Honestly I like that these abilities aren't ultimates, like they would definitely have to be nerfed like the sniper should only one shot when it's fully charged stuff like that. Or the launcher just has less shots per round. But otherwise I think the chaos is why I like this game.
It also makes it more unique then the average where you stress to much on what to buy, the fun stuff is also good because instead of not learning your lesson and just buying the same gun it makes you try different tactics by banning that gun you lost with making you learn from your mistakes
It’s not a tactical game it’s just like SnD on cod but the fights start way way sooner due to the map design/scale… it’s great potential, just not very balanced or thought out for what it is TRYING to be eg Tactical shooter like CS2 and Valorant.

Yeah it’s far from tactical, round start it just a 1 life tdm with no strats to be had, the map design is pretty bad for tactical shooter the scale of them is far too small for the pace, combine that with the ott footstep audio (although brilliant directional) too much range. Genuinely is less brain power needed than playing cod. Even watching high ranks(still grinding to get there) it’s not about the strats or anything it’s just straight up shootout all the time soon as the prep phase timer hits 0
I totally disagree it'd just be another failed "cod killer" like xdefiant. This game feels fresh and unique and keeps you on your toes bc you only get one life in shard clash. This game does have respawn modes though if you want it to feel like a arcade/objective shooter play the respawn objective modes.
i feel like the abilities should come over time on some characters. id also like to see synergies with cards that could further alter the round making it more chaotic.

This game can be home for apex players and overwatch players this game is the best game that has come out in a while even off the grid is cheeks compared to how smooth this game feels us as gamers need to be better. Yeah I think it would do better if it was being more realistic with its Identity and wasnt trying to grab at Valorants and CS crowds. All it needs is a good multiple life capture the point ticket system and this would easily kill Xdefiant and bring over some of the COD crowd that BO6 left out in the cold.

i think what they should do is cooldown but way freaking long for like the rocket and sniper stuff like that and i think with the sniper they should do like what they did with vindicta where the ult is a sniper but minimum ammo and they have to buy more of the ammo of the sniper rather than abilities itself

The game is fun. Guns feel good. Abilities decently balanced. But, the pacing, especially in ranked, needs works. Maybe team captains vote on X amount of banned cards pre-game and then pick a “deck” which the team votes on mid round like casual games.. idk. It’s just too slow.
These online FPS/3rdPS/battle royale games are so pervasive nowadays. Publishers keep pushing them and most of the new ones die fast or find a mediocre following. They're basically replacing one another with each release and most of them just aren't thriving.

I agree with him though, hollow point has an AWP every round and the sniper ingame can only one shot chest shot from close distance. Feels a bit wacky like the guns themselves are limited but the abilities you have every round.
I highly doubt that's what they were going for. Everybody knows nothing will ever beat out CS and Valorant at the top of tactical shooters. But that doesn't mean you can't find success in the genre...

I think this would be a cool change but it would add more time to ranked when the shard cards already take lots of time, if they can find another route for the share cards maybe then but people would complain since they are used to picking who they want
For me it isn’t tactical it’s more call of duty with cards and more headshot damage… sniper is op af if you can quick scope/ snappy aim… the maps are small af in terms of scale, the footstep audio although brilliant for directional it is also far too loud for the distance eg someone in the basement can be heard from 2nd floor. The map design for some is questionable such as the desert one where attackers go straight to basement like area if going to the right bomb site (b I think) more so a scale problem again imo feels forced and fast af to get on site… The maps although have CS2 and Valorant styling/design they are too small for the speed of the game. Not only that, I think they need to ditch the movement shooting or tweak the hitboxs to not become as broken vs people spamming jump and slide or nerf the accuracy when spamming jump and such. Or just stop jump and crouch spams 2x then slow af or something like that.
I think your obversations are correct but personally so many tac shooters are super slow pace so I like the crackhead type movement that’s available in this game. I personally just want a lower ttk and then that would mean jumping and spam crouching wouldn’t be so much of a problem if you only had to land 1 shot with the main powerful weapons (which it pretty much is, I just want weapons like the Fever ak to also 1 shot hs, also make the sniper more like the AWP with one shot chest shot across the map)

The Finals is doing ok though. 20k on Steam alone (player count is probably 40-60k if you include console) is decent considering how saturated the FPS market is right now. Not a crazy success but most games aren't.

For what it's worth it works from the round to round format really well with the gimmick at play

As the other person said, 5v5 bomb defusal is just one of the modes.

What's with the obsession of making tactical fps shooters? It feels like that has taken over what was originally a landscape of single player story or adventure games coming out by new upcoming developers (not dunking on devd for making what they want but like is everyone fps pilled or something).
Popularity. Its a big genre and making a unique fps that will catch the attention of the gaming audience will make the higher ups big bucks and it's a way for ambitious devs to make a statement on how well they can make a game
I promise you the tactical fps genre is not encroaching on the single player game market. Two completely separate markets for two separate audiences
@@bmx9757 I didn't say it was encroaching exactly but random fps games as dev teams first games are more mainstream/popping up more front and center than single player games it feels and seems
this is just friends vs friends but with a realistic art style
the biggest hope for this is to make sure the val eboy and e girl community stay away from this game. i want a game where its not some uwu owo voice or deep trash voice . so far i love the game

Yeah the name is very generic it only really shows off it's esthetic and doesn't say much about the gameplay
TBH this is the first NEW team based game that I feel if done right won’t die in the first month, unlike deadlock, finals, etc

Idk man, I’ve spent time in other main competitive shooters and fragpunk feels like the fun bits all compressed into one. Should try it out if you like fps games, personally I hoped that the hero’s wouldn’t be so annoying lol

Personally I like tactical and have had enough of the hero part, just give me some class archetypes but it’s too late for fragpunk to change that. I just turn off voice lines and we gaming
goofy ah looking game just like the finals .. its dead even before release
The Finals is doing ok though. 20k on Steam alone (player count is probably 40-60k if you include console) is decent considering how saturated the FPS market is right now. Not a crazy success but most games aren't.

@@W4rch3stThe Finals is still doing great, especially with season 4. And a game is not dead based of twitch viewers. There's not only Warzone and Fortnite to play kid and you're not the center of earth either.
