Love Dr Carter, love this chior, thanking God I met and spoke with this man of God before passed. The choir visited my church twice.I also saw them live at my nephews graduation at Morgan State. This along with Oakwood University is amongst the best.God is the center
I was there singing that nigt and I still remember that...Liz sang that song and the recording does it no justice. My mother died on Sept 30th 1990 and I remember playing my tape over and over gain until it just popped because my mom was no longer suffering the cares of this world!! OMG!!!
@@s.j.l.8252 Honestly I do not recall where I was situated and honestly do not recall if I sang that night in the stands (lots of personal family issues)but I was there that night though and just remember that was the most awesome song ever.
Miss Liz was like a Disney Princess to me when I was a little girl. Her voice was so pure and angelic and she was pretty. Chronicles of choir rehearsals with mom in the old Murphy Auditorium.
Yes I will never forget rehearsing this song...we would get tore-up in rehearsal too. I remember this song moreso from this concert and when we arrived in Bonn Germany(Stephen Jones sang it for us then) because we still had to go on with the Bethovenfest without Margaret Lindsey (she passed away a day or so before we left for Germany) this song reminds me that in EVERYTHING HE is to be praised..Imma find Liz...she is gonna sing this at my wedding! LOL Amen!
Elizabeth Norman works at Roosevelt University, which I will be attending for graduate school next semester. I've always seen this video and thought how wonderful she is and how I would love to meet her. Now I will get the chance to personally meet her and tell her how much her voice inspires
Sometimes this is all we can say. Believing all one is doing is fulfilling The covenant but the worst of the worst happens with no revelation to heal a breaking heart. The escalation of violence in America no long belongs to the African American community, but we stood and bore the the pain. The pain felt tonight by the families in Texas is enormous but all that can be offered in this present moment is “God be Praised.” May the Peace of Jesus Christ be with the families in Texas. In JESUS name, Amen. 🙏🏿🌹❤️😷😇
One of my favorites pieces of Dr. Margaret Douroux's arrangements. Simply beautiful!! Ms. Norman's vocal range is outstanding! The choir under Dr. Nathan Carter's direction is superb. God Bless his memory.
I remember Nassau. We had a ball at the Carnival Crystal Palace! (Germany too!) I concur..even in rehersal, Liz brought tears to my eyes! I remember talking to Dr. Carter in his office before we went to Germany. He really took Ms. Linsay's death hard. Steven Jones and I did too! We knew her from Forest Park High School. Miss you guys! We were the best! Dr. Arshad Middleton
I heard this choir live in Nassau, Bahamas. I saw and heard firsthand all of the soloists featured in the video recording that has this song on it. I have never in my life experienced a better musical experience!!!!!!!
I frequently visit Apostolic Church of God in Chicago for Sunday worship. She sang a solo one Sunday morning, and I said to myself that she looks familiar. After viewing this video I definitely remember her now from the Morgan State Reunion Choir Concert Video(1996). Her voice is still amazing.
i kno she is one of the high soprano lead on it is well with my soul...from msu. the other is dark skinned...also on the reunion christmas program, they sang it again and they absolutely killed it!!!! another soprano, kennethia sumthn...was the added coloratura on that piece...awesome!!
"She" LIZ is the soloist singing... "She #2" is the late Maragaret Lindsey is in the sec to the bottom row full-figured older lady in the center of the 2nd alto section right.* if you were in the choir during that time you will see her next to Sherry Hunt and Jiuwannia.
Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. (Psalms 113:1) Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. (Psalms 113:2) From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised. (Psalms 113:3)

The woman's name is KISHNA, not KEISHNA,
and this is not her.
This is Liz Norman Baby, and she is AMAZING!
Did I see John Stanley, music director for Patti Labelle, in the choir?
She's singing and teaching
Singing and worshipping an excellent GOD who is indeed worthy to be Praised.
She sings EXACTLY like Lara George in Nigeria... Same voice!!!
