I have said to my wife many times; all the well meaning people who help out backing into a tight spot don’t own the outcome if they make the wrong call; hence I always ask for her eyes and feedback on any potential impact points. Untrusting sole that I am 😊
Love Jake’s quote “it’s just like new” your humour never disappoints😊. Remind me never to tow anything along the Frenchman’s Track, your poor van will never be the same again. 😊😊
Watched this vid this morning 7 minutes after you posted it. I didn't see a single mistake in this vid, just experiences that you'll still be talking about in 10 years! Good on ya legends
My Saturday morning ritual, get up and make coffee, watch latest episode of Lil and Jake, laugh myself silly, now ready to face the weekend. Love you guys, Thank you. 😍🥰😘 Disclaimer, no Blue Tongues were harmed in the making of this video. Well not life threating at least. 😉🤣🤣 Shout out to your travel buddy's too. 👍👍
Awww Mark!!! Thanks so much. Hahahah, definitely would have got in a couple of laughs on this one! 😂 eeeeeekkkkk, just minor injuries. They’re legends!!! Couldn’t have done it without them. 🥰
Airbags, air Bags, Air Bags. Tilting and or raising trailer would have saved a lot of damage., But it is always fun watching someone else do what I wouldn’t! 😂😊❤
Your caravan maker supplier should give you a new one with all the free promotion it’s getting as you put it through its paces it’s held up well awesome vids guys
I have nothing but commendation for you guys doing that track. Off road gear, doing off road sh*t. No being wussy about scratches, dirt, dings and a little bit of damage. You guys are about the only tubers with a van that do the hard stuff. The guys you had travelling with you are legends as well. Great attitude Jake, this is one of the best vids I've seen. Awesome guys 👍
I lived in Cape York for over 15 years and we would play on this track outside of Tourist season. Not to mention during Tourist season drive a Recovery Tilt Tray up and down picking up Tourist broken down vehicles that was always heavily overloaded. The Frenchman's is the most commonly known notorious track on the Cape of all the designated tracks for the Tourists to travel to destroy gear so you know. We laugh and see destruction from this track year in year out so don't feel bad, you guys got away with minimal damage very lightly. Your real lucky you didnt break CV's in that car. A credit to Jake's driving, well done mate. Once Tourist season kicked in there would be every grey Nomad Tourist as well as the what we called them "The right foot down Mob" come up that had limited time and give everyone there opinion and have zero respect for people as well as us locals on the main PDR Road never slowing down. I would have hated to be you guys with everyone watching and only a couple helping you out always what we call onlookers saying go are called " Sundays Experts " just rubbish that put you under pressure, don't feel bad guys, i've seen it more times than you have fingers and toes with these Muppets, but great result to you Lil & Jake.
Lil and Jake, lil and Jake, lil and Jake, I'm laying on my bed in Tasmania watching, Frenchman's Track, holey moley, can't imagine what it was like going through that, I was thinking hope there is a way out and they don't have to go back the same way to get out, your right you will laugh about it one day, I love how you stick together and don't get cranky with each other, go you two and Lenny the van the makers of that van will be watching thinking wtf are these two doing, haha absolutely love it, hope things get easier the next leg of your trip. Bless the two of you, stay well, stay safe, stay Happy.🙏❤️🙂👍
Blue Tongue campers should be getting on board with you guys, you give that van hell and it seems to be kicking ass. Love your "She'll be right, what could possible go wrong!" adventures, keep having a crack!
so, having watched all the stuff on YT about the French track, which I am sure you did, what made you think that a caravan on that track was a good idea.
I can hear the conversation in the future:”Frenchman’s? Hah. We towed a caravan through there back in ‘23. Easy mate “ 😅. I think you earned a genuine super hero status. A few unfortunate scars but it could have been worse. And now you will never have to do it again 😊
Lil and jake we have absolutely nothing bad to say. You guys are just amazing! Do the things that noone would do 😂 your humour just gets us 😂keep doing you please and dont ever change!! From jayntiff
I have done that track a few times. I wouldn’t tow anything through there. You may have been better leaving the van at Bramwell and using the swag you have tied onto the van then Spend a night or two at Chillie Beach and go back to Bramwell via the PDR to get your van. You would have enjoyed the whole track including the Pascoe River crossing and no damage to your van (and track).
Another awesome video! The old clutch on the ranger must have got a workout! Ya making memories that I for 1 are so F#$king jealous! Great work and so funny! 😂😂😂
Excellent driving, great attitudes and a ballsy effort.. if you have seen the Pasco crossing you will be glad you left the track when you did! Good call Hope your both laughing about it all now.. Awesome efforts enjoy!!
I hope Blue Tongue 👅 come on board and sponsor you guys, you’re proper testing their van for them, they should be giving you one every year to test Actually and Ford & Maxtrax 😎
All of that in one day??????? That’s by far the most hectic thing I’ve watched. Jake that was some incredible driving you did. Hope you got out ok. What a day ❤❤
Love how all the experts come out and yell directions. Love that you took your van, we have done it with a camper trailer but it had the advantage of less height.
Wow! That was an adventure, kept me glued to my chair……you did extremely well with such a long load to tow. Well done guys lucky you had your mates in the Cruiser and they were lucky you were there for them. Great video.
Oh my! The first 5 mins into this episode, you took the words right out of my mouth 😮. The step clearance😬😬😬. Oops, step just went... Well at the start you guys said it all! Well done for going against the grain. It's a costly adventure but memories you have made and entertained us all, along the way.❤😂
Pascoe River would be impossible to even get down to Towing that ... let alone get up the other side ... Pretty sure the road building crew made a new track in last year as they had machinery in the middle that didn't come in from either end. To Be honest Cape Melville would be doable a lot easier that what you just did ... only one spot you would need to build up with logs to stop the van from leaning and you would make it to the first camp ground and could drive up the beach to the end in just the car 13kms at low tide. big effort there you two !!
Best video yet, when you come to W.A next we need to do a trip. Loving the work guys. P.S haters will always hate but if you don't challenge yourself and your equipment then there is no point doing it. 🤠
Umm, just FYI...when people say things like "DONT tow a caravan there", there is generally a pretty good reason why they say it.....well thats what I have learned after many years driving the roads less taken.....Maybe lock this experience away somewhere, to be drawn forth when next in this position.....Just sayin...
Yikes!! Just when you thought you saw the most nail biting part at the start, wait, theres so much more to come!! 😂 you guys really put the ranger and the van through its paces. Im surprised ford hasnt sponsored you, hey! And Sure, people might say oh you cant take that van there, but you guys are showing everyone what you can do when you give something a red hot go. And the lessons your learn are priceless. I know it cost money when things break, but whats the point having an off road camper that stays off the beaten track? If you wanted to stay off the beaten track youd have a full blown caravan. Anyhow great work, great driving and camera womaning and thanks for sharing with us😊
Hi, I'm a new subscriber been binge watching , you mentioned in one video people watch the channel to see Lill as great as she it's the both of you funny down to earth couple. .. BUT terrain the 4x4 goes through while pulling a van..phew really wild , channel deserves an award compelling off road footage pushing the limits of these vehicles. ✅
Cheers! That's such a nice comment! Yes we do push the limits with our little setup but we love having fun and seeing new places, thankyou so much for watching! ❤️
I’d definitely be giving the transmission some love after that stint. The temperatures must have been through the roof on those steep gnarly sections. I know mine gets up pretty high just towing my 15ft hybrid through some hilly sections on sealed roads even with a transmission cooler. Apart from that, much respect for having the balls to give it a crack. It reminded me a bit of some of the crazy stuff the All 4Adventure guys do towing their toys around similar gnarly tracks including The Frenchman’s 🤘
When I was in the NT I discovered a blown turbo hose, of course with the bonnet up my neighbours came over. My plan was to Gaffa tape, wrap a coke can and then cable tie. But my nosey neighbour insisted that the Gaffa tape would suffice, literally saying 'im going to cut in here, you don't need to do anything else". Of course 5 mins down the road the Gaffa tape failed and I was forced to fix properly on the side of a the hot road instead of the shady campsite. Know it all's should mins their own business aye 😅
Thought I was watching all 4 adventure for a while 😂 Man you had me crinching a few times. Time to start patreon to help continue the adventures of bogged. 😊
Very educational video of what not to do. Good thing you guys didn't reach the Pascoe crossing. Need to research a track as famous as the Frenchmans Also highlights the difference between an off road caravan and off road camper
Good idea bailing out there. Track gets considerably worse. Using low range through the slow moving tight sections will help lower your transmission temps if you weren’t already doing that. Love the videos guys
That's some serious fcuked up s4it! I on the edge of the seat. Thanks for the entertaining us but please be safe and look after each other! Love you guys.
You two are great don’t give up and don’t listen too anyone apart from the people you are with 😊 we are heading to Tasmania in a couple of weeks should be there by Xmas … Keep it going
Hey well done! You make mistakes and own them… and has a hell of an experience along the way😅 Your vid was visually informative for track conditions… when was it filmed? My trip starts next week
Our group towed 3 campers through the Frenchman’s after doing the OTT. The drop into the Pascoe was the most hectic obstacle in my opinion from our whole trip, especially with out Low Range 😅
New slogan. " THAT SOUNDS LIKE A DUMB IDEA...... LETS DO IT!" Print it on a hat and I'll buy it 😂 Definitely something me and my mates would try. Blood solid effort. Especially not loosing your cool over the situation.
Good for you guys to give it a go, just a tip if you are climbing that difficult of a track with a caravan run in Low range. Keep up the awesome effort with content.
Wow definitely a other fantastic video Lily and Jake really enjoyed it. I love you guys I’m always keen on watching you both every Saturday night. Jake you done one hell of a fantastic job of driving the French man track . Hey don’t stress yourself out you both are doing fantastic job unfortunately it’s all part of four wheel driving and learning. I probably wouldn’t of bought a caravan doing this type of Turing etc . A camper trailer would of been way cheaper and way more easier getting around on those types of trails. So looking forward to seeing you both next Saturday night for the next episode take care you both 😊❤
Yeah. There’s always a thousand experts giving directions. You did well guys ❤️😀
Yes!!!!! 100% it’s hilarious but also so confusing ! 😂😂😂 thanks so much Mick!
I have said to my wife many times; all the well meaning people who help out backing into a tight spot don’t own the outcome if they make the wrong call; hence I always ask for her eyes and feedback on any potential impact points. Untrusting sole that I am 😊
The irony is that you’ll find more secluded tracks without the peanut gallery in the Victorian high country
😂😂😂😂😂
Love Jake’s quote “it’s just like new” your humour never disappoints😊. Remind me never to tow anything along the Frenchman’s Track, your poor van will never be the same again. 😊😊
"The awning broke off but you're good now" quote of the year so far.
JUST FULLY SEND IT 😀😀😀😀
Great effort, it makes life hard when you have about 100 people in the peanut gallery standing around giving advice.
Totally!!!! It becomes to overwhelming sometimes. 😅
Most of them have more brains then these 2 by the looks of things
Watched this vid this morning 7 minutes after you posted it.
I didn't see a single mistake in this vid, just experiences that you'll still be talking about in 10 years!
Good on ya legends
My Saturday morning ritual, get up and make coffee, watch latest episode of Lil and Jake, laugh myself silly, now ready to face the weekend. Love you guys, Thank you. 😍🥰😘

Airbags, air Bags, Air Bags. Tilting and or raising trailer would have saved a lot of damage., But it is always fun watching someone else do what I wouldn’t! 😂😊❤
A couple of hand held UHF radios and front diff lock
would have made that so much easier.
3 cheers for the Rock sliders🎉🎉🎉😂
I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole way through 😮 great job guys 😊
Ohhh damn! Thanks so much Donna! ❤️🔥
Thanks for the video guys, I’m watching closely for more caravanning and 4WD tips on what not to do. I’m calling it “Don’t do what Jake did” 😂
Biting my nails the entire time 😬 nailed it guys!
Clear waters , bumps, slumps , trees , carnage everywhere, 😂
Watching you guys gives me the courage to take my van places 😂♥️
Loving the 'stupid shit' keep it up, at least you are building some lifetime memories - stories you can tell forever.
Your caravan maker supplier should give you a new one with all the free promotion it’s getting as you put it through its paces it’s held up well awesome vids guys
Was thinking the exact same thing
Ford and bluetongue need to give you guys new vehicles ,bet they would never have thought they would be taken on that track, great effort 😅
I have nothing but commendation for you guys doing that track. Off road gear, doing off road sh*t. No being wussy about scratches, dirt, dings and a little bit of damage. Hahahahhah! We absolutely do. We’d be wearing it all the time. 😂 can’t believe we did either! 🫠🫣
You guys are going to have so much fun when you finally learn to drive
Onya kev! Thanks for the nice comment! 👍
I must say the Ford Ranger is doing a great job 👍
I can hear the conversation in the future:”Frenchman’s? Hah. We towed a caravan through there back in ‘23. Easy mate “ 😅. I think you earned a genuine super hero status. A few unfortunate scars but it could have been worse. And now you will never have to do it again 😊
Hahahaha, ‘kids your mum and dad did that back when we were young and dumb’ 😂😂😂 Thanks so much Mick!!! We will be back, but maybe vanless! 🫠
ask blue tongue for another van as advertising of what they can do ...well done guys is an understatement
Lil and jake we have absolutely nothing bad to say. You guys are just amazing! Do the things that noone would do 😂 your humour just gets us 😂keep doing you please and dont ever change!! From jayntiff

You guys were amazing. Congratulations

Excellent driving, great attitudes and a ballsy effort.. if you have seen the Pasco crossing you will be glad you left the track when you did! Good call

Keep the tidy LN106 - perfect car for Tommy. Would have been stoked to have that as my first car
I hope Blue Tongue 👅 come on board and sponsor you guys, you’re proper testing their van for them, they should be giving you one every year to test
Actually and Ford & Maxtrax 😎

Unbelievably stressful for me, and I’m sitting in my armchair! Safe travels for the rest of your journey.
For sale, 1 used Ranger, only driven to church on Sunday's
Couple shopping trolley marks but nothing major 😂
Yikes!! Just when you thought you saw the most nail biting part at the start, wait, theres so much more to come!! 😂 you guys really put the ranger and the van through its paces. Im surprised ford hasnt sponsored you, hey!

Bloody good job you done very well👌
New slogan. " THAT SOUNDS LIKE A DUMB IDEA...... LETS DO IT!"

*For Sale - one Blue Tounge XT13 - never been off-road* Haha, great ep guys - so many close calls on that one!
Thought I was watching all 4 adventure for a while 😂
Man you had me crinching a few times. Time to start patreon to help continue the adventures of bogged. 😊
Very educational video of what not to do. Good thing you guys didn't reach the Pascoe crossing. Need to research a track as famous as the Frenchmans
Also highlights the difference between an off road caravan and off road camper
Lucky you had companions on that trak, pretty epic “ probably ok with like a Track trailer or Patriot, not a full van 😩😬
Good idea bailing out there. Track gets considerably worse.
Using low range through the slow moving tight sections will help lower your transmission temps if you weren’t already doing that.
Love the videos guys
Couldn’t agree more!! We gave it a pretty solid crack! Yeah, great tip we definitely needed to in some spots! 😅 Thanks so much Jack!! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Wow!!! That's a crazy track. I was stressed for you guys. I can't believe how calm you were 😮😊
That's some serious fcuked up s4it! I on the edge of the seat. Thanks for the entertaining us but please be safe and look after each other! Love you guys.
You two are great don’t give up and don’t listen too anyone apart from the people you are with 😊 we are heading to Tasmania in a couple of weeks should be there by Xmas …
Keep it going
Hey well done! You make mistakes and own them… and has a hell of an experience along the way😅
Your vid was visually informative for track conditions… when was it filmed? My trip starts next week
Hey legend, about a month ago, but it's forever changing up there, thanks for watching!
LETS DO IT!"

Good for you guys to give it a go, just a tip if you are climbing that difficult of a track with a caravan run in Low range. Keep up the awesome effort with content.
You fellas are too young for a caravan! Cheers for the vid 🤙🏼
I don’t want to live in a rooftop tent or swag for the rest of my life lol! Happy with our van! 👌🏼
