I am on the "severe" end of the spectrum. I've been hospitalized a few times because the pain was so severe that it caused intolerable nausea with seemingly neverending vomiting, a need to "push" and scream, etc. for hours on end and could only be helped by IV fluids + anti-nausea & pain meds.
