    I think our Caribbean island ppl have link with Ghana. We do conchi dumpling. Almost like what you do in the leaf from corn. We roast fish and eat. Out of Africa they took us so we still have the culture

    I would love to know how Fomfom (unfermented kenkey) is made. It's mainly found in the Western region, but could you show a video on how to make it?

      My Grandma knows how to do it very well. I think you need white maize, I have tried ‘Ensiwo’ in Uk here before, only the leaves are a bit expensive. But I’m really loving your channel, I will try this Fante kenkey it really looks good.

      The Nzema use both white & red maize to make fomvum, depending on what is available.
      The red has such an attractive purple colour when made.
      I think there is a further variation when they use white maize called bɛdɛ kuma. All are delicious with kyinam smothered in a thick peppery tomato sauce (bo m'adwen)

      Then milling again

      In Ghana we have agidi too it is also known as kafa.
      The process is slightly different so it is lighter.
      I think kafa is recommended as an easily digestible supplement for someone who has been unwell.
      Maize is a very versatile crop and food source.

    This is a different type of Fante kenkey.
    It is mostly associated with the people of Winneba. However, all the other towns also have it.
    For instance, in my town, Biriwa, it is called )domna D)kon

    The Accra kenkey is white this is different. . And the leaves too is different from the one in Accra..Correct me if am wrong.

      Is you're right but it because we add yellow corm to the white corn that's why the colour changed and also the leaves is different. Accra leaves different for the fante leaves 💯
