Thank you for the question.
The old original charger CANNOT be used.
I use a dedicated 8.4 volt lithium ion battery charger like this:

I have mounted a charging connector on the bottom of the battery enclosure.
Also BMS for 2 Li-ion batteries (inside the battery enclosure)
