Lol down here in florida we start at 7 am on residential lawns and at daylight on commerical customers keep a towel and three clean shirts to change into. We try to be done by 2:00. Great video
johny, I have been eyeing up that EXACT same mower, and was on the fence between it and the 3200. Thanks so much for the comparison between this and the 3200. I didn't hear in the video what engine, but in reading the comments below, I guess you went with the EFI which is the one I am almost set on at this point. I also read that this mower had a "quick disconnect" for the bagger system. I'd like to request more videos showing the ease mounting/removing the bagger, how well you like the bagging capabilities, clogging issues, etc. I was typing my comments as you wrapped up this video and would LOVE to see ongoing videos about this mower as time goes on. Not sure if you remember my story or not, but I HAD an exmark lazer z S series with 52 hours that got stolen 2 years ago. never recovered, and insurance didn't cover the loss. I have continued to make payments on that damn mower that I DONT HAVE, and by next year it will be paid off hopefully so I can finally put that event behind me. Please continue the updates on the Ferris. Here in west texas, its pretty rough mowing, so the suspension on the ferris is what first got my attention. Have a great labor day weekend!
Great machine. I have a 2015 IS2100Z with a EFI Kohler. Best machine I've ever ran. Compared to other machines it seems to float over the ground. Never had even one issue with it.
Nice video Johnny very informative planning on a new and good mower next year your information in these videos will help me go through a full thought process before buying
hey johnny, I Both the same machine 2 weeks ago. The first problem we had so far was the tension spring, But we love the mower, you can cut tall wet grass like nothing.
The best decks in the game are the velocity decks by scag. You can cut in a swamp with it and no clumps with lazer beam precision on the cut. It’s insane but damn sure expensive
Liking the z3x but my dealer is 40 miles north, you don't think that's too far for a Ferris dealer?? Otherwise my choice is exmark/ Scag guy (15min. away) gravely (6 min away) & (Wright 20min.away) East Central Florida here boss. I'm older than 40 and did this chit for a very long time... Lemme tell ya... If it's one thing that I'm deciding on moving to Tenn is the 20wks of 💯 + and 70%+ humidity (hurricanes don't hinder me in that decision either. Great work on the vlog. 🤘🤓
Johnny, im sure the other channels think im Mr. Negative. But my gosh, its crazy all the unintelligent information they put out. I have not seen one video from you that wasnt intelligent, helpful, and thought provoking. You are the the best lawn care channel for information on youtube. Hey, if im going to bash the idiots...i have to praise the good ones to. So good job as usual. keep it up
Always wondered about the suspension on them if it was as good as they claim i had a Cheetah with the suspension seat which was nice but looking to get a new ZT and the deciding is tough with all the different models out there.
I have been doing my research for about a week for a new ZT. The only lawn I will be mowing is my own- 5 acres. But, I am looking for comfort over cut. But, it still has to have a decent cut. So far, Ferris seems to be the best option for comfort, even over Toro MyRide and Exmark. And it has a great cut. I hope to demo the Ferris soon. BTW, I demoed the Cheetah, and it wasn't what I thought it would be- a comfortable ride.
I will be buying a John Deere z955r with tweels or a Ferris 3300. Why don’t professionals recommend John Deere? The Ferris is actually more expensive than the Jd. I would great appreciate any help. Thank you
Been looking at Ferris 2100 and 3200. I'm just a homeowner with a big yard. Which deck gives the best cut? 61 or 72 Kinda like the 3200 by just sitting on it,in the showroom ,my yard is flat a few trees and. A small fenced area....Thanks Frank
I was wondering if you could lead me in the right direction. I am not a pro lawn service. I have a full time job but I do cut 4 large properties every week. All for free ( elderly people). I had a 42" Hustler raptor. I sold it this past week because of the small size and rough ride. Im about 250lbs and Im 42 years old now. I am looking at the Ferris line. My budget is not too crazy due to the fact that i don't make money with my mower. I cut approx 5 to 6 acres a week. I would like to know what you think about the is600, is700 or do I need to step up to the is2100? I only want up to a 52" deck due to storage space. Im in the midwest Southern Illinois Scag are very popular here but very $$$$$ Thanks
Thanks for your time. Keep up the great videos. Yes they are pricey my dealer said he would make me a deal on the 700 with the Kawasaki engine because he had none with the Briggs in stock It would be 6200.00 with an extra set of blades. I have no idea about the 2100 I didn't look at those. The 600 is 5200.00 with a Briggs but its only a 48" cut.
I've got all three Scag Tiger 2 a Gravely 250 Pro Ferris 700 and a ferris 1500 and by far the skag is the meanest toughest machine I've ever seen I love Ferris that I believe the 250 Pro Gravely is the best ride in 52 I've ever operated it's sticks to Hills climbs Hills as well as a Z1 or Z2 Ferris wish you luck thank you
I know your tired of people asking you about the scag but if you would have got the scag cheetah with the bagger would you be happy with it? I thought I just had to ask... there are a lot of use scag fan boys haha
Hey Jonny, How does the ferris ride compare to gravely pro 400 with air ride seat? I gave a terrible back and need the best cutting mower but most importantly the most comfortable n safest for my back. I highly value your opinion and appreciate your thoughts! Thx in advance, Bird! 👍🍻
Great video as always. I was worried about the bagging system fitting in my trailer as well on the new Tiger Cat but it fits pretty nice. I know mowing videos aren't your thing but you should make one just for the hell of it. Just an idea.
+Johnny Mow Yea that's why my videos are sporadic. If I posted videos every single day the entire season like some of these guys I'd be divorced and my kids wouldn't know who I was.
I'm not following what is happening with the 26" tires. A demo would have been useful to see what you mean. Thanks for the review. Appreciate all the info you share and the challenges to doing business right.
beginning of summer I demoed at toro 3000 60" cut and 23.5hp kaw.. was by far the worst mower. the gas filler next was a PITA, took 5 minutes to put 5 gallons of gas in it. mower had 5 hrs on it when I demoed it. I first mowed my personal lawn with it and knew right away it's cut was sub par. plus a 60" feels under powered with 23.5hp. my 36" has 19hp I almost bought a ferris 2100 with the 28hp efi 52" cut. $8200 out the door was what I was gonna get it for.
Do you charge more for bagging? We won't bag but we'll mow more often if customer wants it, try to talk these people into letting you do a more proper fert program, explain to them the hassle it is to you to mow over fertilized lawns.
Your right but they love this guy. I do cut some more often but it throws my schedule up. I wish he would sale!! I've had trouble with vapor lock with the vanguard carb. I need to think on this this winter!!
+Johnny Mow about half the fuel usage of gas, keep filters clean, change the oil and go, never had motor problems the oldest one I ever kept had over 5000 hours on it when it left here and the guy that bought it is still running it, they're a bit cold natured but they don't have to start too many times in the winter
Johnny there is a new kid on the block I think u need to check out called a Spartan ! I am telling you I don't think you will be disappointed ! By the way I got the Ferris 3200 and am in love with it !!!

Gotta have the 3200 around here, need the wide tires for slopes, I love my 3200!

Marauder Mitchelli not sure I’m not a huge fan of deer. Live Ferris
What you think about the Ferris diesel zero turn? Or which diesel zero turn mower is best out there?
Cant wait to see how this mower holds up for you in the long run! Congrats!
Be nice if u demo a kubota 781. I have their z421 and been doing grass that's knee high does pretty well for a kawasaki fs730
Yeah man the dew point kills me. I get asthma real bad when it's up there!
Ferris is a great mower . ILove Mine . I have 700z but wish I had got 2100 z , maybe my next one . Great video my friend. 👍
Live in the west, never heard of Ferris, never even seen one.

So how has it been since you bought it? I’ve leaning towards a Ferris is800 61”
art7art19 I’ve updated since then my man. 😉
What do you think of the Exmark Lazer z in terms of cut quality?
What brand motor / size Motor is on your new ferris? Also what's the size transaxles are on your new ferris. Are you going to sell your snapper pro?
28 efi vanguard so far so good, 4400 hydro gear, and no I will keep the snapper pro

The 700/600 I consider light commercial should be okay for what you are doing. I would go to the 700 bare minimum. Think they are a little pricey
Thanks for your time. Keep up the great videos. I know your tired of people asking you about the scag but if you would have got the scag cheetah with the bagger would you be happy with it? I thought I just had to ask... there are a lot of use scag fan boys haha
I may have been I did like it.

Bassin' With Bird I have a spinal fusion and daily back pain. I demoed a IS2100Z yesterday and it was amazing and will 100% make a difference.

Great video as always. I was worried about the bagging system fitting in my trailer as well on the new Tiger Cat but it fits pretty nice. I know mowing videos aren't your thing but you should make one just for the hell of it. Just an idea.
Lol. I have no time for editing videos. I watched a guy said the other day he had three hours of editing to do. My wife would shoot me. Lol
+Johnny Mow Yea that's why my videos are sporadic. If I posted videos every single day the entire season like some of these guys I'd be divorced and my kids wouldn't know who I was.
+CountrysideLawnNY I see u understand the Married life!!
+Johnny Mow Absolutely. In my world it's God, family, and the rest trickles down from there. RUclips is a hobby, not part of my career.
Do you still have the ferris? I'm liking the scag's
She's a beauty
You ever watch those other guys from P.A. J.L. Landscaping and Landscaper Tyler?
Never heard of them?
Me Ass hole Jk
Heh J.l. just comented.😋
don't watch those guys they just get into accidents all the time =P for a change of pace you should watch me kill my lawn just to re-grow it haha
+Grass Daddy broooooo! lol
So I see you bought the 28hp 61 in. Why didn't you want to buy the 32 hp Johnny. That mower looks great. May need to look into a ferris for only 9200
I'm not following what is happening with the 26" tires. A demo would have been useful to see what you mean. Thanks for the review. Appreciate all the info you share and the challenges to doing business right.
Congratulation for you new mower.
thanks for the update love the vids
beginning of summer I demoed at toro 3000 60" cut and 23.5hp kaw.. was by far the worst mower. the gas filler next was a PITA, took 5 minutes to put 5 gallons of gas in it. mower had 5 hrs on it when I demoed it. I almost bought a ferris 2100 with the 28hp efi 52" cut. $8200 out the door was what I was gonna get it for.
Don't know if the 23.5 is too low but mine was a 25 and it did well for me. I agree on the filler
That's about what the 26 kaw with the 52 was that's a great deal.
nothing better than a new mower
Yep
this summer has been yeard.

+Johnny Mow can't help with that we have all diesels
Lawnfarmer diesels work well?
+Johnny Mow about half the fuel usage of gas, keep filters clean, change the oil and go, never had motor problems the oldest one I ever kept had over 5000 hours on it when it left here and the guy that bought it is still running it, they're a bit cold natured but they don't have to start too many times in the winter
Lawnfarmer no I don't charge extra to bag. It's just for my connivence.
Johnny there is a new kid on the block I think u need to check out called a Spartan ! I am telling you I don't think you will be disappointed ! By the way I got the Ferris 3200 and am in love with it !!!
Five times the hour warranty on the Bobcat compared to Ferris
It doesn't mean 26!inches wide. It means high
We have the exact same mower and we hate it cause it scalps bad the hustlers are way better
