I so enjoyed watching you care for everyone around you - even the birds! I used to love making suet cakes for the birds every winter when I lived in the snow belt (avg 90-100 inches of snow a year!). They need the fat in the extreme cold. And I always put out some ears of corn for the squirrels. It didn't keep them off the bird feeders, but it slowed them down a bit since they had something of their own. 😊
I always loved school "snow days". It was such a treat to have an unexpected, extra day with my daughter during the week! You all looked so content keeping warm in the kitchen together with the snow outside.
And you made pretzels! Yummmm! Your whole family looked so excited! ❤

Oh, Elmer sold me on some flour last time we were at the Market and I made bread in our bread machine for the 1st time. It turned out great & my husband loved it! Bread might be one more thing we don't have to buy pre-packaged at the grocery store. That makes me happy.

The snow was beautiful, we loved it. But it was so cold, we were not prepared for such low temps. I made soup too, stocked up our freezer with a few different kinds.

Nice video ! Also, remember the comforter and sheet set you sewed? I had bought one from Beddy's and the bottom sheet is thread bare, Would you suggest I find someone to replace it or toss it? I paid almost $300 for that set of sheets and comforter.
That's a tough one! Maybe someone would be able to repair it for you. If I spent that much on a bedding set, I would at least check into getting it fixed before I toss it. Hope you can find someone to help you out! Have a good week end! :)
Amy, what state do you live in? I can only imagine how bitter cold it was hanging the bird feeders up. I live in Ga where it hasn't been too bad, so far.
