Well it's not just Hindi which sounds like Japanese, same goes for Bengali! I'm a native Bengali speaker studying Japanese..so i can relate to my mother tongue while learning Japanese! The expression,Grammer,sentence structure do resemble a lot to Japanese and that's why it's easy to understand unlike English language.

The day I'll learn Japanese I'll move to Japan. I speak 1 day in Tokyo and I was flawed with their kindness I am a strict vegetarian and on the airport could not find anything for me. A man at the restaurant spoke with me through Google translator and made a vegetarian tofu dish for me and left abnote don't pay it's okay. I convert my rupees in yen and paid him back I was starving for more than 20 hrs almost. Can't thank him enough. I love Japan their cleanliness technology and kindness loved it
As an Indian I found Japanese easy to learn too. Also helped that I knew Korean which has quite a few similar words but yep its comparatively easier to learn the hiragana and katakana for an Indian. The advanced you go it gets difficult though
