cold blues and browns, with cold grays and white. It's completely alienating. In this home it's the outdoors that is designed for entertaining and having large crowds. But even there the outdoor space is broken up into smaller sub-spaces that again are of family scale --- you would feel comfortable with a small group of family members.

I have never seen more beautiful and cozy home - than this. Love so much everything about this house - the french vibe and how Vanessa decorated it with the respect for the history of this house. The art and the whimsical outdoor areas, the lights, the fruit bearing trees and the plumeria plants - which also are my favorite flowers. I had a Polynesian wedding in Cook Islands and had so many of these flowers around at the wedding. Love the ivy covered walls - as well. Great job Vanessa!
I found myself marveling at the fluidity of her tour, as if all the choices she made came naturally to her, yet one can also see that she has researched the background of the house and its history, and her choices accentuate the features of the original architecture. This house has a very interesting mysterious vibe. Those hidden gardens which feel so Italian, and the hardwood floors from some chapel in Europe, and the fact that every single detail is intentional and has to have meaning for her is wonderful. I'm in love! She seems very cultured when she talks about the furniture she has and what style movement it's from. The house is very sophisticated. Love it!

I don’t think I’ve seen a black bathroom like that, before. When she giggles it makes me giggle 😆 I LOVE that she left the green tile in the powder room. Mid-century tile is seriously underrated. And I love that she added the poster as a reminder of the history of the house. The green space was awesome

I like that for the most part, she didn’t brag too much. She had wonderful art pieces that were special to her regardless of who the artist was or their popularity and her furniture was just vintage and personal. She spoke proudly of citrus trees and small collected things of joy rather than high priced & designer name dropping. The house is amazing and romantic and probably one of my favorites in this series.

One of the things that makes it so welcoming is that the inside of the home is designed at a family scale --- so the rooms are the size of rooms that a family home would have. This is in great contrast to so many celebrity homes, which are now being designed at hotel or resort scale --- at public gathering scale --- they seem to be designed for large groups. So rooms are huge --- way too big. And if you're there with just a spouse, or spouse and 2 kids --- it's going to be way too big. It will feel alienating. You can see that with many of the homes AD features.
Another issue is color scheme. This woman has a generally warm color scheme that is built around the combination of orange and green. If you look at so many of the celebrity homes today they are done in alienating cold and industrial color schemes. Cold blues and browns, with cold grays and white. It's completely alienating.
In this home it's the outdoors that is designed for entertaining and having large crowds. But even there the outdoor space is broken up into smaller sub-spaces that again are of family scale --- you would feel comfortable with a small group of family members.
This house shows like a very undiscovered side of Vanessa. The house is so beautiful and shake. And I love how she didn’t show her closet and showed all the other parts which were meaningful for for her

I have never seen more beautiful and cozy home - than this. Love so much everything about this house - the french vibe and how Vanessa decorated it with the respect for the history of this house. The art and the whimsical outdoor areas, the lights, the fruit bearing trees and the plumeria plants - which also are my favorite flowers. I had a Polynesian wedding in Cook Islands and had so many of these flowers around at the wedding. Love the ivy covered walls - as well. Great job Vanessa!
I found myself marveling at the fluidity of her tour, as if all the choices she made came naturally to her, yet one can also see that she has researched the background of the house and its history, and her choices accentuate the features of the original architecture.
