I looked awful at first too. But now I've been using make up for like 6 months or so and when I try to recreate insta or yt make up looks it actually looks pretty much the same. You just need to find which make up techniques work best on your face and practise. You don't need expensive make up, I use drug store all the time.
I've learned it's never how expensive the makeup is!!! I've tried a lot of poplar foundations and it look HORRIBLE! I thought I was doing something wrong. But then I tried drugstore and like half of them looked really good on my skin. Just amazes me!

I once had a golden lipstick from a German drugstore (Cause I'm from Germany) and it was sooooooooo great. It was really long lasting and a nice color, but after 3 weeks it was so dry, that I couldn't use it anymore, but the same brand has cream lipstticks who work better and don't get dry haha ^^ but I trink I preffer international brands more... my most favourite international brand that I ever bought stuff from is "Astor" ( I think this brnad is nly available here in Europe like Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Austira,... like middle and western europe...^^)

Those kind of lashes are actually really popular in Japanese make up. The whole point is to look cute w. round eyes, unlike Western/American makeup which is more about looking, idk, sexy with sharp cat eyes? You'll see a lot of Japanese models/celebrities/people into Japanese makeup wearing those kinds of lashes, although maybe not that dramatic lol
i live in california (bay area specifically) and all of the pier 1 imports have become daisos in the past year... the first daiso in my area was on this street near uc berkeley, and it's the smallest thing ever full of wonderful dollar store items XD

Nowayer :3 daiso's quality is much better than the dollar stores from America, and since there are like 5 daisos near me the American dollar stores have mostly been empty

This makeup can be found on santee's website and kleancolor's site! They're actually American brands you find in black beauty supplies, shop miss a, and discount/99cent stores all over! Some of it is on amazon too
It's actually not a $1.50 store though. I don't know where she got that from cause I live in the same state and the vast majority of things sold at Daiso are more than $1.50.
HEY!!! That style of eyeshadow brush is usually used for monolid eyes!!! Putting more shadow on it and applying very very slight pressure/angle more towards the bottom makes a cute and super easy soft wash gradient look which is super popular is japan!!!

I saw this video when I was living in Japan, and I'm on a Safiya binge watch right now. Daiso concealer was the only concealer brand of concealer I bought in Japan. When I was there, it was originally ¥105... and gradually it over time. 😅 I'm also a notebook and letter paper fiend. Daiso had some of the prettiest writing paper that I used to buy. Damn I miss living there.

i live in california (bay area specifically) and all of the pier 1 imports have become daisos in the past year... the first daiso in my area was on this street near uc berkeley, and it's the smallest thing ever full of wonderful dollar store items XD
Anna G I don't have a daiso where I'm at but I live about an hour away from la which does have one. But I have a peir one imports near me so u just got me excited hoping that they switch it to a daiso!

Nowayer :3 daiso's quality is much better than the dollar stores from America, and since there are like 5 daisos near me the American dollar stores have mostly been empty

HEY!!! That style of eyeshadow brush is usually used for monolid eyes!!! Putting more shadow on it and applying very very slight pressure/angle more towards the bottom makes a cute and super easy soft wash gradient look which is super popular is japan!!!

I saw this video when I was living in Japan, and I'm on a Safiya binge watch right now. Daiso concealer was the only concealer brand of concealer I bought in Japan. When I was there, it was originally ¥105... and gradually it over time. 😅
I'm also a notebook and letter paper fiend. Daiso had some of the prettiest writing paper that I used to buy.
