Oh I hate that when I’m playing. I play alto sax and if I’m wearing shorts while sitting I have to wipe the seat up. It’s really gross, but the worst thing is when I’m just walking and playing or just walking after playing and spit just randomly comes out of one of the holes.

It's a nightmare. I used to be 2nd soprano in masterworks chorale, so I am now a serious face twitcher (...and dancer). My voice was ruined by my thyroid growing and entangling in my vocal chords...I was almost completely mute. I can no longer hold a note steady they slip and slide away. So now my violin is my voice and I find myself "lip syncing" every note--worst of all the vibrato twitch. Trying to not do that, I am biting a bloody hole in my lip....arrrrrrgggghhh!! This is why I will never play in public.
