My grandparents lived in Holland while i was growing up. They always left and came down to Kokomo IN to escape the tulip festival because my grandpa hated all the crowds that arrived. LoL. Holland is a nice little town.

The festival is super fun but We can totally see why locals would head out of town that time of year. It's so busy!

    Oh I really love fudge!!!
When I visited Tasmania, Australia, I tried a number of superior flavoured fudge bars.
I forgot the brand, but it was all artisan made & family owned/operated. Excellent fudge it was & I have always wished to go back, even if just to buy & eat that delicious fudge again!
I must say, your tried & tested fudge varieties look pretty awesome & yummy too!
That's a great location, specifically as the main street is lined with varying fudge shops & all filled with so many choices & colours! Very cool indeed!
I also like that you can watch staff creating/preparing the fudge, then selling it direct to the public.
I also love the sampling (provided it's performed in a very hygienic manner), as that's a great way to know what's worth buying more of & what's not.
In ref to cutting into fudge being satisfying, I do agree & I also love working with soft dough. There's something so satisfyingly therapeutic, about both fudge & fresh dough!

Great video! I go to lake Michigan a few times every year. However lake Superior is most gorgeous lake among all the Great lakes.

You did a tour of the towns around Lake Michigan and didn't go to mind-blowing Saugatuck!? That's literally the best town in the Midwest. Really missed the jewel of Lake Michigan. Also, you missed so many cool places in WI like Door County, the Cape Cod of the Midwest!! Art galleries, hiking trails, lighthouses - more to do than just drink beer!

This is true, however in our defense we had a 6 week old newborn with us and it was the first time we had gotten out of the house to do anything fun in many months

*PLEASE NOTE* that the windmill was BROUGHT to Michigan in 1964. But was originally built in 1761!!

There’s also a Danish windmill in Elk Horn Iowa. Interestingly it also claims to be America’s only authentic working Danish windmill.

You skipped Pentwater, Ludington and Manistee. All beautiful lakeside towns to hit between Grand Haven and Traverse City if you do this tour again.
