In part one of Mary & George & Me, Alexa speaks to cast members Julianne Moore and Nicholas Galitzine, as well as Executive Producer Liza Marshall, Writer DC Moore, Historical Advisor Benjamin Woolley, author and academic Dr Katherine Rundell and the National Portrait Gallery’s Paul Cox, to find out more about the real Villiers family on which the series is based.

This production is really a breath of fresh air amongst TV shows these days. The story and acting from the actors really drew me in with each episode. Also ofc I lit watch anything with Nicholas in it 😂💙
Not to mention that air of grace with the British accent, the amazing costumes, music & cinematic quality etc. It really takes one who can appreciate to understand how wonderful this series is 🤩

The man they left out was John Tradescant and his son of the same name who Villiers supported. Tradescant was a gardener who introduced 100's of plants and trees to England and developed gardening techniques.
Great cast can’t wait to watch the whole piece. Nicholas Galitzine is perfect for his role as he has been in all he’s ever done. Much love Nicholas, you fulfill my idea of you!!!

Timken gallery has a portrait of Lady Mary Villiers, the daughter of George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham. Not the Duke's Mother, Mary Villiers, Countess of Buckingham.
J Moore forgot to mention play the other two sons whereas mad as a box of frog in different ways
