Kinda interesting how this belongs in the somewhat contradictory category of "powered trailer". As in, it's called a trailer because it trails a powered vehicle, so if the trailer gets a powered axle, is it still a trailer?
It's still a trailer because, despite the powered axle, it need a towing vehicle to be steered and directed. If the trailer was able to steer without a truck up on front, then is not a trailer anymore, but a vehicle on its own
yes absolutely - the homologation directive 2018/858 changed the definition of “e-trailer” means a trailer that is able to contribute to the propulsion of the vehicle combination by using its own electric powertrain.
By consumption. The on-board computer shows about the real values only after zeroing and passing more than 300 km. And preferably on a cruise at the same speed. And by making approximately 500 km on each connection attempt, more accurate figures will become available. I am preparing the efficiency test myself. And it was noticed as a result of these tests. Retake this moment.
I love this trailer. I've took it for a spin between Cluj and Targu Mures in Romania. But instead of going directly , I've gone towards Szeged and turned near Budapest in Hungary , than I've took the road towards Timisoara and Hunedoara. I was impressed, towing it with Daf XD it felt I had a 600 or even 700 horse power truck , not the weakest truck in the game. I even tried to see what speed I reach from 0 in 12th gear , in one minute was about 93 km/h , meanwhile with normal empty trailer was only about 60 km/h. But I'm very disappointed that the trailer is not ownable , it's very hard to find it , it's not an option for every short delivery , as after this I slept 3 times and could find any other one. Ps: doing such and detour , after crossing in Hungary the trailer seemed it run out of battery as I didn't feel it pushing me so hard and I was struggling to get to higher speeds.
I haven't yet managed to run out of battery, but it's stated on the Krone website it will go up to 500km before recharge. Hopefully, SCS will soon implement recharge stations. For EV trucks as well
@@TGMStefa well I'm not sure how many kilometres are between FLE Cluj and the border crossing , I think about 200-300. And in my driving style usually on that portion I get the highest fuel consumption. Besides this , having the new trailer I was testing how it's accelerating, how much it's helping the truck , hence the acceleration from 12th gear from standing still. I guess I managed to do record consumption with the trailer 🤣. When E-Tech was launched in the first run I've emptied the battery in less than half of the estimated range. This delivery was supposed to be less than 200 kilometres , but I did about 1000 so I definitely run out of charge at a point and the trailer was getting power only from the recuperated energy.
Update: apparently if the liftable axle on the trailer is lifted , the electric motor doesn't kick in. So I think I actually didn't run out of charge , but disabled the motor by lifting the axle somewhere at the border. 🤣 I've noticed today when I've tried the etrailer with a Volvo 750 and I had worst pefermornaces with it than with the Daf XD (36 km/h from 0 in one minute). I was thinking the truck is borken , Ive restored it , still similar results. I've lowered the axle on the trailer and I've reached 110 km/h in one minute from 12th gear with the same load. And I could hear the electric motor. With the axle lifted I didn't hear it , but I was blaming the engine sound coming from the truck. 🤣☠️
Honestly i reather add Electric power to the truck instead to trailer because it works the same and if a trailer is powered with Electric Motor the Trailer is no more Trailer but in the other side we got a hybrid truck which is more interesting to me tbh..
If there is one thing I already hate about this trailer is how SCS beat around the bush in saying where we can find it. What cargoes? What companies? What weights? How do they expect to advertise these trailers if they don't tell us how to get them especially when they can't be just bought outright?

I guess it's kinda like multiple units

@@lowrangemaniac5326 it is like how in a multiple unit, the motor car supplies power, but the control car is necessary for the train to get going

Every thing is possible
make this trailer into an HCT boys

I can see this as a win for those who know save edits
Tmp here we come hehe
HCT version of this would be fire 🔥
good test and vedio. thank you! =D
If only.. It also had additional batteries.. would be the best trailer :D

@@tcm_tatrawait what? I thought it ran out of battery
0:28 what is this test road pls do you have the link look at the hill behind the trailer
It looks so cool 🤗
are the trailer wheels actually powered, or is it just adding to the original drive wheels
From the trailer only the 2 axle
they are powered
yeah, ima save edit that to be a ownable
I want that thing
Scania S730 12 T e trailer 24.1 LT = 12 T Classıc Trailer 31.2 LT
unable to change trailers to use e-trailer, how can i get the cog on menu to change trailer?
You can not. This trailer is only available in the Quick Job menu
can i change its color?

why? if you run out of battery, the truck wont move, e-trailer doesnt have this issue since it would just be slower when it runs out.
Bro is blocking the middle lane.

For me, even on a modded map, I could get it from many Reefer/Dryvan deliveries under 300 km
wtf is an electric trailer?
It is a trailer with an electric powered axle.
Yes
“e-trailer” means a trailer that is able to contribute to the propulsion of the vehicle combination by using its own electric powertrain.
