I love the Tensor! Love the short looper and what you can do with the "alt" direction. I use the Tensor most of the time with reverse speed and slightly mixed in, so it adds some "funny notes" as I call them. And on top of that, it's great at basic pitch-shifting too =D
Got mine today - incredible, but I cannot for the life of me understand the NXT mode at all. Nowhere I’ve been and nothing I’ve read has cleared it up for me!! To me it’s just coming across as a longer delay?
Thank you for purchasing a Tensor! Did you check out this video? ruclips.net/video/LryBJ3iNO_Q/видео.html (link starts at 5:25). In NXT mode it is swapping between two buffers, which lets you do all kinds of manipulations to the previous buffer while you play into the next buffer. You need to "play ahead" of what you want to hear, but it allows you do do things like time compression, polyrhythms, or synchronize the time stretching instead of having the Tensor analyze your playing to control it.
Three options: (1) Using NXT (dual buffer) mode is the same as reverse delay, you set the length and timing of each reversed segment. (2) Using the SPEED knob is different from a reverse delay - the Tensor analyzes your playing and intelligently reverses in real-time (the old Digitech Space Station had a similar effect). (3) You can also set the SPEED to reverse (7:00) and ON footswitch to momentary to instantly rewind what you just played. That is great for switching between forward and reverse in solos.
The Tensor has been the only constant on my ever changing board for some years now. Love it.
Simplicity at its best!

I was doing exactly the same right now. Funny.
great timing!
Guy with a Line 6 Helix pedal looks over at my 4 pedals and says wtf

Brilliant I love mine!!!
Is this the same as reverse delay effects or no?
