This is the Morgan State Choir under direction of the late Dr. Nathan Carter singing "Beams of Heaven" in 1990. Ernest Saunders also sings on part of the song.
I thank God for the gift of Nathan Carter and his dedication to the young men and women of Morgan Stete University. I have enjoyed countless hours of their beautifully blended voices. Thank God for beautiful music.
I was three years old when this trumpeter of directors taught me how to sing the songs of Zion, and my heart hurted when he transition from labor of music to directing in heaven in 2004, God bless this epistle of music, thank you Dr. Nathan Mitchell Carter (1936-2004), and your life for the Morgan state university choir (1970-2004).
Look at this. This is absolutely angelic. And the talent that came from THIS particular choir is nothing short of phenomenal. From Ernie Saunders to Maysa Leak to Charnita Edwards to Steven Jones.
An awesome young man of God. I was blessed to be called by him, "Dad" My sons were his "brothers", My wife was a second mom., We miss him and speak of him often.

Ernie it has been almost 7 years and it seems like yesterday. You are greatly missed but your legacy lives on in the lives of sooooo many!!!
