I personally would have prefered to have this set be a similar price and scale to the Razorcrest. Plenty of space then for the figures etc. The speeders could have very easily been their own set, could've had Omega in said set. But overall, the set itself is pretty good. Hopefully we'll get a Republic Crosshair in the rumoured Star Wars CMF :)

Dee Bradley Baker's probably the actor with the most minifigures based on his characters. People like Samuel L. Jackson, Warwick Davis and Cate Blanchett can't compete with him
I personally believe that they should’ve scrapped the two speeders in favor of making the ship bigger and improving its flaws, as well as putting more effort into the figures (like giving them all backpacks).
I like the imperial barc speeder and i think the size of the ship is fine i also know a lot of people dont like the sand blue but i like it even if its not accurate but i would definitely liked to have one of the imperial elites in the set aswell as a phase two clone trooper and maybe omega in exchange for the green speeder
For the cockpit, I was astounded they didn’t reuse the canopy pieces from the BvS/Justice League Batmobile. Practically the identical shape to the Marauder in the show. Sure it compromises space but surely that could have been worked around?
Hunter should've had a red pauldron, Echo should've had a cloth kama instead of the print as well as a droid arm. Think Crosshair could've benefitted from a bit more printing.
I agree with the echo kama and crosshair but hunter doesn’t wear a Pauldron. He should have had arm printing for his shoulder armor. I would’ve liked to see a new backpack mould for their commando packs instead of prints too
Hunter doesn’t have a pauldron in the show, and echo’s grey hand represents his scomp link, while the arm printing clearly represents the attachment on his upper arm, the mechanical elbow, and the forearm the scomp link is attached to.

They should have used the First Order FlameTrooper mould for Echo and maybe Hunter. That Phase 2 helmet on Echo looks terrible in shape. The printing is good though.
That BARC speeder is probably close to the scale of the UCS Gunship. Pretty sure we only saw them once in the show anyway and Crosshair didn't ride one. That green speeder is also pretty irrelevant but like you said we can't blame the designers for that too much. Dark tan might have worked for the gonk droid.
I understand why they didn’t choose to make a new mould for Echo’s arm/hand, considering that it’s all just for one character who will probably stay exclusive to this set, as well as the lack of a cloth skirt for his waist, but they definitely should have printed the sides of his legs to at least get the idea across.
$70 sounds about right for just the main shuttle and all the figures, which puts it at the same price as the Imperial Shuttle which is a bit taller than this one.
They should have removed the speeders, and released a separate set with Hunter, Omega, and Fennec where they had the speeder chase. Hunter could have had his civilian clothes on, and it would have been a cheaper way to get Fennec (which Lego CLEARLY stated with the UCS gunship that “you shouldn’t have to pay $300+ dollars for an exclusive minifigure”) as well as getting Omega!
As Ryan from mandrproductions stated the hypocrisy of the reasoning behind the gunship mini figures that the fans wanted being denied was absolutely stupid. The ucs cantina set has several but that’s perfectly fine by them. I have no issue with those figures being exclusive it’s cool to get a ucs set with exclusive figures and as far as their flawed reasoning goes there’s bricklink among other sites to get just them if you want to.
just bought this set on ebay for £37 ($45) says it is untouched only that figures are removed (quite a bummer as i quite like the figures) but still awesome, i really like the sand blue colour of the shuttle
They should have just focused on the ship instead of including speeders and increased the piece count a couple hundred. Then maybe I would buy this but at this point... no no no.
My only real complaint is the lack of a stand for the Marauder. Once I built one and was able to take in the ship in flight mode from a distance, I fell in love with the set. Does it as a whole have flaws, yes, but virtually all lego sets do. I made backpacks for the figs and will try the 1.5mm drill mod for crosshair to add a rangefinder which I feel he does need. I like this set imo. I wish there was backpacks for the Bad Batch, landing gear for the set, a blaster pistol for Hunter since in the show he has a single knife, a blaster pistol for Crosshairs to, & Wrecker has a knife to.
This set has a ton of flaws. That said, I love it. I've been a sucker for the Bad Batch since the show premiered, and even with a lot of poor design choices, I'm more than happy to have the bad batch in Lego form with their shuttle to pile into. I may modify it down the line, but at the moment, I'm pretty satisfied with the product as far as giving me what I wanted represented in Lego form. If it were $90, I would call this set fantastic as is. At $100, it's good for me, but not for everyone.
I feel like they could have made the top fin with bricks instead of tiles like in the recent imperial shuttle, that way you wouldn't have the "negative" side

i simply remove echo's hand, seems believable enough to me. maybe it's possible to get one of those robot arms with a stud on the end of it and have that be a robot arm
I was honestly surprised by how small it actually was, it’s like half the size of Krennic’s shuttle when I put them side-by-side. I still like it, but improvements could’ve been made.
I think this ship would have looked a lot better as a larger $120 - $150 dollar set. Could have helped make the wings and interior better. Hell even get rid of the speeders and devote all 900ish pieces to just the ship. The build reminded me a lot of the Imperial shuttle and those ships also always worked better in larger sets.
It looks nice on display with the wings down. With the wings up, the no landing gear, and the wierd proportions the set looks awefull when displayed like that. Do like the figures a lot tho except for the printed on backpacks ended up building my own for them.

They SHOULD have used a similar piece to the canopy from the 76045 Batmobile for the cockpit canopy here. That would have been amazing. but I can understand if they chose not to because it would have made the ship much larger in scale and end up pricing it awkwardly high. Maybe in the future a more appropriate piece could be developed.
Haven't seen the Bad Batch, but I really like the character minifigs and interior space of the shuttle. Don't however feel I need another Speeder after the 501st Battle pack. Would've been a better idea to do away with the two speeders and build a better shuttle. Just my opinion, but great review all the same.

Just got one yesterday. It’s not bad, but there’s a lot of smaller issues throughout the set that bring it down. I like it overall, but that’s it. I just like it. It definitely could’ve seen some improvements, especially with the figures
I've watched the series, really like it! Not sure if the side builds were very necessary in this set, they could have put Omega (if they'd knew about her earlier) and also landing gear would have made the shuttle look better when sitting on the ground, I realize that a way to display the ship in flight would have required extra pieces, and it's already quite expensive! Wrecker should have been modified to look bigger than the rest of the crew, I really hope they explore this series a little more with Lego sets, even if it's just 2 or 3 more, they've done countless sets for the Clone Wars series and Rebels, Bad Batch deserves attention as well, cool review, Jang!

As always great video, Jang. I'm ACKtually very pleasantly surprised with how much I like the Sand Blue here. I would've thought at first that Dark Blueish Grey will be better, but now I think it would've looked kinda boring compared to this. Shame about the lack of proper backpacks though, and hopefully an Omega figure will appear sooner than later. I kinda get why Disney didn't want to spoil her Still, I can't wait to build this!
I think the split batmobile/batwing canopy from the Batman vs Superman sets (recoloured of course) would have been a better choice for windscreen area.
Great and Honest review, the only reason to get the set would be if you are a minifigure collector, the shuttle is pretty average and don't care for the speeders either. May be they will release a better one like Kylo Ren's shuttle if the Bad Batch runs for 3 seasons or more.
For the first time in a long time, I think the minifigures are close to perfect. There's something about the printing on the light-grey figure that makes it look cheap and non-Lego-ish to me, otherwise I think these minifigures knocked it out of the park.

I know I’m replying too late for this to be relevant but I thought I’d mention that the “screens/datapads” are actually posters that were seen in the shuttle during the Bad Batch TCW arc
IMHO the smaller sets like this shuttle and the smaller slave 1 are the best decision made by Lego in a long time. Could this set be better, yeah obviously but it is still good as a toy. As a child I would have love it just as my first Gunship The minfigs are good or better that most other in my opinion. they also good be better but they are not worse. Good set overall
Great set but definitely have some major flaws. Lack of landing gear which LEGO have forgotten for sets like this, a finn that can't act like a handle area. But still a good set with great mini figures. I will however add some custom stuff to my members except wrecker he looks the best and Hunter is a close second.
110 euro's in the netherlands. Makes no sense to me. Got it cheaper, 95 or so, but still after building it, it didnt feel right. I liked building the speeders more than the shuttle itself. Well ok, it doesnt look bad. That is for sure

I love this show and this ship so much. Unfortunately there's just too many flaws in this set for me to justify the purchase. I hope they do a ucs set, or a 150 range set with more detail and Omega.
I’m going to look on bricklink for the figures because I don’t like the shuttle at all honestly. It only has hints of sand blue in the show very small specific areas it’s not dominant at all. The interior is way too cramped also they should’ve made the model much larger. I also would’ve heavily preferred cross hair in his republic armor as well. I’ll probably get just the figures and patiently wait for a bigger more accurate and more detailed version to come out ucs size or not.
Shame, its a good attempt but so much lacking. That's the problem with Lego designers doing this before the show launched and they have a good understanding of the ship and the show. The omission of Omega is pretty bad, they could have included part of a landing platform with Sid and Omega instead of the speeders. The biggest let down however is that this will be the only version of this ship. Just like the twilight, the Ghost, Krenics shuttle and the resistance transport. So we're stuck with a rather inferior rendition. That said.... I'm pretty sure Santa is bringing my son this for Christmas ☺️ Great review as always Jang
I watched every episode, and I don't even remember the speeders. as far as conflict in a box goes, there usually isn't with this size of ship. slave 1s, X/Y/A/B-wings, tie fighters, imperial shuttles, millennium falcons, grievous ship, mandalorian fighter, tri-fighters, etc all don't have "conflict in a box". they just have a ship and figure, maybe a small utility vehicle in some rebel alliance sets. In many non-star wars themes like marvel, batman, and ninjago; conflict in a box is common.

If you're displaying this in landing mode you can switch the left and right wing really easily so the anti-studs aren't faced outward.

Hey Jang , you can also use 1 x 1 round hollow studs to lock it in place without arming the spring shooter du to the tails of the bolts.

lego should have used all black technic on the underside of the wings. It would have helped the landing position aethetics a lot.

Honestly this ship is cool enough that i would be really happy with a larger remake or even a full fledged UCS version with some more interior space.

I think a big fig would have been cool for wrecker, its not accurate but it would a fun figure to have

Echo does get a replacement arm / hand because he has one in rebels.
Echo was in rebels ?
I think the split batmobile/batwing canopy from the Batman vs Superman sets (recoloured of course) would have been a better choice for windscreen area.
Great and Honest review, the only reason to get the set would be if you are a minifigure collector, the shuttle is pretty average and don't care for the speeders either. May be they will release a better one like Kylo Ren's shuttle if the Bad Batch runs for 3 seasons or more.
For the first time in a long time, I think the minifigures are close to perfect. There's something about the printing on the light-grey figure that makes it look cheap and non-Lego-ish to me, otherwise I think these minifigures knocked it out of the park.
Hunters face looks a bit off to me but they are pretty good
I bought it too. Love the actual ship and minifigures, the speeder bikes not so much. Price is a lot. Yeah. I bought it from another retailer with 20% discount. Felt better than Legos price

Did anyone else get TWO Wrecker armour pieces??? I came to this review to see if Jang would show it in the extra pieces but he doesn't seem to have one either.

I have an enormous amount of respect for you that you actually go out and purchase these of your own accord. There are several RUclips ers who get them for free which yeah which as a consumer of lego myself I think is rather unfair. So much respect and keep doing what you're doing

Small correction: Those aren't screens at 5:49, they're datapads (basically tablets), looks like educational ones as the Aurebesh text says "space battles" and "history" respectively.
I really appreciate how you consider value, looking at each of the builds, comparing it to other themes like City, and thinking of how Lego arrived at their prices
I know I’m replying too late for this to be relevant but I thought I’d mention that the “screens/datapads” are actually posters that were seen in the shuttle during the Bad Batch TCW arc
IMHO the smaller sets like this shuttle and the smaller slave 1 are the best decision made by Lego in a long time.
Could this set be better, yeah obviously but it is still good as a toy. As a child I would have love it just as my first Gunship
The minfigs are good or better that most other in my opinion. they also good be better but they are not worse.

Great set but definitely have some major flaws. Lack of landing gear which LEGO have forgotten for sets like this, a finn that can't act like a handle area. But still a good set with great mini figures. I will however add some custom stuff to my members except wrecker he looks the best and Hunter is a close second.
110 euro's in the netherlands. Makes no sense to me. Got it cheaper, 95 or so, but still after building it, it didnt feel right. I liked building the speeders more than the shuttle itself. Well ok, it doesnt look bad. That is for sure

I think it is because the mandalorian tank in this wave is also called the marauder

I love this show and this ship so much. Unfortunately there's just too many flaws in this set for me to justify the purchase. I hope they do a ucs set, or a 150 range set with more detail and Omega.
What are the flaws?
Should have taken all the speeder parts and made the shuttle bigger. Most AFOL will buy it for the minifigs is my guess
I’m going to look on bricklink for the figures because I don’t like the shuttle at all honestly. It only has hints of sand blue in the show very small specific areas it’s not dominant at all. The interior is way too cramped also they should’ve made the model much larger. I also would’ve heavily preferred cross hair in his republic armor as well. I’ll probably get just the figures and patiently wait for a bigger more accurate and more detailed version to come out ucs size or not.

Shame, its a good attempt but so much lacking. That's the problem with Lego designers doing this before the show launched and they have a good understanding of the ship and the show.
The omission of Omega is pretty bad, they could have included part of a landing platform with Sid and Omega instead of the speeders.
The biggest let down however is that this will be the only version of this ship. Just like the twilight, the Ghost, Krenics shuttle and the resistance transport. So we're stuck with a rather inferior rendition.
That said.... I'm pretty sure Santa is bringing my son this for Christmas ☺️

I watched every episode, and I don't even remember the speeders. as far as conflict in a box goes, there usually isn't with this size of ship. slave 1s, X/Y/A/B-wings, tie fighters, imperial shuttles, millennium falcons, grievous ship, mandalorian fighter, tri-fighters, etc all don't have "conflict in a box". they just have a ship and figure, maybe a small utility vehicle in some rebel alliance sets.
In many non-star wars themes like marvel, batman, and ninjago; conflict in a box is common.
