I think our Caribbean island ppl have link with Ghana. We do conchi dumpling. Almost like what you do in the leaf from corn. We roast fish and eat. Out of Africa they took us so we still have the culture
I had this for launch yesterday, so delicious but the Fante kenkey was dammm expensive lol, just one cost me £2.50, anyways I enjoyed it so we move! I’m loving your Chanel….
Wow never seen this type of fante kenkey before, will definitely give it a try if I get some of the leaves. Thanks for sharing, please keep the videos coming-they’re interesting
J'aime ça parceque ça n'est pas emballé dans du plastique .comme avant dans des feuilles naturelles .comme l'attieké chez nous en Côte D'Ivoire .❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sindaco, another great video. Keep it up bro,we really need to see these authentic and ingenious foods of Ghana. Still waiting for the Aboloo receipe.🤗🥰
Bonjour Kara, merci d’avoir regardé et d’aimer la vidéo, j’apprécie 👍👌❤️❤️ veuillez vous abonner à la chaîne RUclips pour des vidéos plus intéressantes. 👍🙏
Omg you just took me back to when I was in Sekondi, SHS Sekco. I love this Kenley and would love to make one. Do you have the leaves available so I can buy like the last time.
My Grandma knows how to do it very well. I think you need white maize, I have tried ‘Ensiwo’ in Uk here before, only the leaves are a bit expensive. But I’m really loving your channel, I will try this Fante kenkey it really looks good.
The Nzema use both white & red maize to make fomvum, depending on what is available. The red has such an attractive purple colour when made. I think there is a further variation when they use white maize called bɛdɛ kuma. All are delicious with kyinam smothered in a thick peppery tomato sauce (bo m'adwen)
Wow. Amazing. Beautiful colours in the leaves and a lot of jobb. Making kinkey is better than gym😊Nice dish🙏🏻The only thing I wonder about why they use plastic in hot water. Plastic is like a poison to the body system in longterm😔
In Ghana we have agidi too it is also known as kafa. The process is slightly different so it is lighter. I think kafa is recommended as an easily digestible supplement for someone who has been unwell. Maize is a very versatile crop and food source.
This is a different type of Fante kenkey. It is mostly associated with the people of Winneba. However, all the other towns also have it. For instance, in my town, Biriwa, it is called )domna D)kon
In love with your channel. I love the local vibe and the authentic recipes. I’m Nigerian living and studying in Philippines. The way you laugh makes me laugh too 😂😂😂 Is there a reason for mixing the cooked with the uncooked one?
Is you're right but it because we add yellow corm to the white corn that's why the colour changed and also the leaves is different. Accra leaves different for the fante leaves 💯
Sauf erreur de ma part, ce sont des graines de courge. A cette allure et à force de passer de feu à feu, ca m étonnerait qu il y est encore un *élément nutritif*
This is real food, healthy and original. I love it.🔥🔥❣️❣️

Aww sorry about that. Thanks for watching. Please share
I would love to know how Fomfom (unfermented kenkey) is made. It's mainly found in the Western region, but could you show a video on how to make it?
My Grandma knows how to do it very well. I think you need white maize, I have tried ‘Ensiwo’ in Uk here before, only the leaves are a bit expensive. But I’m really loving your channel, I will try this Fante kenkey it really looks good.
@AJ i will get it for you ❤️💪💯
Yea 👍💯

@@michaelkofimaani724 With Nsiho etsew or dokon, the remove the skin of the maize in a mill before soaking it
Then milling again
You are very funny home sweet home....🥺💯👌

Awww❤️💯💯👍👍😍😍
Wow. Amazing. Beautiful colours in the leaves and a lot of jobb. Making kinkey is better than gym😊Nice dish🙏🏻The only thing I wonder about why they use plastic in hot water. Plastic is like a poison to the body system in longterm😔
Nice👍, We have something similar in Nigeria, we call it agidi . yummy 😋😋
Wow
In Ghana we have agidi too it is also known as kafa.
The process is slightly different so it is lighter.
I think kafa is recommended as an easily digestible supplement for someone who has been unwell.
Maize is a very versatile crop and food source.
Eii my good friend Sindaco did not invite anyone when eating. Chop time no friend 😁😁💝
Abi you know dada 😊😁😁😁😁
Loveeeee 🙌🏾🙌🏾😍
Looks authentic, only one step I’m worried about is the plastic material used in the cooking. Is there no other substitutes…..
Lovely♥️👍🏿
❤️💯👌
The only difference between this and ga kenkey is the leaves right? This uses the banana leaves and the ga is corn husk?
Yea and salt. Gas also add salt to theirs 💯👍
Please what about the black pepper
It a choice. You can decide if you want that
Nice video ,thank you for sharing, but dont use plastic to cover oo please! Where is Auntie so if I am in the area I can buy from her please!
Thanks for the information.. 👍🙏👌❤️ She in Winneba in Central Region 💯
@@cookingwithsindaco has she got a no. I am from the area so I can go there!

It was grill dry and washed Later.
This is a different type of Fante kenkey.

Does Sis Efe make fante kenkey daily?
Not daily but in orders
Did she add salt?
No please
Bro u didn't tell us the name of the leaves you used for the fante kenkey oh
Please it called banana leaves
Oh ok thanks Bro
Wow
💯👌❤️💪👍
It just like Ga keykey
The difference is the salt. Ga Kenkey has salt in it💯👌👍👍
When you get it very hot... oh my God is heaven on earth
You see the thing ❤️💪💯💯💯💯👍👍
I love kenke
❤️❤️💯
She’s very neat , I like her.
Thank you ❤️❤️💯♥️ that's my auntie
Aside from the Kenkey, it’s music to my ears hearing my mother tongue, I hardly come across Fante’s
Aluminum foil would be good replacement to plastic cover!
Wow! Can ladies cook that delicious cake or is just men 😉??
too much work...i hope it tastes good, wouod oove to taste it💕💕
Taste very good. One of Ghana's delicacy
In love with your channel. I love the local vibe and the authentic recipes. I’m Nigerian living and studying in Philippines.
The way you laugh makes me laugh too 😂😂😂
Is there a reason for mixing the cooked with the uncooked one?
Aww thank you and an glad you love what I do ❤️💯😍 i appreciate ❤️😘. The mixture is to get a good texture, smoothness.. 👍💯
👍 👍 👍 😋 💘
Your Fante di33..Charlie you can speak😁😁
😁👌😍💯I just love it and don't want to trade with any language 😁😁😁
The Accra kenkey is white this is different. . And the leaves too is different from the one in Accra..Correct me if am wrong.
Is you're right but it because we add yellow corm to the white corn that's why the colour changed and also the leaves is different. Accra leaves different for the fante leaves 💯
@@cookingwithsindaco Remember the leaves also add natural colour and natural flavour to it....
East Africans lets gather here for Ugali
Wow you have the same in East Africa too wow
