Combat ATK% is such an important feature that most Hoyo players have definitely overlooked cuz its very different from how it works in HSR and GI. Glad to see you covering it.
Gearing in this game overwhelms my brain that's trying to optimize. Especially with the music store and all the options it has. If you could do a video on a general algorithm when trying to gear up characters I'd definitely pour over it. Should I be only using Tuning calibrator on slot 5 or just use them all for whatever slot my dps needs most? Should I try to roll specific partition drives with intermediate tuning or only advanced tuning? Should I even use energy to level supports/stuns "survivability" pieces when none of the substats seem all that helpful either? Is dismantling an unused decent piece that I might use 6 months down the line a huge waste, or is it better to just gear up who I have now with all my resources? These thoughts don't even get in to the questions of whether I should substitute in all my S-rank Swing Jazz over A-rank of a better set bonus. Please help
@@strangerakari2836 Agreed, ATK% main stat with good sub-stats is better than elemental main stat with bad substats. Having elemental main stat with good substat is better than an ATK% with similar substats but a good elemental is hard to come by.
I thought the Starlight Engine was laughably bad. I thaught it's passive attack buff was absurdly low. Turns out that it's one of the best F2P weapon in all modern Hoyo games. Saved me 70-140 pulls for Zhu Yuan's weapon.
So using Rina with Ellen and Soukaku on shiyu defense 16 and 17 ain't so bad after all. I felt that zhu yuan needed anby more on her side, and I also don't have another stun character.
i have atk% on my stuff since the first day i could farm for S gears. the question is what do we do with rina+0 ? can she be a dps with the right build ?
@@hexadaze you are right. I am happy that right now basically all characters, regardless of their roles, can do some good amount of dmg. Unlike the non dps characters in other games (generally).
How much Pen can provide M1 rina? It says up to 130% but that seems wrong, do they mean 130% of the normally 30%? like 30%=100% // 39%=130%? please help
I’d say it’s only worth it if you have a PEN piece with really really good substats or with the correct set. Otherwise, you won’t see much of a change either way.

I can't say for the whole process, but it's better to use calibrators on slot 4 to get crit stat, rather that change slot 5 from atk% to element%.

its actually so funny, a S5 starlight engine is only 6% weaker compared to the signature, and that's only focusing Zhu
oh dang, wish I understood thisbearlier, had the exact same thoughts, took me 90 pulls to get her signature, lost to neko’s.

All characters are built to do damage. She is really a support who does some damage but moreso buffs your teams damage. I’d still pair her with a DPS.

I got a C1 rina which basically gonna make her pen ratio buff cap easier to reach. Is it worth swapping ellen’s 5th slot to pen ratio?
