The NFL is going back to Natural Grass in the majority of arenas because it is preferred by the players. You are also attributing the hardwood to be the cause when there are a large amount of factors like players conditioning the length of their careers and the way the game has chosen to be played. Injuries also increased in the 2020-21 season at the highest rate since 2009 so it is clear that preparation or the lack thereof during covid led to an increase in injury. I say all this to say that flooring is not the problem.

This is one of your best videos! You make a good point about it being a tricky transition period for changing the floors, but I feel like as technology just keeps advancing, it's a change that will eventually be due at some point. When you look at some old basketball sneakers, it makes you realise just how much technology and the sport has changed - some of them literally provided 0 ankle support and cushioning, and players would all just ball in them like it was normal hahaha

The red, white, and blue ball was a way for The ABA to distinguish itself while it was trying to challenge The NBA. George Mikan was The ABA’s commissioner for a time

Mikan was the commissioner for time and he did make that decision. I didn‘t know that was part of the reason though. That makes a lot of sense

Sorry to say but there much more injuries on non-wood than wood floors in basketball and other indoor sports.. torn ligaments like the ACL is the biggest problem. artificial surfes grips to much. That's why NFL teams are switching back to natural gras. Even soccer is switching back to natural gras.. yes its😢more expensive going natural but it protects the player's much better from injuries and especially ligaments in the leg's and feet...
