Who chose Arceus? 🧡
I haven’t played scarlet yet but grinding on arceus made it fun, plus the amount of legendary Pokémon and mythical Pokémon were sick. Especially getting god
I did
Me
Everyone cause you over sold arcieas and didn't even talk about scarlet
@@monokuma7746 ???
Literally no joke the best Pokémon game would be to combine the best parts of both game THEN just improve how’s the game runs
Basically pixelmon with actual quest mechanics and a story
The glitches from scarlet/violet and arceus shiny method
Im pretty sure the only thing stopping that is the hardware limitations i hope with the switch 2 we finally get detailed open worlds for both pokemon & zelda cause damn these games are amazing but just imagine if they had next generation performance :,( we can dream riggtt
@@brawlgasm56pixelmon graphic is shit asf tho
@shykyta20 Also the catching method and shiny noise
Legends Arceus. Especially when you realize your character is the reason Giratina reacted so harshly to Cyrus in present day Diamond and Pearl.
Giratina only made an appearance in Platinum?

And in Platinum.. something about games main character was mentioned. That's what dude is saying@@Blitzatrix

Legends Arceus was the BEST time I’ve ever had with Pokémon! I want another Legends game so badly, but this time I want it actually open world, keeping the same action RPG elements, and with more stuff to do (more Pokémon in the dex, etc.). I’d also like it to be NOT a time-traveling story. Or at least, with the main character being original to the time period.
Legends was not that good
@@DarthPooh that’s your opinion. I think more people disagree with you. But ofc, it’s also just our own opinion.
@@DarthPoohYou are free to have your own opinion, but I legit didn't touch Scarlet after the first gym. Im still trying to full shiny the pokedex in Arceus to this day.
I say Arceus all the way! For sure! I’ve made two accounts and completed them and I’m still not bored! I would love to see a Legends: Kyureum to see how the Original Dragon split apart. Legends: Mew would also be so cool, as it could take place when all there really were were fossil pokemon, but as you filled out the pokedex, more and more pokemon would appear from all around the regions. You’d be able to catch all 1,000+ Pokemon. Anybody else think that this is such a cool idea?
@@Another-Squished-Adam1 one of my favorite Kanto episodes was the Ancient City of Pokemopolis. I’m not sure how much of it is in the gen 1 games though (cause I only watched the show as a kid and never played the games) because I feel like most people say that there’s no history to the Kanto region to make a whole game on it. So that whole episode may not be canon at all. But in any case, if they make a game based on ancient Kanto, I can definitely see all the mons from the first four gens being present too!
arceus, a good story, best mechanic of actually throwing pokeballs in the pokemons faces
I really love chucking my balls in their face. I didn't know this is what I needed in life.
Naw s/v got better story
@@infernogaming2372sv story is so blend. I almost couldnt finish the game and litteraly skipped half the dialogue.
@@unclientrandom5371dude Arceus is boring asf, i just started playing it after i bought ALL the way in the fall of last year
@@unclientrandom5371Arceus was boring asfff, i just started playing it again after having it for almost a year
I pick Legends. Even though I am enjoying Pokémon scarlet, I just feel like there was more fun to have in legends. I played that game so much, even after completing all the task to do in that game just because I found it so cathartic in the manner of catching Pokémon in that game. I still play it to this day, with no sense of boredom. With Scarlet and Violet I’m ready to put it down only a month in.
If you play online vs others that’s the most fun part in my opinion when it comes to scarlet and violet feel like after beating it it’s a game really meant for ranked or comp more so and I love PvP that’s why I love it
@@CazDad yep if only they put online pvp features in arceus. Thats going to be a bomb.
Shiny sounds
I beat scarlet and went right back to shiny hunting in legends arceus! I love it. I pray they make a Legends Kyurem or Legends HO-OH or Celebi.
YES, I was also ready to put down Scarlet after beating the game! I love just hanging out in the world in Legends Arceus. I still sometimes get on it just to return others’ lost satchels lol. Also, it introduced me to the Switch Zelda games, which I also fell in love with.
Legends, best game I've played since HeartGold and SoulSilver
arceus is the only game out of these that I could replay multiple times
Who chose Scarlet/Violet? ❤️💜
I chose violet cuz I just got it for Christmas 🎄

I got violet
Meh
My heart is with Arceus, I’m sorry 🙈🧡
Legends was the most fun I’ve had with the franchise since I was a kid. The new mechanics and the way you’re actually vulnerable, not just mindless catching and battling, was what made it a whole new experience. I would almost call it more immersive because of that.
Arceus is fantastic. I love the way they make Pokemon actual threats in the wild. And catching a pokemon without having to start a battle is amazing as well. I also like the crafting system.
Violet is cool but im definitely not as involved with it as much as i am with arceus
I like things from both games. I enjoy how the dex worked in Legends, and it made me spend a lot of hours getting all of the Pokémon. And I loved the shiny hunting. The graphics style in that game I find nicer, too. But I do like the open world of S/V, enjoy the new Pokémon, the story, and how you can choose your path.
I actually think s/v as well as legends both have the best improvements to the dex in both the traditional and a uniquely new sense
The pokemon and character graphics in S/V is actually better than arceus
Honestly, I can't decide. I like that they show you when a Pokémon is Shiny in PLA, but I like Scarlet and Violet because it's a mix between traditional Pokémon and PLA.
That was a really thoughtful summary for only being a minute
I personally spent more time in legends arceus doing shiny hunting and trying to complete the Pokédex, but I think scarlet/violet has the upper hand, especially with the dlc coming up
Arceus was amazing
I perfer SV because because of its multiple story paths and the Tera mechanic is awesome and throws battling to another level
Legends Arceus had you complete the dex while making you guess on how to get the Pokemon you don't have. In Scarlet, it's optional, and you can virtually get every Pokemon without trading besides the exclusives and the other 2 starters. There's more that you can do in Scarlet than in Legends Arceus.
I mean to be fair you’re supposed to catch them all and scarlet and violet make it harder to do that with a whole $60 price tag addition. The name of the game is “gotta catch em all” lol
@@nirvanazombie1991 Have you heard of Pokemon Home and online trading? I actually just completed mine because I wanted to, not because I needed to. I don't have Miraidon, but having someone that you know is a lot better than trying to trade for it. With Legends Arceus, it's more of a simulation type of game, where you can only find Pokemon at night, in the rain, or in overcast and when you have no idea where to look for a Pokemon, you now have RUclips and tutorials, imagine everyone's shock if this kind of game was on the 64 or GameCube with only a huge guidebook. I also completed that Pokedex before Pokemon Home was implemented.
@@nirvanazombie1991"gotta catch em all" was last used on gen 2 covers because gen 3 didn't even let you catch all of them already lol without the red/blue remakes alot of the previous mons weren't available anymore. in fact gen 3 was one of the most ludicrous generations to get a full dex without buying a bunch of the spin offs or have friends that had them
Both! PLA because the collector part of me squeals when I hear the shiny chime. SV because the battles and Tera raids are fun. I wish they kept the shiny chime for SV.
I liked Arceus when I was playing it. When it first came out, I was still playing Brilliant Diamond, but I was eager to play Arceus that I gave up on trying to do what I was doing, but that isn’t really saying much. However, after I beat the story in Arceus, I abandoned it because I missed playing Sword and Shield. I replayed that until Scarlet and Violet, and I haven’t stopped since.
Wow 😂, I’m still on sword and shield, havnt touched arceus or violet. I’m over 120 hours on sword and shield I think lol
Arceus. I haven't finished S&V yet so there is bias. Everything in Arceus feels so new and fun. I've had the most fun with Arceus than I've had with other games in awhile. S&V still feels very choppy, while Arceus hasn't had a single bug that disrupted my game. (Arceus Spoilers) I love how you get kicked out and have to be on your own for a bit in Arceus. The catching mechanic genuinely should be apart of all mainstream pokemon games.
I like both PLA and SV, but the devs could've given us PLA DLC by now...ive heard a pitch for a Celebi-themed story
Gen 9. It’s really special to me.
I have to choose scarlet and violet, never before has the storyline in a Pokémon game made me cry. They just had to add a sick pupper 😭😭
Ikr!!!
I think the plot and storytelling in this game is one of the stronger ones in the franchise. Especially towards the end.
I chose scarlet violet but I adore both games!!! I LOVE so many of the new designs, both for Pokémon and the human characters. Love the open world, the music, the plot, the characters themselves had a lot more life for me than in SwSh. Everything was a step up from SwSh by far. I also got very lucky in only have two or three very small technical issues and that’s it
Well the bad first for me: dislike the starters in Scarlet and Violet but also dislike not being able to have an option to evolve either Hisuan or not in Legends
Arceus as a whole was so much better and engaging compared to scarlet and violet in so many aspects
Okay so I’m getting back into Pokémon, I’ve put 120 hours into sword, what do I play next, Arceus or Violet 🙃 I’m so torn between both……
Same i rlly liked shield but i picked arceus i cant wait to play it tommorow
Me too and I think I will go with violet and then acreus
violet is literally my first game before sword so i gotta choose violet. i also didn't get glitches in my games so it was a good experience
I really like being able to let out any of your Pokemon and not just your lead Pokemon in Legends Arceus. I also like that you can dodge, move around during a battle, make your own pokeballs and potions, and catch Pokemon without having to battle them in that game. For Pokemon Scarlet and Violet I like having easy access to all the Pokemon you've caught and I like the open world aspect of it. If they make another Pokemon game in the future I would like to see all those things combined.
If scarlet and violet actually functioned properly they would be the best games in the franchise by a long shot
I'm option 3. Both are good and have flaws.
Archeus has some good new mechanics and challenges. However for a completionist like myself I get bothered with the extremely grindy (side)quests.
Violet and Scarlet have a good feel story wise like the good old pokemon games. However the extreme % amount of status effects and the still enforced walkthrough is a missed chance besides the bugs and graphic issues.
So Both. Both is good.
The SV bug showed is exclusive to emulators :)
Also, did you know that both games were made at the same time by two different teams?
Still doesnt change the fact that the game slows to a crawl the moment you enter tagtree thicket or the lake, game has terrible performance
I think what goes under appreciated in Arceus is game expression in not just your team, but the hub of the world (Jubilife Village). Getting to create a town with your favorite pokemon running around is something im going to miss if removed from another Pokemon game.
S/V < Legends Arceus < S/V Dlcs
After the few patches S&V have releases has vastly improved the game performance to the point I don't have a lot of issues with it and even frame rates have improved (not saying they're the best but improved none the less)
Arches got one update that added Massive Mass Outbreaks and some special battles for certain Pokémon but yeah, they could’ve killed Legends for a year and I would’ve gladly gave them my money
I like the fact of everyone actually afraid of pokemon cause the dex keeps mentioning how powerful pokemon are and in past games everyone just treats all of it like normal while in arceus you actually have to be careful about catching pokemon
I literally just bought Legends Arceus a couple days ago and got really addicted to it that I played it for like 5 hours straight and didn’t even get that far in it either. I just had so much fun catching Pokémon in the very beginning so I literally just ran around in the very first area catching Pokémon. Then I started a new Profile on my Switch just so I could play a separate game with a different male instead and different starter. (Rowlet is my first starter and named him Samurai Jack and Oshawott is my second starter and named him Riptide). I also bought both Scarlet and Violet when they came out and been playing them since. I beat Violet’s story and am now just playing it mainly to farm money for when DLC comes out. Been playing through Scarlet’s story now and just beat Iono and working on my team and also found myself a random shiny Rookidee and got a shiny Kingambit in Violet. No shinies in Legends yet though.
Arceus gang
👇
Arceus by a MILE
graphics are way better, travelling is better, story is better, and I just love it
Yeah literally if you just combined both game series is together it'd be perfect
I love arceus, but I would have 100% said scarlet/violet if they had released a finished polished game. As it stands now I just can’t rank it above arceus even though there’s amazing potential!
I got really attached to S/V’s characters, more involved in the overall story, and just found it more memorable.
However, my Shiny Alpha Luxray does give LA some points…
Nah, S/V is my new home.
Being for real legends arceus made me the shiny hunter I am today. After a long day of middle school, I'd go home, grab my switch and spend like 1-2 hours shiny hunting everyday! Now in just legends arceus I have 3 full boxes of shiny pokemon (and still no shiny charm)
I definitely like Arceus more because it's easier to notice shiny pokemon than in Scarlet and Violet. Plus I like the Alpha mechanic and it creates a new challenge of shiny alpha hunting
Even though scarlet and violet has lag I still like it better than Arceus
The trailers for scarlet and violet was good but the evolutions for the starters are dudu so I'm gonna go with legends aceus
Legends arceus hands down, I was devastated we didn’t get DLC and they moved on to the next Gen
Arceus. Even if only for the fact that you don't get to see your legendary Pokemon until the END game! Not right off the bat
Everyone's Gunna say Arceus but I'm yet to play either
Violet. Is amazing lol
I wish they’d make a story for it then add the Pokémon battles tournaments and of course the bad guys. If they could add those 3 things in a singular game it’d sale like hotcakes. I miss the old Pokémon Colosseum games on game cube
We need a Pokémon game like that, or at least an anthology collection of the traditional Pokémon games(not the spinoffs) for younger and newer fans of the games who have missed out on the previous generation titles...especially since Bank got shit-canned
I cant believe people crying over the performance. Had literally no issues or lag whatsoever except bad hacky rendering from a far distance. Its like you got nothing and just desperately try to get a jab in on S/V. But really, S/V needs more of an end game more than just pvp, raids, shiny hunting. It needs to get its difficulty upped a lot! There is no reason for it to be so easy and cheesy. Might be the easiest pokemon game to complete gyms and story etc
While legends goes on the right track i dont think its pulled off well at all. Some parts are good but ultimately it just feels empty, boring, linear and not pokemon like. It tries too much to be zelda, like lets go tries to be Po Go
Arceus
Also, PLA got a update during the Pokemon Present. It’s called the Daybreak update
♥️💜 try to change my mind
Worse shiny hunting poor performance extreme lag and oh can’t forget bad starters personally I prefer legends
@@TheSpoonARK Worse shiny hunting? It’s a lot easier but worse, How? I mean if you don’t like it being easy don’t use sandwiches. I know this is a matter of personal preference but I liked the starters this gen (IMO a MASSIVE upgrade from the past 3 gens). And I guess there were a few performance issues (I didn’t get many for some reason but people I know did) but I feel like a competitive and actual online being available at least makes up for that. Anyway this is all my opinion, feel free to disagree
I like both in their own way but Arceus had more immersion to it
Team I love it but scarlet and violet is a slight winner👇
Both are really refreshing!
Refreshing? Violet is exactly the same as the others
i not say because i never have played both yet but i think all Pokémon games are amazing there’s no doubt about that ❤
Scarlet and violet because the online is my favourite
how does Arceus not getting a dlc make the game less good?
I like them both I love how everything is in arceus then in scarlet and violet when glitches and bugs happen I find the very funny for some reason
Now- who had the better villian?
1: a manipulator who traveled alongside you and helped you throughout your mission. Only to find out he was jealous of what you had, and unleashed one of the Strongest Pokemon to defeat you.
Or
2: a dead father who built an AI
I like pla more just for the way Pokémon spawn as in pla the spawns are tied to specific landmarks and locations. Really making you explore for certain mons whereas in sv Pokémon spawn in broad areas and the only thing that makes a Pokémon rare is their spawn rate deincentivizing exploration and replacing it with running around aimlessly until one spawns
i agree, the specific locations and the alpha pokémon gimmick is very cool, seeing all the different sizes of pokémon, not to mention shiny hunting is a lot easier in PLA
I agree. I circle a tree or run 10 feet and turn around then pokemon spawn. If I pass one and turn around it disappears. Arceus is better not being that way.
Legends Arceus, easy pick. It is a phenomenal game.
I I'm playing arcues right now and it is pretty good. But haven't played scarlet and violet but just by videos it looks pretty glitchy so Im with arceus
I would give it a chance. The videos online are often over exaggerated and I feel that the game was actually very good (my second favorite and I’ve played all but 2 of the games in the series).
Pokémon contests as a real alternative to gyms
It's sad that both have their flaws. I miss when gamefreak did their 2D magic. They really knew what they were doing and one could tell 5 minutes into the game that they poured all their heart and soul into every new installment. Even diamond and pearl imo. Don't get me wrong, no game is perfect but every time i replay one of the old games, even the ones that were before i actively started playing, therefore missing the nostalgia part for me, feel so whole and made with so much care.
If they combine the fluencisity of Pokemon Arceuses gameplay with the Classic original style of Violet and Scarlet. Make some tweaks with the music and Battle mechanics to introduce something similar to Strong and Agile style or sneaking up and throwing a PokeBall to catch the pokemon directly. I think it would be and if not the closest thing we are going to get a Perfect Pokemon Game. Also voice acting.
Heavily agree! Literally summed up my thoughts on the topic
Personally i'd go with sv because its story was just 100% perfect and the characters were amazing and i did not care 1 bit about the bugs and issues
I like how the metallic Pokémon are shiny and a bit reflective in Pokemon sv
Nah that kid be having fun💀
We don’t need open world Pokémon games anymore
Arceus but Violet/Scarlett’s story is literally engrained in my memory for the rest of my life. Actually cried at the end
I would actually rate both games equally. I didn’t have any major glitches in the game. Sometimes the camera would let me see inside the ground in Violet. And both games had some questionable lighting. Both had great stories and gameplay that I really enjoyed.
Scarlet and Violet woulda been better if it didn't have so many glitches
Both, both are good
If legends arceus had a few more good pokémon, like sableye breloom bisharp and relicanth, I honestly think it would be the best game on the switch (not just in the Pokémon franchise!)
I dont get why this multi million dollar brand doesnt make a full fledged game with voice actors cutscenes and slightly more realistic graphics (still keeping the cartoonish vibe)
Because it's owned evenly three ways between Game Freak, Creatures Inc., and Nintendo.
Game Freak develops, Creatures does models and animation, and Nintendo publishes.
Game Freak isn't a very good studio. If we had, for example, Intelligent Systems or some other Nintendo studio work on a main series game, then we might get a masterpiece. But unfortunately, Game Freak somehow gets to make all of them. Any decision would have to be approved by all 3 companies, and Game Freak and Creatures Inc. have been basically symbiotes and rarely give the brand to other developers.
the pokemon website said Scarlet violet is first Pokemon open world game, when Legends arceus is the first
I think the Arceus catching with the Let's go feature from scarlet would be great
I don’t know I just really am finding myself to be enjoying Pokémon violet more then I did with Pokémon arceus I don’t know if it’s because of the gym aspect and just the huge free roaming. it’s really fun for me.
Storyline and overall design: Legends of Arceus
New Pokémon: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
I just don’t like the idea of being attacked my Pokémons, but I still love Arceus. But Pokémon Violet has a special place in my heart.
I've played every game since TCG and Pokemon yellow, Arceus was literally the best time I've had in the series since heart gold and soul silver..
I like both even though i got legends on release date, didn't really play it and burned out from it but i was able to get back into it once they did that shiny baneful fox mask mystery gift and got burned out from violet from its poor performance
I got this short twice in a row somehow
I like how the metallic Pokemon are shiny and reflective
Arceus it’s the only one of the 3 I’ve played
i did not buy scarlet/violet because people say it is bad and doesn't deserve that much sales
Legit legends arceus with gyms/ elite 4 would be amazing, the catching is the best in arceus.
In terms of story, Arceus.
In terms of pokemon, Scarlet
Legends arceus is as the name suggests, a legend
For me scarlet/ violet bosses should have better main pokemon instead of constantly ending it with the car revaroom
Not even close to a competition. Arceus. This is like comparing a juicy steak to mud on which tastes better.
Legends Arceus was the shake up this series really needed and the gameplay loop is amazingly addictive.
It also made so many quality of life tweaks I never knew I needed and although SV kept some of them... it mostly just ignored it and returned to how it was on the gameboy...
Scarlet and Violet is just easier to play. Arceus got a bit on my nerves after realizing I need to make my own pokeballs etc. I gave Arceus up after about 40 min. I don't think Arceus is suitable for casual players.
Violet and Scarlett had too many buggs for how new it is .
Legends Arceus, Because Scarlett and Violet Changed The Pokemon's Cries sounds.
