    I’ve never knew / thought of baking puff pastry first then add in desired ingredients!! I’ve never had this dessert!! Looks delicious!! Like the simple design with pink and white color combination ❤️👍🏻

    My uncle was a baker in The Netherlands and I remember these delicious pastries he always made. At Christmas time he kept up the tradition of making Dutch pastries to the tune of about 700 different PCs oh how delicious they were no one could bake like him. Sadly he passed away just before Christmas last year😢

      I'm sure his pastries were some of the best ever made, it sounds like he was very passionate about baking. I'm sorry for your loss, I hope this recipe brought you fond memories and a smile. Thank you for sharing. ☺️

      @@PYsKitchen thank you. It most certainly did bring back many years of memories. It was so many years that my mother (her brother) and me went to his place as he always told me “ the bake shop is open on the 24th”. I made the mistake many years ago of not going because I don’t like to assume anything so I went to a bakery that year. I tell you I never did that again as he questioned me as to why I didn’t come for pastries. So the tradition carried on. His sister passed less than 3 weeks after he did, shortly after New Years this year. So again thank you for the wonderful Tompouce recipe and the other wonderful Dutch recipes.

    Is this just like vanilla slice? And can this be made gluten free? Thank you from Australia

    • @PYsKitchen
      @PYsKitchen  3 года назад +1

      Yes it is like a vanilla slice ☺️ You can replace the flour with gluten free flour to make it gluten free.

    I'm so making this, it's too easy and yummy not to. I buy these all the time and they are around $12 - $15 for a slice. The pink glaze is really pretty. Great piping job at the end, you can open up your own bakery 😍 Too yummy #tompouce , I love it! 🤤👍

      That is too expensive for a slice! With that money you can make over 10 slices! 😮 It is super easy to make at home.
