Listened to Disgraceland five times in a row last night, and I didn't even realize that until this morning when I woke up. North Ave. is currently my personal favorite off the album; the nagging melody (especially the ingenious guitar sounds) and lyrics just give off that funny nostalgic feeling for whatever reason. Bathroom Tile Blues is also extremely addictive. Very bluesy, obviously. Actually, every single track is fueled by exquisite vintage-sounding guitar hooks, infectiously catchy drum beats, and just gives off that overwhelmingly optimisitic rush of energy. Just pure and straight up rock and roll stripped down to its barest essentials and none of those intricate bullshit. It is designed for the average listener to JUST HAVE FUN, dance along and feel youthful. This is THE album to listen to if you want to kickstart your day with a pumped-up load of adrenaline rush and get rid of those blues.
