ackshually old guard has incendiary grenades researched so siege has an extra 15 % multiplier against buildings so siege was actually 79,35 and splash radius is also increased a bit for the normal attack.
i've encountered this and had skirm cav do quite well even in age 3. old guards if engaged in melee obviously cant shoot their grenades and also just melt to cav so that's the play. skirms on the bourbons and then just dance with cav until the bourbons die and you mightttt be able to hold. depends on micro/chokes on the map

If it were fully built up - for example especially think of Phanar Evzones or Magyar Huszars from Habsburgs, do you keep the progress you were at?
Nice little micro from Radovan to use the ability to build Trading Posts on native settlements for 100 wood 🪵 and 100 food 🥩 before tasking his War Chief to build it (you can tell from resources being changed).
Shows how inportant it is to go for the throat. If the old guards had just crossed the map he could have just nuked the base before his opponent had an answer. No reason to dally if you have the siege and army :)
Hungary Revolt for ottos or Germans, if you sent grenade launchers you get 20 range grens which is nuts. If Fire Throwers count I'd say Firethrowers with rockets, they melt any infantry and they have 22 range.
