1930 0-4-0 STEAM TRAIN SPECIAL - FREDERICK COUNTY MARYLAND "HANK THE TANK"

Steam Rides the Rails over the Monocacy River, just a short ride outside Frederick City. FLAGG COAL CO - The Famous "HANK THE TANK" 0-4-0 Switcher. The Walkersville Southern has been hosting Hank's visit for 3 Weekends of operation (July 7/8 is its last weekend). The trackage used originates from the old Pennsylvania RR Line. LONG LIVE THE PENNSY!!!! :-)

Any storms out your way yet? We are expecting some tomorrow. I'll bet they break loose like last week. Some people in DC still are without power/cable/phone. Some on FB told me they couldn't find stores open, buy any gas and lost all their frozen food--- worth of prime beef. I heard they have 50 percent less linemen due to retirements, buyouts and budget cuts. Crazy!

Thanks for watching, Dan. Hank is running again for several trips tomorrow before they truck him away. I heard he may be back for a visit next year. They are hoping for cooler temps. Having to run in this heat has to be murder on the crew. Their faces and shirts were soaking wet. I just uploaded the crossing video. Maybe, ....just maybe, ....I'll try another crossing clip tomorrow???? There are several rural roads to choose from.
